  1. If El Pegual owns the Bills, can he own the Sabres too?
  2. Ummm, hate to break it to you but Thurman Thomas is the #3 in receptions in Bills history all time. 5th in yards. Let that sink in for a second. #JimKellySucks #Hashtag
  3. Is Jordan Palmer still an option?
  4. I'd buy that. There were times when the RB was open in the flat, for both QB's, EJ kept looking down the field while Rivers dumped it off. Happened quite a few times actually.
  5. Are you kidding me? They allowed the Chargers to march down the field, use up 7:30 in the 3rd qtr and in the same drive let them convert on 3rd and 10 and 3rd and 8. Oh and they let them score a TD on 3rd down after that. The defense was horrible today, if you couldn't see that you are lying to yourself. After the Chargers went up 20-3, it was cruise control. EJ didn't look great, and I think most people knew he'd have a bad game, but to say the defense was fine is just wrong.
  6. Can Kyle Orton stop defense on 3rd and 10, 3rd and 8, 3rd and 6? If so, yes.
  7. @buffalobills: INACTIVE: 29 CB Cockrell, 35 RB Brown, 56 LB Rivers, 58 LB Johnson, 68 G Richardson, 71 T Kouandjio, 89 TE Gragg. Looks like the new guy is active @ChargersRHenne: Today's inactives: Dontrelle Inman, Chris Davis, Steve Williams, Ryan Mathews, Ricardo Mathews and Ryan Carrethers. Ingram on IR to Return.
  8. Hard to tell really. Is he declining physically? Probably. Is he declining mentally w/regards to the game? Doubt it. I agree with the poster who said the Broncos have gone about it the right way, putting lots of talented WRs around Peyton. I think everyone will agree Peytons arm isn't what it used to be. But that doesn't mean he still can't be great. His situational knowledge and reading of defenses is invaluable. How he runs the offense. He has explosive playmakers to take advantage of situations and defenses. Guys get open. That's where I think the Pats have made their biggest mistakes. Yes, I think at a certain point in his career it didn't matter who Brady was throwing to, to a degree. But I think now he needs talent at the skills positions.
  9. Yea I think I'd have to back and look at last years... Not about to do that.
  10. I know this would be a tough stat, but I'd want to know YPC inside the red zone. I think overall YPC skews the stats because it's easier to rip off big chunks in between the 20s not inside it. I know Buffalos is 1.28 YPC this season. How does that compare to say Denver? Or Cincy? I'll have to do some work... EDIT: obviously the numbers will be below normal YPC as there is less room and goal line stops but anyways, Denver: 9 runs, 34 yards. 3.7 YPC in the red zone. Cincy: 13 runs, 38 yards. 2.92 YPC in the red zone Dallas: 4 runs, 17 yards. 4.25 YPC in the red zone. Detroit: 10 runs, 41 yards. 4.1 YPC in the red zone. Kansas City: 10 runs, 28 yards. 2.8 YPC in red zone. Ok, let's revisit the Bills: 14 runs, 18 yards. 1.28 YPC. I think I'm starting to see that the better teams still can hover around 3 YPC or higher in the red zone. If anything it's clear they are in fact running much better, comparatively, to the Bills.
  11. Well apparently, according to some, the running game will NEVER get better in the red zone...
  12. Wow, that's a pretty definitive statement. Well then, I guess the Bills should just take your advice and give up running in the red zone. I mean why bother trying to improve. Inside the 20, just let EJ throw on every down. IMO, I don't even think you can put the fade on EJ. The throw to Woods, yes. The fade to Williams, the CB is playing zone 5 yards off the ball. In order for a fade pattern to work, they need to be playing press coverage so the WR can make a move at the line and get some separation. That didn't happen. Poor play call.
  13. I'm sorry but putting all the redzone trouble's on EJ is a bit ridiculous. -First, look at what the opposing defenses have been playing inside the Redzone. Zone. Playing 5 yards of the WR which takes away fade patterns(helllo Mike Williams) and the ability for the offense to stretch the defense in the redzone. Best way to force them to change? Effective running, which for 2 weeks straight the Bills haven't been able to do in the redzone. -Second, the playcalling and execution.14 runs vs 11 pass. Looking further on that in 14 run plays in the redzone the Bills have averaged 1.28 YPC. That's horrible. If you take away Manual's TD scramble and the other one he had, it drops below 1. So basically the RB's and the OL aren't getting it done. I know it's easy to paint the redzone problems on EJ with a broad brush, but the reality just isn't that simple.
  14. I think your getting your years confused... Trent Edwards was the 2008 season where they started 4-0 then went to Arizona for game 5 and Edwards got killed. 2011 was Fitzy and the Bills did go 5-2 before imploding.
  15. Touché, forgot that missed field goal.
  16. Nigel Bradham goes for the Tannehill sack
  17. I'm thinking the Bills defense steps up again. They were able to contain a very high powered Chicago Bears offense to 20 points. Bills 24 Chargers 14
  18. Technically they were 0 for 5, being that they did score 1 TD in their 6 trips inside the redzone.
  19. I do believe there are few that need to come back and eat some crow... I'm sorry but who's Cameron Wake?
  20. I'll echo what's been said already as I travel to the UK quite a bit. Pubs can only show what's on Sky Sports and Sky Sports only picks 2 games each Sunday to show, one at 6pm and one at 9pm local time. The only way to watch all the Games is the NFL GamePass, which is equivalent to Sunday Ticket online only. Fortunately, if you a desperate they do have a "Watch for 7 Days" feature which is £8.99($14). You won't get to see it in a pub/bar but you can still watch it. Or you could try some shady streaming website. I'd say those are your options.
  21. Yea, I understand that the NFL is trying to quell public concern about the brand, but the mob mentality IMO seems like they are searching for justice, almost like the NFL broke the law or bent the law.
  22. I think it's quite simple. Your body adjusts. I've lived all over the place and within month's I've adjusted, temperature wise, to where I was living. For example, I lived in Los Angeles, which is dry heat, when I went home to Buffalo occasionally, the humidity killed me and I would sweat, a lot. These guys have been practising and training in New England, where the heat and humidity might not be nearly as high as in South Florida. It's almost like how the Bronco's have home advantage when team's travel to Denver. I'm sure there are players who are from Denver or higher altitudes, but struggle when they travel there for a game. Maybe the effects don't show right away, but they do over time.
  23. I think this is where I'm at with those whole "fiasco". People see the video and get more upset that the suspension wasn't enough? It may not be right, but it was in line with previous suspensions given out. Maybe it's just me, but I don't get why the NFL is obligated to explain itself in this situation, as to why they didn't do enough. Surely people should be more upset with the justice system for not giving Rice a bigger punishment. But if the justice system didn't see fit to give Rice a more severe punishment, why is it up to the NFL to do it? And why is it ok that the local police department, allegedly, released evidence in an ongoing criminal trial? Is it just easier to blame the NFL? Just seems like the NFL is a scapegoat, as you say.
  24. I'm sorry I didn't put anything in your mouth, you did. You wrote: You said nothing at all about responsibility in that post and implied that Brandon was pulling the football strings. Now you're changing course and talking about responsibility, which I agree with. Russ is responsible for the product on the field from when he took over as President.
  25. That's great, I've worked from some great companies too. Guess what, the President of my current company has no clue about IT infrastructure or advancements in IT, server upgrades, etc. but, every IT move is discussed with her and she signs them off. She rely's on the IT managers expertise to make the decision about what kind of servers to use or how our networking will be set up See how that works? She empowers the IT manager to make decisions, she doesn't walk in a say, "well I heard about XYZ and this is what we are going to do." I don't understand why you don't get the difference between "involved" and "making the decision". EDIT: In your theory, your saying every President in every company is making IT decision, including what servers to use and how the companies network is set up.
