I don't think they really said that about the QBs as they still had 1 go top 5 and 3 in the top 15. If you said 2013, I would agree. I haven't changed my narrative at all, I've said the same exact thing all offseason. The Bills should trade for a WR1 and draft a WR2 because there isn't a WR1 in the draft. I'm not saying the BIlls have handled the WR position correctly, they haven't, but to expect this draft to fix would be foolish, IMO.

I like how he keeps talking about the Pats** way but then uses generic phrases about players. -

Hahahaha Although he has been very positive about the BIlls draft as well. -

I'm not sure what other peoples expectations of this draft with regards to the WR position but I always thought and said this draft did not have an elite WRs. There were no WR1s in this draft, evidenced by how the WR position in general has been drafted. It's a deep WR draft but not high on elite talent. This was always known, so I wasn't expecting the Bills to fix the WR room this draft. Saying that what I thought the BIlls should have been doing is trade for a WR1, it was the only way they were going to get one on this team this year. If they could do that then they could look for a WR2 in the draft. What looks like what happened is they've gotten their WR2 in free agency after they were unsuccessful in getting Brown, a true WR1. Maybe they could have gone after Beckham but I think his price was too high for McBeane. Next years draft looks full of very good skill positions so maybe they'll have to kick the can down the road for their WR1? That could prove problematic if they plan on being good next year and pick in the 20s. At this point I'm not sure what their actual plan is unless they are able to trade for one.

Albright when asked where DK goes...

Ok, literally any of those teams could trade down and some trades up for DK. Was just giving my opinion. -
uh Dave, Rodgers was taken at 24.... not 6

I don't think so, not with Mayock running the show. The defense needs rebuilding. Nah Indy is going secondary here. I think WR is way down their lists of priorities. Arizona I think if they were going to go WR it would have been for Harry but I think they go OL, it's awful and their are some good value OL here. -

Well assuming there are no trades look at who's ahead of the Bills: Cardinals - I would assume they could go OL here, it was literally the worst in the NFL. They could go WR but there is some good value OL here. Indy - I think they go CB, I think they were going to go CB in the first round, this doesn't change. Raiders - Could go CB here too or DL 49ers - They do need a WR1 but I don't think Metcalf is a Shanahan WR1 Seahawks - Again, could go CB... I thought they would have taken one 1st round. Jags - OL, wouldn't this be funny everyone had them pegged for Taylor in the 1st and they get him in the 2nd. Bucs - Again CB or DL. -
Unbelievable

2019 NFL Draft - Day 1 Debrief
Wayne Cubed replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be happy if the Bills stand pat and are able to grab DK, I still think he could fall to them. At this point I wouldn't move up to him or a WR, unless it seems like their may be a run? Stay put. I like Dawson Knox, he'd be a nice grab in the 3rd or my guy is Josh Oliver... we get to draft 2 Oliver's in this draft! -

Kind of thought there would be more of a run on Secondary guys in the early 20s but I think Pitt move up put the kibosh on that and then Seattle/Indy traded out. There are a lot of nice secondary guys that could still fall into the Bills lap and I wouldn't be upset if they took one or traded back. I think round 3 is the sweet spot for TE if they decide to go that way for an offensive skill position. -
This is before the Baker pick but LOL

RD 1, Pick 9: DT Ed Oliver, University of Houston
Wayne Cubed replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea, it has to be a case that most people haven't watched him because he mostly occupied the 0T. Houston asked him to move laterally across the line and he wasn't asked to pass the rush as much but when he did he was a monster. He is a natural 3T and will be a beast, book it. -
Jawaan Taylor??? Why is he still there?
