Born and raised in Rochester. Family are Bills fans, but I was a little kid during the Niners run in the 80s, and come from a big Notre Dame family, so all eyes were on Joe. But I’d argue your tween/early teenage years are when your fandom really starts to take hold, and that lined up perfectly for me with the Super Bowl runs. Being a dumb teenager, I just assumed your team was always really good and going to Super Bowls. Like most dumb teenagers, I was wrong. Spent about a decade living in a few different parts of the country but settled back home in ROC again, happily raising a couple of little Bills fans.

Mine too. Two were arguing back and forth about the merits of firing coach but not firing the GM, the push/pull between consistency and turnover, major questions at QB, etc. I welcomed them both to the NFL hinterlands, a place Bills fans got to know quite well the last 20 years, and my hope for them is that they right the ship a lot quicker than we did.

I love these Niner throwback unis. I keep waiting for Ronnie Lott to come out and just start f'ing people up.

They did a nice job highlighting it a couple times on the broadcast, as well as his daughter singing the anthem. We skipped this game because we've all been under the weather in our house, and for once I'm glad I was watching a home game from my couch (other than the weather). I suspect if we had been there, we also would've missed Zo getting pulled and would've instead been asking WTF we just called a timeout. My only regret about Zo is that we didn't have him for a bigger chunk of his career.

I worked for Wegmans for seven years in my teens/twenties. One thing my time there taught me, and TBD backs it up: There are certain people in this world who make it their business to be miserable, all the time.
