  1. That's difficult to tell. They've all been mixed up so much over the past two seasons. Byrd has obviously been the weak link this year, but people are more prone to point to Donte being the problem despite improved play on his part. Our past two wins, Donte has deflected a pass that was intercepted (on a blitz), and had the big hit on Shipley that ended all hopes for a comeback. I'm interested to see how he plays the remaining games of the season considering he's been blitzing a lot more. Who knows, he might end up with a few sacks.
  2. You think that was "real promise?" If that was good, then why are you crapping on what him and Lee are doing now. Plus, TO got most of his numbers when Fitz was named starter. The Brandon Lloyd comparison is a bit off too. Also, I don't understand how you can say the new offense will be figured out sooner or later. Peyton Manning has been running the same scheme for a decade now, it still works. Offenses evolve and offer room for adjustments when a defense figures them out during the course of a game. One dimensional offenses are the one's you might be referring too. This is not one of those, as Gailey has proven over the course of the past month or so his commitment to all phases of the game.
  3. I'd go with Leodis, but either way, it's a good problem to have.
  4. Does that mean we will trade down to get him? Just curious, picking him anywhere from 2-7 would be way too high IMO.
  5. Boo this man!!! And your point is? That's what is supposed to happen when your #1 has rolled coverage his way all game. You have other guys step up!! No, he just gets open and creates YAC like Andre Reed used to. But hell, why would you want a guy that just gets open, when you can have a guy with all the measurable like Heyward-Beh.
  6. It actually makes sense. His benching has a lot to do with special teams I would suppose because Moats isn't doing anything special while he's out their either.
  7. Ha. It's so true. It's amazing that we have two real good players at one position and the first thing many fans think is which one to cut.
  8. Exactly. I know a lot of people will say we should cut Evans because he is overpaid. Yes, he is. But a major reason Stevie is killing it this year is because Lee Evans still attracts a lot of rolling coverage from other teams. Fitzy is the main reason Stevie/Roscoe had great years, but Lee Evans is equally important in some regard.
  9. Indeed it is. I saw the replay and it looked like he got it caught under another lineman while his leg was planted...again. I'm happy the early prognosis is positive.
  10. Agree on all your points. I love him, but Gus Johnson got a little too drawn into the trash talking between TO/Leodis. That TD was zone and Leodis let him cross into the middle in Byrd's territory. I'm not positive, but I think George Wilson was in a lot over Byrd in the second half. Thought Donte played well.
  11. AT YDS TD INT CMP% 112.4 2746 24 7 70.2 Plus a game left on the schedule and a bowl game. Conservative estimation would be 3200yds, 28Tds, not too shabby. Not Bradford-esque, but certainly dominating enough for me. He also doesn't get to sling it 50+ times a game either like Sam did, so it's a bit of an unfair comparison.
  12. Really? They seemed to respond to him pretty well against the Steelers last week.
  13. I thought I read somewhere he had a restraining order put on him? He hasn't done much this year either. Anyhow, I'd go with Da'Quan Bowers from Clemson.
  14. I thought it was good too. I believe Joe Mead is from Dunkirk/Fredonia area actually.
  15. He's actually a big dweeb. And it's awesome. I love the unconventional way about him, an aura that seems so right in Buffalo I suppose. Seeing stuff like this and knowing the Bills are at least one more year of drafting and FA away of sniffing the playoffs, makes it easier to swallow knowing he could be our starting QB for the next 1-2 years. I'm truly glad for his success. Couldn't happen to better guy it seems.
  16. Just remember, Locker is the only one who gets to go to the Senior Bowl and actually play with talent for the 1st time in his collegiate life.
  17. Yeah your right, he's only led his team to upset wins over Cal, USC and others the past couple of seasons with a serious talent deficit compared to those programs. Watch the final few drives against USC this year and check out how many passes his WRs drop. That line he's got too, real sweet... How can you say that Brohm and Levi are better than him?
  18. That is what was suggested below regarding the possibility of the FO saying "play or sit." "If the Bills draft him, he is playing Russian Roulette with his career if he doesn't come here...you don't sit out for a year and get drafted in the same spot the following year. Just not going to happen, he would be lucky to be drafted in the first round next year, and some teams would stay away because they would question his character..." as posted by Matter2003
  19. Eli Manning didn't sit out for an entire year as the poster was suggesting Luck might do. Big difference between forcing a trade and having a team unwilling to trade you and be forced to choose between sucking it up or sitting out.
  20. Agreed, I think they look freaking awesome.
  21. They bust each others balls a lot. Sapp probably deserves worse if I recall, he tweeted a few times he wanted to takeout Spiller's knees and hurt him. Just a couple of buddies yapping IMO.
  22. He didn't elaborate on this point at all. Just that his dad doesn't like the Bill's. The first thing I thought of was the Archie/Eli situation. It was more of Cowherd opining, you know, kick the small guy type thing that he has done more of lately. I believe he also brought up the cold weather thing and even went so far as to say the Redskins should lose out and draft Luck. I laughed at that. He ended by saying he thinks Harbaugh will take the Carolina job and woo Luck there.
  23. Does anybody know the back story regarding what Colin was saying. He basically broke it down giving reasons why Luck will not want to come to Buffalo. One of the major reasons was that Jim Harbaugh hates Jim Kelly because he broke his hand punching Kelly? Also said that Luck's father doesn't like the Bills organization. Nothing new here I suppose.
  24. I suppose so in some regards its true. I think scrappy might be a better word.
  25. I think this thread is very indicative of the Bill's game-day experience (expectations of) over the past 10 years. There is an apparent disconnect that exists between what certain groups of fans view it as, and what the FO views it as. The organization seems to think that fans come primarily to watch the product on the field, and view the tail-gaiting as secondary accessory to the game itself. In reality, and its somewhat sad, the game has become an afterthought of sorts to many people who come to get smashed. I still love the tailgait experience, and recognize its identity to this team, but there is a growing divide between this group as well. It's suddenly become cool to antagonize women and children in visitors uniforms to the point they feel concerned about their personal well being. I'm 25 and a lot of my fondest memories came from the "guy" who yells out "stuff it down their fu#!@ing throats" at the beginning of every Bills drive, but I don't remember so many dbags inhabiting the parking lots when I was 13. I might just be maturing, but I seriously doubt that. I just think there are a lot more dbags out there.
