  1. Great job Chevy and everyone else who donated! I wonder if this will get picked up by any of the networks for the pregame show tomorrow?
  2. Big fan of the Belgian beer Delirium. Has anyone tried the Xmas beer they make?
  3. And if you read what I originally wrote I am not saying Marrone is faultless but to pin the RedZone problems completely on him IMO isn't right. He switched from EJ to Orton which helped a lot of the RedZone problems, but gets no credit for that. Then he gets tied to the problem with the RedZone when some of them are clearly player execution and decision making. Marrone and Hackett can't do anything about those 2 things that's why I brought up the KC game. Those were clearly player problems. Notice how I didn't bring up the Miami game or any other game? The truth is if the players executed properly, because the play calls were correct, the RedZone scoring percentage would be higher. My issue with Marrone is his game management and "feel" for the game. I don't think he had it. And no he's not my uncle.
  4. I honestly still do not get the people/fans who would take Chan Gailey back. The guy wanted Spiller but then it took him 2 years to figure out how to use him. He also was dead set on stating Trent Edwards to begin with. In his 3 years as head coach the Bills offense had 6 games where the offense failed to score a TD and 9 games where the offense didn't produce more than 10 points. With Marrone/Hackett the Bills have had 2 games where the offense didn't score and 2 games under 10 points. 1 last year and 1 this year.
  5. Agree. Gave me a little chill too. It looks very JJ Abrams-esque with some sprinkles of 'Star Wars' shots mixed in. The opening when John Boyega pops up on screen, which is an Abrams type shot, was very cool. I think it'll be fun and it's nice that it's got a different feel than previous Star Wars.
  6. Ah yea, what a great take again. I don't see why you can't blame Bryce Brown for the fumble, who the hell else would you blame? Actually don't answer because I know what your response is. I'm not even sure why I'm responding to you, you have had the same tired opinion since Marrone started.
  7. http://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/red-zone-scoring-pct I'm not really sure why you think they are completely inflated? Like I said the Dolphins/Chiefs games the Bills didn't score once in the Redzone, surely that negates the games against the Jets. But in case you were wondering they were 3/3 this past week against the Jete in the RedZone. In the first meeting the Bills were 4/6. The Bills were also 3/3 in the RedZone against the Pats*. Does that inflate it? They were 0/2 against the Dolphins and 0/4 against the Chiefs, but like I said in my previous post if Orton hits the 2 wide open receivers in the Chiefs game and Bryce Brown doesn't fumble they are at least 3/4.
  8. Nope, only EJ and Bryce Brown have made mistakes. That's it. That's obviously what I wrote. At least you are willing to agree the QB position was limited, that must have been hard to do.
  9. It bothers me when people throw rankings without any context. Are the Bills the very worst team in the NFL inside the RedZone? Actually no they aren't, that distinction belongs to San Francisco(40% scoring percentage), which is humorous because people want Harbaugh to come here. The Bills are 30th at 43%. So can we just attach that number to Marrone/Hackett and just say it's their fault? I don't think you can. The players still need to execute. The number includes 4 games of EJ Manuel who just refused throw the ball to his WR or TE's. With EJ in the first 4 games the Bills had a 37% scoring percentage. With Orton at QB the Bills have had a 47% scoring percentage in the RedZone which includes 2 games were they were at 0%. That 47% while not great would move them up 7 places. But look at the KC game for example, Bryce Brown fumbled the ball and Kyle Orton missed 2 wide open receivers. Is that Marrone/Hacketts fault? To me that seems more like player execution, Marrone/Hackett can't throw the ball and they can't not fumble the ball either. Let's say for arguments sake that Kyle Orton acutally hits the wide open receivers and Brown doesn't fumble the ball, that would raise the scoring percentage since Kyle has been the starting QB to 58%, that's good enough for top 10 in the league. This isn't a Marrone does anything wrong post because I believe there are things that he does wrong. I just don't get why all the offensive troubles have to be thrown at his feet. He's had a journeyman QB and a rookie QB. The best teams in the league in the RedZone are lead by franchise and elite QB's, which I tend to think has a bit more to do with it then the coaching staff.
  10. I read an interview where Chris Pratt said this role was more serious and he wouldn't be comical because the character isn't like that. Judging by the preview of the movie it seems like a more serious film and less gimmicky. It looks interesting but I'm always wary of directors who are doing their first big budget film.
  11. No need to apologize as I wasn't outraged the Bills kept him. I actually defended the move. Good/bad special teams don't make teams great. Bobby April had the Bills ST tops in the league during the Juaron era, it didn't matter. I said as much in the Crossman epic thread.
  12. Massive difference in the defenses they have played vs. the Bills. The closet pressure wise they have come up against is Houston and even they as a total defense aren't great.
  13. This will be the best defense the Browns have played by a large large margin. The Bills are currently ranked 4th overall the next closest team is Pittsburgh at 13. They like to run and the best rush defense they played was Balitimore and they rushed 30 times for 85 yards. If Baltimore had a better pass defense, they would have completely shut the Browns down.
  14. Joe Haden is grossly overrated. I pray that they single him up on Watkins. Last week against the Falcons he switched between Julio Jones and Roddy White. But he gave up an easy TD to Julio Jones, look at his coverage: Man Coverage on Jones who's in the slot. Gilbert is helping Skrine on Roddy White on the other side. Haden BITES hard on the play action and Jones is wide open. And when I say wide open, Haden wasn't within 5 yards of him. Between Jones and White, Haden gave up 92+ yards and a TD. He made up for it a bit with an interception. Skrine is worse but Haden is just overrated. He's a good not great CB. Honestly Sammy could have a great day if the Bills choose to challenge Haden and he's in man coverage.
  15. The bold was really the point of my post. I only had Okung as winning the SB being drafted in the top 10 the past 15 years. A previous poster, which I responded to, had said that you don't draft WR's in the top 10 because they don't win Championships. My point was that no matter what position you pick in the top 10 you are picking there for a reason. Probably because you lack talent. So acquiring and identifying elite talent, no matter what the position, should be the priority. A team can't keep picking certain positions in the top 10, if they are constantly picking there, just because you think they are more important. You could be passing up elite talent at other positions. Look at the elite QB's in the NFL: Peyton Manning Tom Brady Aaron Rodgers Drew Bree's One of them was picked in the top 10 and he's not even on the team that drafted him. The draft in my mine has been and always will be about identifying talent no matter where they are picked.
  16. They aren't throwing to Watkins because the Jets were rolling a safety over to his side. He absolutely torched the Jets in the first game, no way Rex was going to let that happen. Enter Bob Woods. Why force it to Watkins if Woods is open and being productive. I get that he's the shiny new toy, but if your game plan is working no need to force things. Watkins still has the most targets on the team.
  17. Well seeing as they are sitting at 7-4 and you'd have to ask them to go 1-4 down the stretch, I'd call that implode
  18. 9-7 and you would need a ton of help, basically you'd need Miami, KC, Pitt and San Diego to implode.
  19. Yea I just plugged it in and if they go 10-6 there is still a real possibility they get in. Of course they need some help, but the loses they need aren't crazy ones like Jets over Dolphins or Oakland over KC (again).
  20. I'll take Sammy stats and win over Odell Beckhams crazy catch and a loss all day long.
  21. Besides Cleveland, it looks like the rest of the AFC north is going to beat up on each other. San Diego's remaining schedule looks rough.
  22. Yea, that's really the crux of it. But it proves the point that when drafting in the top 10, you can't say "You only draft this position". It's about identifying talent in the top ten, regardless of position.
