  1. Moses was traded to Denver for Dwight Harrison... Lou Saben for some reason thought Moses was a problem child because he refused to wear heavier pads and a 2 bar face mask... I was reminded of that situation a number of years later when Chuck Knox got rid of Bobby Chandler for showing up to a team meal a few minutes late, he compounded the problem by Entering the Out Door.. Pissed Chuck off..
  2. I really like Gabbert but the Bills have bigger needs.. I really can't justify taking this guy with the number 3 pick.. It's like drafting Spiller, I was floored by his college film but he wasn't a need and so far is a wasted pick! BTW Fitz with his quick release has made the O-line look a lot better than it is...
  3. This isn't the first time Rex put a foot in his mouth!
  4. I love football, but it's hard to get upset when millionaires are squabbling with millionaires.. The fans should have taken lock out insurance!!!
  5. When he is healthy, he usually has a couple big games a season.. And the Bills haven't had any big games out of that position in a long time.. If the price is right why not?
  6. This team needs so much and they can't afford to screw up another draft! I want the best run stuffer on the board and the best linebacker remaining on the board in the second round..
  7. Unbelievable, Typical welfare mentality, the first thing people what to do who don't have, is take away from the people that do.. The "No work ethic mentality" is now spreading to sports.. An organization has the best front office, they draft the best, they manage their salary cap, great coaching staff and put an excellent product on the field.. So now you want your team, who has a terrible front office, bad scouting system, drafts poorly and refuses to spend to the cap limit, to be allowed to compete by scarfing up a better organizations player? WORK ETHIC... Compete by hard work and hiring the proper personal...
  8. Blood opens up a huge issue.. Allowing sports teams to test players blood could turn into a nightmare of civil liberty issues... Where would it stop? What if all employers could test blood samples for all jobs? It gives people access to information from when you last drank a beer to genetic make up.. We all could be denied employment because of some condition others don't need to know we have..
  9. How many players of Coy Wires ability have passed through the revolving door at One Bills Drive? They come to Buffalo full of promise and a bit under size, stay around for 2 years and then released.. Suddenly they are snatched up by some other NFL team and become full time starters... I have a feeling this will be Maybin's fate, being a first round pick someone will take a flyer on him.. We will all be reading about him scratching our heads wondering why he couldn't do that here.. Seems to be the norm around Bills country.. Anyway, best of luck to Mr. Wire!
  10. On 9/28/1975 O.J Simpson rushed for 227 yards and 1 touchdown vs the Pittsburgh Steelers... I sat in my dorm room at Point Park College watching the game and enjoying hearing Myron Cope whine in his heavy western Pennsylvania accent... It was amazing the way "The Juice" slashed his way through the vaunted Steel Curtain... The previous year in the playoffs, the Bills were handled easily and the Steeler fans expected the same that day.. It was awesome listening to them make excuses and B word about their defending Super Bowl champs.. I have no first hand knowledge of steroid use by the Pittsburgh Steelers. However if your facts about steroid use are as distorted as your memory of OJ's exploits, you might want to do some research before you post again!
  11. I went to school in Pittsburgh 1975-1977, everything there was just a bit better than in Buffalo.. The museums, parks, art galleries, botanical gardens, all that stuff... But the football fans were idiots!! Always some guy drunk in a bar yelling "STILLERS!!!!" at the top of his lungs... I really liked those teams with Bradshaw and company, however when O.J. ran all over them I sat back and listened to the Pburgh fans whine and cry... Nothing changes they are still the same bunch.. I have many friends still in the area and they talk about the defensive backs and now the offensive line.. Amazing, Buffalo fans hailed their team like conquering hero's after losing Superbowels.. That won't happen in Pittsburgh, ever!!
  12. All this coulda, shoulda, if only the Bills had a GM that was qualified to be a GM..
  13. Not just last year, but the last 4 or 5 years the Packers have nailed the Draft!
  14. I keep thinking about all those wide outs that Detroit drafted while Mitt Millan was in charge... None of them did much to improve the team and some were wasted picks like "can't miss" Roy Williams.. Not to mention the Bills top wide out picks from the past.. I'll pass on a wide reciever in the first round and take a Big Body who can run stuff or can pass block!
