  1. Hahahaha. Nice. But, but, but the Seahawks have Russell Wilson. Seattle Seahawks 2014: last in pass attempts. 2nd in rush attempts and 1st in yards. Ground and pound is dead.
  2. Good interview, I thought he was very candid and I like how he talked about the draft. It was some good insight.
  3. That could be part of it or maybe he wasn't sure the front office could succeed in aquiring new defensive talent. Mike Smith was from the same Ravens organization as Rex, Del Rio brought him with him to Jacksonville. So maybe he just didn't like the front office and didn't think he could acquire enough talent. I mean the Falcons defensive drafting has bet pretty bad. Actually it's been horrible and there was very little change to the FO in the off season.
  4. http://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/2010/4/9/1412079/football-101-the-ravens-hybrid A good read for those that might not quite understand what Rex is going to do and how a hybrid 3-4/4-3 works. Here's what it looks like:
  5. Let's be honest here, you've already made up your mind about Rex with your "The Bills took a step back..." thread, there was no way this PC was going to change your mind. What does being proven have to do with being a bully? Why do they have to prove themselves first, to be bullies? He's talking about not getting pushed around, not being the brunt of jokes. That's not theatrics, that's Rex establishing the identity of the team. This is what the Bills will be. Is it a bit in your face? Sure, but that's Rex Ryan, he's a confident guy. He's confident in his ablility and in himself.
  6. It was a good listen. He said even when they doubled Sammy, Woods burned us and Sammy still got his catches.
  7. And that's fair to question what those players uses will be. Rex strikes me as a fairly honest guy and during the PC he said he wasn't going to fit a "square peg in a round hole". Do you think he won't know how to use Hughes, Bradham, et al correctly? His ass is on the line if he comes in and significantly changes the scheme and doesn't get the results
  8. Well that's it I guess, no reason for Watkins or ODB to actually play out their careers. The Giants got the better player. Everyone pack it up. We can all go home.
  9. Check my sig... He let out another...
  10. 1) What color tie will Rex wear? b) Red, with blue and white stripes 2) What news reporter will Rex slam to the ground for asking a dumb ass question? a) Jerry 3) What type of drink will Rex have at the podium? d) Aquafina (other) Tiebreaker: The length of time our live feed will be !@#$ed up because the media assistant will be pulling cords and walking across the camera cables (re-visit the Mario live feed) a) <5 minutes Second tiebreaker: Number of times Doug Marrone walks through the backdrop and photobombs the presser wearing a beach hat, sunblock and a London Monarchs crop top jersey with flip flops?? 7, for each time he punted inside the Bills own 50.
  11. John Lund from KGMZ in San Fran on Roman as an OC: http://media.wgr550.com/a/100878936/114-john-lund-kgmz-in-sf.htm?pageid=28472
  12. I thought it was interesting how he said Kapernick was the brightest guy and it's taken him a while to learn the offense. Not sure if that bodes well for EJ or not.
  13. Good interview, not sure the guy is any sort of expert, but he has watched more games than most of us.
  14. They just had a guy on WGR, John Lund from San Fran radio. Now, I'm sure he isn't any expert but I thought what he said was very interesting. He said that Roman is very much an innovator but was limited by talent in San Fran. He does lots of different formations and sets. Said that the QB was really holding them back because Kap can't read the field and was missing open people. So he tailored the offense to be a run first.
  15. I knew I had seen that picture before.... what a horrible article ripping off the City of Industry stadium in LA. http://www.losangelesfootballstadium.com/gallery.html
  16. You harp on his previous record quite a bit. Bill Bellichick went 5-11 in his last season in Cleveland. John Fox 2-14 with Carolina and was hired the next year by Denver and went 8-8 with Tim freaking Tebow and took them to 2 games into the playoffs. Get over his record.
  17. Definitely agree with that. I think even if you look at this past season, Orton had 2 really dominant games. I think its possible Jay Cutler can get you more dominant games than Orton can. Last season, with a crap defense I'd say Cutler had 5 games were he played as the "good" Cutler. Maybe that amounts to 2-3 more wins for the Bills if the defense can play as well as it did last year. I think it's in the realm of possibility.
  18. He put 3 of the Jets OL in the Pro Bowl when he was on Rex's staff. Guys a very good OL coach.
  19. Callahan would be big, if hired. Has ties to Rex as well.
  20. Putting Seattle aside? They won the Super Bowl with that model. Not sure you can just put them aside if it in fact still works and can win a Super Bowl. They have everything except they pass the ball the least amount in the NFL and run the ball the most. It works.
  21. Well said. Also lost in all of this, Marrone was an offensive minded coach. Bringing him in didn't improve the offense.
  22. What if a football czar or Bill Pollian come in, after Marrone leaves and says Rex is the guy? Is it ok then? Or are they wrong?
  23. Right, so your argument is the Bills should have hired a HC who is offensive minded and had a successful record last season? Who's that coach? Point him out.
