  1. A. They haven't even started their second seasons yet... weren't their rookie years last year? B. The 3rd and 4th QBs in the draft, imo, were not seen as probable franchise QBs, especially considering where they were taken. EJ's showing in his rookie year was pretty decent relative to other rookies not named Luck/Griffin, and most reasonable people thought he showed enough to continue developing. I give you that he struggled a bit during the offseason, but again, the QBs available to us in the draft were just as much of a risk, if not more, than riding EJ given what we knew (and still know, imo). The Bills had a solid vet QB lined up (KO was sitting on the offer), and a guy they felt was every bit as good as QBs available to them in the draft. I don't see how this is a missed call other than if EJ doesn't work out, and one of the two mentioned do. How many mock drafts at the time had us taking a QB with our first pick last year?
  2. Yes. Keep in mind, I'm asking in terms of heading into last year's draft. Not hindsight. But feel free to use hindsight as well.
  3. Says the guy who used "rigmarole"
  4. Why do they have a high probability of success vs EJ or Tyrod?
  5. If Goodwin could stay healthy, I'd absolutely agree Goodwin > Hogan. BUT Taking injuries into consideration, and just how reliable Hogan has been so far... I take Hogan, because a guy that's injured, no matter how fast, doesn't help you on game day. That's just me though.. I really like Goodwin, he's got a great attitude, and what he showed when Stevie and Woods were out was very promising. My hope is that he stays healthy, we keep him, and he flourishes. It's just hard to make that prediction though, considering his time missed.
  6. Something I never really thought about... Fred blocks well and receives well, and we all know he's a good runner... he'd make a good HB as well.
  7. Someone will pay him top dollar, and the Seahawks will need to match, otherwise they're back to square one.
  8. Wow another QB? More proof that EJ sucks and the staff has zero confidence in him.
  9. Could just be that he's a rather middle of the pack QB. When surrounded by talent, he performs well, when not, he doesn't do that well. Hopefully we have enough talent and a good enough staff, that he does perform well, in case EJ/Tyrod don't work out.
  10. Ok, lets say which QB was available to us that has a high probability to be our franchise starter? Otherwise it's a guessing game, bringing in three solid vets, and drafting the best QB of his class (according to just about every scout), I feel like he's done what he's could considering his options. There haven't been too many Luck/Manning "sure things" during the last couple years at our place in the draft. I feel like we've gotten some of the better FA QBs available to us as well... there just haven't been great ones available. We lost on the Peyton sweepstakes, but were we ever in contention?
  11. Which QB do you think we should have been obtained, and are they a guarantee to be successful?
  12. Film on this guy seems sparse, this is the longest I could find on YouTube.
  13. You and I are on the same page... But uh... It's Brady, so burn the !@#$er.
  14. "Nothing to hide" is always the slippery slope that leads to total loss of rights and invasion of privacy. I can understand being uncomfortable with handing things over, I know I would be. But at the same time, given the terms we know of (getting to filter what the investigators see), it seems like if he were innocent, he'd cooperate with them to make it all go away faster.
  15. Unfortunately for Goodwin, Hogan has proven himself a more capable player so far. Goodwin has some major talent, he's damned fast, seems to run routes ok (when he was allowed to) and has solid hands... BUT he can't stay on the field. Hogan is a crisp route runner, durable as hell, and also has solid hands. It might come down to who can provide the most value for special teams considering we have three WRs on the roster that'd go ahead of either on the depth chart.
  16. So much for winning the offseason.
  17. We have a good FB, and potentially a couple stud TEs, along with a good RB corps. So you'd think we'd power run all day. But then you have Watkins, Woods, Harvin, Goodwin and Clay for passing, so maybe we'd run spread all day. At the very least we can basically do whatever formations we wish, in the end it'll be up to the QB though.
  18. What's wrong with eating crab legs? I'm confused.
  19. Would love to hear your analysis, Tom, or at the very least where Sharp (and 538?) have gone wrong.
  20. This was linked on a link someone else posted (and maybe already posted here anyways) http://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/blog/2015/the-wells-report-may-have-uncovered-the-tip-of-the-iceberg Another great read.
  21. Hell of a read, thanks for linking.
  22. +1 A little disappointing, but at least he's not in our division, just in case he's a stud.
