  1. Great game. Cook looked like he has all season forcing the ball but I still think has all the tools. What a come back though!
  2. With regards to the defense, thats where you can count on Scwartz.
  3. Haha. That's pretty lame. Apparently Doug can do no wrong. It's not his fault the offense was horrible it's the new owners who have only been in place for 2 months.
  4. So now its Marrone would have received an extension but was worried about a new football czar coming in? That seems a bit contradictory. In fact it makes very little sense unless he was worried about loosing some of his offensive coaching staff and if he chose to opt out because he couldn't retain Hackett or get him an extension, wow.
  5. I agree that experience is overrated. Especially NFL experience. All great coaches are not cut from the same cloth.
  6. The Steelers as an organization are a whole different bag.
  7. It's a good argument and I agree maybe he is the type of coach who wouldn't force his philosophy. Hard to tell though. My only problem is if he wasn't a former Bills player, would anyone be talking about him? He hasn't been linked to any other teams for a HC position only Buffalo because he used to play here. It's a lot like the Levy at GM experiment in my mind. He was a good player but I haven't seen anything to prove or show that he would be a competent OC let alone HC.
  8. Please no. If the guy never played for Buffalo would fans even be talking about him? He's done nothing of significance in the NFL, yet.
  9. And actually got worse from 2013 to 2014 when Reich was handed some of the play calling duties. In 2013 when the SD offense was top 5 it was all McCoy. Reich has in no way developed his own offensive system, its all McCoy in SD and when Reich took over some play calling the offense regressed.
  10. Yea there is very slim chance the Bills would have found the QB of the future at 19 and even if they finished a bit worse by not picking Sammy, I still can't imagine, with the defense, they would be picking top 10 or even top 5. So, no shot at the best QBs in the draft.
  11. San Diego has Phillip Rivers. Reich was handed the reigns to the offense this year and took the 5th best offense and made them 18th. Sorry don't by the OL excuse. Maybe that would work in Buffalo where there is no QB, but great QBs, Rivers is one of them, don't need great lines. Luck doesn't need one, could he use one? Of course but he's still able to win. The Pats* made all sorts of oline changes this year. Brady was still Brady. Peyton under a horrible oline is still putting up big numbers. The Chargers offense regressed with Reich calling the plays. That doesn't look good.
  12. I'd be more than ok if Bevell was the choice. He could possibly make something work at QB.
  13. The Indianopolis Colts say hello. Horrible oline.
  14. That's exactly how most of them are reacting already. Look at social media. Bucky Brooks already called out Marrone. Road-hack is already saying its a good move. This isn't a Harbaugh situation where the team had been to 3 NFC championships and a SB. This was one winning season. He challenged Pegula and Pegula didn't back down.
  15. Clean house? He CHOSE to leave. We deserve what? Marrone tried a power move against the Pegulas and you're backing Marrone. He quit on the Bills after all that talk of togetherness, building a winner, blah blah blah. He quit. I'm sure he wanted security but he was so worried about what would happen next year, that he wouldn't be able to repeat his success(9-7), he made a move to get more money. What does that say about the confidence in his abilities. Wow.
  16. I wouldn't mind Schwartz, but he and Whaley better go all out for an OC. Whatever it takes.
  17. He's the lead candidate to get the Jets job. Just wow.
  18. Wow. You called it. Marrone opts out.
  19. Could go a bit higher, but I don't think it'll be anything over 13M a season. That's Clay Matthews type money. Even though Matthews is a LB I think Hughes compares to him. Justin Houstons contract may set the market though. Crazyier things have happened though. He also played a lot of snaps and was on the field a lot with Bryant and Charles.
  20. I put him around 10M a season as well. Something like 5 years 50M-56M with 35M guranteed. Tamba Hali type money. That's completely affordable for the Bills.
  21. I've said previously, and I know this is bandits thread, that Hundley in terms of measurables and readiness for the NFL he reminds me of Manuel. Loads of physical tools but hasn't really put them all together. I've also said like bandit I could see him climbing into the first round. I don't like him for the Bills because they already have Manuel but if he could find a team he could sit and learn he could be very good. Biggest problem he needs to work on is pocket presence. It's bad with Hundley. He's quick to take off. EDIT: also great post bandit, appreciate the time you put into it.
  22. Can't argue with that if so long as that QB is a proven elite QB.
