So, so sad. Couple years ago I was visiting one of my best friends in LA and his wife went into labor prematurely, about 25 weeks along, and baby didn't make it. I got to see him take his last breath in his mothers arms, just a moment that's hard to describe having a child of my own. Puts a lot of things in perspective.

Ah yes, a post of stats, without any context. The first half rushes for the Bills were as follows: (first play of the game) K.Ford right guard to BUF 27 for 1 yard L.McCoy right end to BUF 18 for -4 yards L.McCoy left guard to NE 24 for 5 yards K.Ford left guard to BUF 31 for 5 yards K.Ford right guard to BUF 33 for 2 yards L.McCoy right end pushed ob at BUF 30 for 1 yard L.McCoy right tackle to NE 30 for 2 yards (end of the half)K.Ford up the middle to BUF 14 for 5 yards So in the first half the Bills had 8 rushes for 17 yards. Clearly running the ball wasn't working. And really it was 7 rushes for 12 yards because the end of the half run by Ford was NE** going into the locker room. So no BS there, the Bills didn't have a running game. Also for context, Ford's longest run, 11 yards came on the last series for the Bills, when the game had already been decided. So while you might like to cherry pick the overall stats. Context shows that Ford didn't nearly have the game you think he had. At the half he had 3 rushes for 8 yards, that free 5 yards from NE** before the half only inflates his stats. But even then he was only averaging just over 3 YPC. He did much the same the second half. It's the 11 yard run at the end of the game that puts his runs at over 4 YPC. Context.

Yea, it's certainly not Daboll, to my eye. He gives Josh plenty of easy throws that either Josh misses (doesn't see) or misses (the throw). I really like the offense Daboll has made, it lives and dies with Josh, which a modern NFL offense should. Penalties and mistakes have hampered it some but I can't really say I've disliked too much of what I've seen. The only parts which I've seen that have been questionable are from a personnel perspective (going heavy with L. Smith to open the Pats** game, Singletray's use etc.)

The running I think is his way of overcoming not being able to make a play. The problem is, yesterday specifically, that there were plays to be made. If he would have just taken what the Pats were giving them, which he did with the drive in the 3rd, they could points on the scoreboard. And it may not be pretty but it gets the job done.

Yea true, just think it's different coaching styles to be honest. Marrone was never really in love with the pick and so didn't really back playing him. I do think Allen has a much higher ceiling than Manuel but if he ever get's there is anyone's guess.

That's fair but the Bills 2014 defense, when he was benched, was very good.

Yea that's Josh Allen and EJ Manuel. Josh does have 11 rushing TDs but as passers...

Like I said, the plays are there to be made tho. The problem is the errors, either with the penalties or Josh. Josh was well on his way over 300 yards in both the Giants and Bengals games but errors and poor play stopped that. I've not thought the play calling has really limited them. I think you could nitpick about personnel, like Lee Smith seeing more of the field than Knox yesterday or giving Gore the majority of the snaps over Singletary.

I actually think the offense is pretty good. As with most offenses the Bills will live and die by how well Allen plays. It's not as if there weren't plays to be made yesterday, Allen just missed them and made poor decisions. Were there some plays that were defended well? Sure and that'll happen against BB, just can't have the errors or you give yourself no chance of winning.

I get that take, I really do but I don't think yesterday was about Belichick causing that kind of result. Josh was Josh's own undoing. Instead of taking what was given to him he tried to go for the jugular and this isn't the first time he has done that. Will he learn? There's a reason Daboll was chewing his ear out. You just can't do that. And he proved it to himself that if you take what NE** was giving you, you can score a la the start of the 2nd half. Yea, the NE** defense is good and you might not play your best game and throw for a ton of yards/TDs but you can't be just giving them the game. I'm not saying Josh can't become that guy but he has to learn. You just can't play that type of game against NE**. Do I want Josh to stop being aggressive? Course not. But when he gets frustrated with not being able to move the ball he's gotta stop the hero ball BS.

And when you see the BS call of a hold on Dawkins... it most certainly should have been enforced.
