  1. He tried to jar the ball loose. It wasn't going to happen, but it was better then just tackling him. As far as Fitz, he over threw Lee once, Stevie twice and under-threw him once as well. Not too much touch displayed but conditions did kinda suck.
  2. I hope Kris Jenkins doesn't make it this year, because then we'd all really know the pro-bowl is a name recognition contest...he has been pretty good doing spot duty on TV though. He'll have a second career somewhere on TV I'd bet.
  3. Ahhh, well played sir. I expected a generic Riesling reference.
  4. Yeah, if he hadn't lived in Germany for much of his childhood and Texas for his adolescent and football years... Add because elite level D-1 programs want their players subsisting on chardonnay and sushi. C'mon Senator, I know you hate "Andy," but...
  5. I agree. But Emeril was, and is, and good and respected cook. Guy is not, but he's crack to the millions that tune into his show(s). Bobby Flay is a solid chef, but even he's been phased out a bit too over the years. The channel used to have some real good stuff, but now is catered towards middle-America, which is fine--nothing wrong with that. I just miss the early days of it. Currently I prefer Bourdain on Travel Channel or Top Chef, the BEST cooking show on TV on Bravo.
  6. Fair enough points. I'll buy into the strong arm argument if over the remaining home games it is apparent Fitz is hamstrung by his lack of arm strength. But if the offense can continue to move the ball with moderate success and his arm isn't an issue, I might be prone to discount this a bit. Your right, pro-style can refer to a lot of things nowadays. I don't think he takes too many snaps from under center, does he?
  7. He is young, but Bradford was 22 until two days ago I believe I heard on the news. He's been "OK" so far. I wouldn't look too much into the age thing unless there were indications he was immature had an attitude problems or felt entitled. I know your a huge Mallet fan, so why in your opinion is he a better fit for the Bills strong arm aside?
  8. The point is he took a fragment of a quote out of context and reposted it, in the process, creating what appeared to be something entirely different than what S.Johnson had said.
  9. Wow. I did not know that juicy, albeit, depressing piece of Bill's history. My day sucks a little bit more now.
  10. Us 'new-schoolers' no know better too. God forbid he had an opportunity to "win a game on a play you complete." But he hasn't, he's only done what he could with the time/plays/passes that have been given to him. And he's not too bad. Also, that is freaking awesome that he hit Schopp back w/ a tweet that set the facts straight. I actually want to listen to the show so i can call in and ask him about it...but I won't. awesome. thank you very much!!
  11. Eeesh. Really? So we're two rookies on Def. and a "headcase" LT away from the playoffs. I wish you were right, but I don't see it happening this fast.
  12. I agree 100%. He's very Orakpo-ish. UNC doesn't have the horses to compete w/ the best of the ACC and other non-conference powers, but they were kept in a lot of games because their defense was always nasty. Top 20 at worst, and he'll probably rise when he "gets to tell his side of the story."
  13. What did they do so bad last night? It's easy to knock Millen's credibility, but on-air, he's decent IMO.
  14. This game scares the crap out of me, with or without Stafford. If there is such thing as a "must-win" for an 0-8 team, this has got to be it. Go 12th Man!! 34-20, could be Detroit or Buffalo.
  15. I make it to at least two games a year, and always pick at least one game to "enjoy" the elements. I just don't think a reasonable OC would ever call a play that requires our QB to throw it over 50yds into 32-63mph wind. Maybe get aggressive when the winds are at our back, but definitely not when were going into them.
  16. Mallet will get destroyed behind our line. Yes, it has improved somewhat from last year, yes I believe it will continue to do so. But Fitz has excelled thus far because he is willing to take shots and because he doesn't do a whole lot of seven step PA drops. He has proven to be very, very durable because in short, what does he have to lose. Also, why do we need a guy who can throw it 70yds into "gale force winds?"
  17. Is Sacramento St. really in the Pac-10?
  18. Yeah, your right on. I'm not advocating him being selected by the Bills early, though. Also, the sub-par 60% has to do w/ a lot of drops and little time in the pocket.
  19. You're mostly right. Saying a QB is gonna be a bust because Russell and Couch flunked out is a weak line of reasoning. For every Russell, there's an Elway. For every Couch, there's an Eli/Peyton. Mallet as a 1st rounder maybe, Luck certainly yes. Just my opinion, but I can't believe all the people who have been quick to throw Locker out the door, especially in favor of Mallet. The dude played on an absolutely horrible team and still registered his fair share of upsets throughout his career (USC twice, blew-out a 19th ranked Cal). He's played hurt this year, and while some of his games can't really be defended (Nebraska), he does the most with the least out of all the major QB prospects. I just wouldn't sleep on him if the Bill's were to trade out of the pick in the event Luck isn't available, or we win a few games and don't get a shot at the best DE, etc.
  20. Couldn't agree more. People always complain about where facts come from and now, a good, well researched post gets bashed. It must be another Monday after a Bill's loss...
  21. The world ends in 8 weeks, you have a Ferrari in the garage, but you continue to drive the Taurus because it picks up the blitz, I mean kids from school.
  22. Hypothetically your right. But John Fox is gone after this year and an organizational shake-up might be in order. If so, the incoming regime has no allegiance to Clausen and he might be a goner.
