  1. Ugh, cartwheels aren't nearly as impressive. You've lost my interest.
  2. There can never be a tragedy without a shady government organization behind it. *rolls eyes*
  3. I want to clarify, I'm not making any grand predictions myself, all I hope for, for the sake of the team long term, is that one of the younger guys wins the competition handily, and that the book is not finished on EJ, or Tyrod for that matter. I just want to make sure I see the backflips if they happen
  4. I doubt it's gonna happen, myself. Brown or Freddy seem likely to be gone, imo. Dixon is a valuable special teams player, and Williams seems excited to do ST as well. BUT with Brown and FredEx left with one year on their contracts, and Williams being a "future" player, I could see the team keeping everyone on board if the "only" cost is special teams depth from another position, such as some WR or LB that doesn't see the playing field much other than on ST.
  5. How are we going to see your backflips if you're on a sabbatical? YouTube?
  6. I'm not defending Brady... to me it's irrelevant if other QBs do it... because Brady was caught.
  7. Ah the good ole EJ debate. Can the season start already?
  8. Yet he's the one who's caught. The whole argument of "everyone does it" doesn't get me out of speeding tickets...
  9. I enjoyed this read http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/fivethirtyeight-dissects-the-deflategate-report/
  10. McCoy's assertions are hamfisted and asinine, and I generally consider myself someone who is pretty socially left leaning. He really should just back away from it, before it becomes a distraction.
  11. There's a history of people only being slapped with fines for cheating in a non violent way... whereas NO's players were actively out to injure other players, which is in line with suspensions for illegal hits/fights on the field.
  12. Considering ESPN has this as a single line on their front page, I'm thinking a whole lot of nothing is gonna happen. Dareus will be suspended for 4 games for off the field stuff that didn't really impact anything... Brady will be given a bonus for cheating on the field. It's so ridiculous that it's almost guaranteed to happen.
  13. I'm really curious to see what a scheme change does for this offense this year. Roman's offense had 60% completion last year, 58.5% in 2013, 66.3% in 2012*, 61.4% in 2011*. (*Alex Smith years) Other than 2012, the results aren't great.
  14. I'm waiting to see a Boston journalist give an objective take. Then maybe I'll take the media response seriously.
  15. I could see them keeping 5, but at least 2 of the 3 that are active on game day need to be participating in special teams, otherwise they'll likely have more players elsewhere.
  16. I'd say the NFL would see a boost in ratings for the Brady-less Pats for one game, since they can really hardsell the drama/story. But after that? I have a feeling there would be lower ratings.
  17. If my employer is accusing me of something I didn't do and it might cost me my job? I might go with it... I wouldn't necessarily be happy, but I mean, I need a job. Tom, on the other hand, doesn't face the same consequences. At worst he's fined and loses his job, but is still sitting on millions, whereas, I am not. Good point(s) NS.
  18. I think Deflategate findings were released specifically because we're entering a bit of a slow period.
  19. The lie didn't impact the outcomes of games, though. The act very well might have.
  20. Most of the opinions on Patriots Planet are that this is BS, but one poster seemed to have his head on straight:
  21. I kind of want to sign up at a Patriots forum with the same question and options to see what the results would be.
