Bills one of 6 teams in on Leveon Bell
Wayne Cubed replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea I'm not buying that it's only the Jest in on Bell at this point. -
CJ Mosley to the Jets (5 yr, $85M, $51M gtd)
Wayne Cubed replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
CJ Mosley just isn't a modern sideline to sideline MLB. Great at stopping the run, can sort of cover but that's a good amount of money to stop the run. -
TE Tyler Kroft (Bengals) to the Bills
Wayne Cubed replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Take the Free Agent oath... I will not overreact to initial numbers released for contracts. These aren't usually the actual numbers and are pumped up a bit to make the agent and the player look good. -
RB Frank Gore (Dolphins) to the Bills
Wayne Cubed replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea, Gore still has some juice in the tank and he's one of the best blocking RBs ever but I don't know, just seems like you could wait a bit on him. Maybe another RB shakes lose that you like. -
RB Frank Gore (Dolphins) to the Bills
Wayne Cubed replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't mind the signing, prefer him to Ivory just thought he's more a 2nd tier FA that you could sign in a week or 2. Just wait and see what shakes out from other teams first... and then go after Gore. -
RB Frank Gore (Dolphins) to the Bills
Wayne Cubed replied to sven233's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What does saving $2M do? They haven't even started spending. I kind of get it, he's one of the best if not the best pass blocking RB but this is a signing you do later in FA. I very much doubt people were banging down his door to sign him. -
Report - Bills interested in Frank Gore, RB
Wayne Cubed replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean, why? -
NYG still looking to trade OBJ
Wayne Cubed replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So Allen shouldn't have any weapons because the Bills offense isn't ready? Huh? Radical concept, the Bills can improve the OL, get a TE AND trade for a elite WR. Giving Allen someone to throw to can only improve the chances that he succeeds. -
Why have a tampering period... obviously tampering was already happening haha

I mean crazy that the Raiders could get this contract sorted out in 15 mins... ?

If we were going to trade for Julio it would be possible to swap picks, say 1st and 2nd, and throw in a later round pick and that would give the Falcons the value of a late round 1st round pick. Ultimately I think that's were Julio's worth is, a late round 1st. A player like OBJ or Evans, because of age, is more worth that number 9 pick AND they already have a contract in place. The Bills swap of picks with Pitt that was being reported would have equated to a late 1st round pick at any rate.

I just don't think the Falcons are ready to pay what Julio wants, he's already sat out last season and he's the 9th highest paid WR. Not with Ryan on the books with a huge contract as well. With the Bills cap situation they should be overpaying for players, they need to. What Brown has just done has raised the price tag for Julio for the Falcons. If they could get another 1st and improve that team, it wouldn't be a ridiculous thing to do as much as Falcon fans would hate it. He's nearly through his prime and WR isn't a cornerstone of a franchise.

I think Atlanta makes this trade because they just drafted Ridley, who has looked pretty good. Also they realize Ryan has only a few years left and they need to reload. Draft picks would help that. I mean look what Oakland did.... Cooper, a 3rd and a 5th for Brown and a 1st. Not bad for Oakland and they would have ended up paying Cooper just about what they are going to pay Brown. I'm not sure why some fans think this will "wreck" the salary cap. They have a QB on the cheap for 4 more years. The biggest salary on the books is Star. They have to spend the money, just drafting players won't do that.

I’ve said previously the only way the Bills are getting a proven “#1” receiver is via a trade. To me that means you have to inquire about: Brown(they did) Jones OBJ Evans OBJ and Evans would obviously cost more but those teams are rebuilding and a WR is not the cornerstone of your franchise. I mean look what Oakland just pulled off. Swapped Cooper, a 3rd and 5th for Brown and a 1st.

Bills have interest in Seattle DE Frank Clark
Wayne Cubed replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Er Vic... the rumour is for trading for him. Saying that, it is silly season for rumors. Agents putting stuff out there to drive up interest in their clients. -
Have you looked at their salary cap numbers? They have are about to have a ton of holes and like $3M in cap money this season. They are going to have to make decisions on A LOT of players. The cap situation is a mess there. They'll end up cutting players and getting nothing for them. It's not about how Evans fits into their offense, it's about being realistic with what needs to be done in Tampa. They have 6 draft picks and do basically nothing in FA. I'm not saying it will happen, I'm saying it's worth inquiring about with the shape that that team is in.

Add Tampa to that list, they're rebuilding and maybe they'd consider moving Mike Evans
