  1. The US is an exceptional place. It's like a hot model with a few glaring moles. Don't take my complaints about certain aspects of this country to mean I don't love it. Every day I'm thankful I was born and raised here. That doesn't mean I think my home is perfect though.
  2. Indeed, we should have a single payer/universal system like the rest of the developed world. That got thrown out very quickly in negotiations, though.
  3. While I'm unsurprised, I think this is a dangerous ruling. This ruling basically says that religious views are more important than federally mandated regulations.
  4. We hated Trent because he was too tentative. We hated Fitzpatrick because he was too aggressive. We hate EJ because he's too too tentative. NEXT
  5. When there is recovery for a quarter, the left cheers. When there isn't recovery for a quarter, the right cheers. It's nice that half of the country is happy regardless of what happens (The above will be reversed if a Republican wins the next Presidency)
  6. This is why I'm checking into this place less and less. Freaking out about chemistry in JUNE. Awesome.
  7. I liked what he did for us last year. A solid FB, and also ran with some zest when given offensive opportunities. That being said... it's tough to use 5 spots on RBs.
  8. I think if a President is found to be doing things outside of the Constitution, they should be impeached.
  9. If he is, then we'll be cheering the team on in the playoffs
  10. Being better in all those categories wouldn't make us dominant in all those categories. In many situations just having most of those groups be "average" and a couple "good" would take us to the playoffs and possibly beyond.
  11. I think we are still a dumpster fire of question marks, personally. A better team than in years past, yes... but still way too many question marks to assume we'll have success. Questions at: QB - Obvious OL - Will our rookies and FA pick up improve last year's disaster? WR - A rookie, a FA who has questions, and two second year unprovens make up our core here... LB - We got a run stuffer in the middle, but will be help us in all aspects? DB - Lost our FS, will Williams slide over and replace him? Will Searcy (who I suspect will win SS) do a decent job? Special Teams - Last year a disaster, will they improve this year? Coaching - Will our 2nd year squad do any better? Will Schwartz coach a solid D? Every single group above needs to be significantly better than last year for us to make the playoffs... I'm hoping it happens, but I'm expecting another short season for us.
  12. Right now we're tied for a playoff spot, so yes... yes we are close
  13. As a Bills fan, I've found I have to stay humble and never defend my team when people talk **** haha. We just have no room to partake in friendly banter with 14 years of failure.
  14. It's kinda crazy that so many have made a final judgment on EJ after he's only played 10 games. I mean, I know he didn't light it up or anything, but I feel like he had a fair share of good and bad moments, combined with being a rookie playing for a rookie coach, that makes it difficult to judge so early... But, I guess if he's a bust already, we should have been looking for a new QB.....
  15. The last two years he's shot better than his career average, at > .50% He's always been a mid range stretch power forward, and with the James and Wade needing open lanes for their games, Bosh can't sit around inside nearly as much as you'd like.... which is why he developed a respectable three point shot. He now shoots it 3 times a game, vs less than one time a game in previous years. In fact... nearly 25% of his shots now are threes, and he still shoots above .50% total...
  16. 2-4 in the division. Either a sweep of the Dolphins, or a split with them and the Jets. Finish the season with between 5 and 7 wins, for third or fourth in the division. Pats will continue to kick our asses. The Jets are improved, possibly moreso than we are, and have a better coaching staff. The Dolphins are a mess.
  17. Bosh is quite good when he's not the third option. And as a third option, he's still pretty damned good. Not saying he's on the level of James, but still, don't discount him.
  18. If someone says no, yet sex is still forced upon them, then that's rape, even if it's mild and nonviolent. I don't understand how that's even a debate.
  19. Glad to hear she's ok. It's pretty awesome how far automobile safety has come. Hopefully the person who did this is brought to justice.
  20. I have to wonder if he's going to opt out, then re-sign with the Heat for less money so they could rebuild their team a bit more, to beat the Spurs. The Spurs have partially stayed so good for so long because their core unit makes much less in San Antonio than they could elsewhere.
  21. Re-read his statement. He said he's not worried about the money...
  22. If it goes well, I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple more states look into it, and if those go well... etc.
  23. I'm no doctor, but I think he looks great for someone who is actively fighting cancer.
  24. I'm very excited to see what happens in Vermont. I truly hope its a success. Cool story.
