  1. Losman can be a mobile Ben--next year, just give him the same amount of time under center as Ben got.
  2. I smell Rothlis Burger. Brady = _______ ( x x ) ( ----- ) ====
  3. The Patriots won't win again in this century.
  4. Moorman--44 yard average Clements--Leader in tackles, plus a sack, a 16.4 punt return average McGee--38.3 kickoff return average, including the 87 yard TD return for a TD Drew--0 INT's McGahee--2nd 100 yard game in 2 starts.
  5. I'm shocked. I wouldn't've thought that Jacksonville would have the offensive firepower to stay up with the Colts. I woudn't've thought that Miami would have any heart left after we beat them. And I woudn't've figured that Drew Brees would move the ball in the 2nd half vs. Carolina.
  6. "The Bills tied the Ravens without Deion Sanders today. Unfortunately, Deion's points had to be added to the Ravens' score because Deion belongs to the Ravens."
  7. LOL! I missed that one; so it was "Nun of The Above?" I was 7/16. Guess I better spend more time studying.
  8. WHO'S is the contraction for Who Is. The word WHOSE is a possessive pronoun as in Whose Butts Are These?
  9. Travis will start. The plan is to run Travis against the vaunted Ravens' D, and when he has trouble running up the middle on Ray Lewis, we bring in WM, whose outside speed and strength would be an advantage against the... Wait a minute! Willis will start, and when he has pulled 9 into the box, we throw over the LB's to Evans and Moulds.
  10. Culpepper: 1766 yards after 5 games=5,651 yards after 16 games! (Old Math and a Calculator)
  11. Great points all. Cool to be talking football again, isn't it? I think the Dolphouts were a good defense to practice against for this week's game. We had to take Jason Taylor out of the game entirely, and will have to take Suggs out this week with the same chip block scheme. Our ST's are getting better by the week. McGee looks good. Moorman will finally make ProBowl this year. Stamer's a beast, and Kevin Thomas is learning as he goes. I too think it'll be a wash there. Drew gained confidence with that win, and his play has been better. I like the line play especially with Tucker and Price in there, and MW/Price handled one of the best DE's in the business last week.
  12. Miami's Defense IS ranked above Baltimore's overall. Miami is ahead of Baltimore in the following categories: Yards Allowed (257 to 292) Yards Per Play Allowed (4.3 to 4.4) 3rd Down % Allowed (28% to 35%) Yards Penalized (it isn't even close) Other stats aren't meaningful because Miami has played one more game.
  13. While I am NOT advocating trading London Fletcher, I don't think we reach the Super Bowl with him. His coverage on the Miami TD was atrocious. It worries me that one week he has to make 15 tackles, then the next week he makes 4. I'm concerned about his size. All that said, I admire his range and his courage. I hope Mario is super when Fletcher gets rolled upon by a DT.
  14. I'd bet Evans would win that one. I think we'll see a downfield pass to Evans in the first 2 series, and this time DB won't overthrow (less wind--I was impressed with DB's passing in that wind yesterday). Early TD to Evans would be huge, as Boller passing scares me less than their run game.
  15. I'd rather have Adams in there as the run stuffer and Edwards in there as the pass rusher. If Adams won't come off the field when the coaches tell him to, however, vote him off the island and put Lauvale Sape on the PS.
  16. Drew said in an interview this morning that they planner to take Jason Taylor out of the game with Price and "help" (usually a chip block). Occasionally, Taylor lined up vs. MW, and MW handled him well all by himself. I'll watch the tape to see if these were the times that Mark Campbell got his receptions. Having someone chip block to help Price out means that that person (TE or RB) isn't out quickly into a pass pattern. This will be more disastrous next weekend vs. the Ravens. Drew said he'd rather have the first stringers back in, but that Price did a great job.
  17. I admit I hit the MUTE button and tuned in on the radio. I got the homer voices with the TV feed--perfect. BTW, Van Pelt has become the best color man I have ever heard, with strategy, critiques after the play, and other insightful commentary.
  18. I'm a teacher, so the most important numbers to me are the indicators of improvement. ZERO interceptions by Drew is right up there, and ZERO tackles by Jason Taylor (even when blocked by our OL backup Price). I didn't know about the possession time in the fourth--that's pretty impressive, too.
  19. We could do worse than Edwards-Williams as our DT's. Edwards was second in tackles to McGee (anybody think our leading tacklers in a game would be McGee-Edwards-Prioleau?). Personally, I think anyone who defies the coaches should sit longer than Adams actually did, and might be trade bait as well. We'll see.
  20. Of the 43 tackles made by the Fins, only 7 (18%) were made by the D-line. This is a good indication that our O-Line was not only occupying, but tying up the D-line. In contrast we had 15 tackles by our D-line out of 38 (40%). Hopefully we see the same stat next week, because we'll need it to win.
  21. One of the Fox Pregame Announcers wondered if the Bills-Fins would have more punts than points. They had a good laugh over it. Here you go, Fox: Bills 3 punts. BTW, Moorman had a 53 yard average on those. Fins, 5 punts. Turk's 37 yard average included one for 67 with the wind. Did we score more than 8 points? Huh? Did we, punks? Hah?
  22. David Pruce, OT - Buffalo Ht: 6-7 Wt: 305 40-time: 5.25 STRENGTHS: Big, durable offensive lineman who moves well for his size…intelligent player who understands assignments and works hard…durable player who started the final 36 games of his collegiate career…versatile athlete, who played both tackle and guard at the collegiate level. WEAKNESSES: Probably needs to bulk up in order to have an impact on the professional level…played on a hapless college team, giving rise to doubts about his effectiveness…needs to work on strength in order to handle NFL defensive linemen…pass blocking needs some work. NOTABLE: Team averaged 322.5 yards per game during his senior season…member of 2000 Verizon District I Academic All-America Team…member of the 1998 GTE District I Academic All-America team…played on team that finished 2-9 in his senior season, improved from 0-11 during his junior year.
