  1. Thanks, Guesteroo. 1. A Difference-Maker TE. Blocks and catches the football. Can dominate the game. Can find the seams. Fearless over the middle. 2. A Dominant DE and DT. Although Kelsay played well yesterday, it makes sense to continue our quest for the best defensive line in football especially with the contracts of Schobel and Williams coming up. 3. A Quick-Footed, Road-Grader Tackle. While I'd be happier getting this one through FA, it doesn't hurt to grow one's own. 4. Another Cornerback. We seem to do well drafting competitive corners. Might as well have the eventual replacement for Clements (although it very well could be McGee, in which case we also need a KR) 5. A long-range Kicker. This could be Lindell's eventual replacement or some motivation in training camp. 6. A Fleet, Hard-Hitting LB who's great on Special Teams. 7. One more injured RB with great prospects!!!! 8. Quality Depth at Safety. Would love to see Milloy's Hitting with Troy Vincent's Ability to be at the right place at the right time!
  2. I will be making my annual Draft Bowl list of players to look for in each bowl game, based on the following list of needs: 1. 3. Any other requests? Any particular priority order?
  3. Yeah; bring on the guy with a brace and crutches!
  4. Oh God; I have just watered the tile neneath my chair...
  5. I'd also like to see another WR in camp. I'd try to find a midrounder with some size for work over the middle. I haven't given up on Reed and Aiken; just like to see some beef. They're using Aiken for downfield blocking right now; how about getting the best downfield blocking WR in the draft?
  6. I think Willis has them all beaten. He's at his best (I think) bouncing outside and into the flat, giving the OLB the stiff-arm in the helmet and heading for the sidelines.
  7. Peterson won't win this year. A freshman won't win if there are competitive candidates who have done their time. I'd say Bush or Leinart.
  8. I wouldn't be upset if this particular Bush won. I saw him in 2 games, and he was a difference-maker. I think Peterson being a freshman is going to hurt him, and the 2 QB's will split votes.
  9. I take in the fact that most of the recent Super Bowl winners have come from wild card position. I think it is part of TD's strategy to be in the wild card race. Philly is obviously billsfanone.
  10. The way they always slice off into the rough.
  11. I'd be very surprised if the Dolphins keep the #2 pick. I'd expect anyone with an early pick and salary cap issues to trade down. Their new QB won't be their #2 pick, IMHO. We'll see.
  12. As your faithful Draft Droid, I summarize your needs as: --A difference maker TE --A dominant DE (Would you make John Abraham your #1 need in FA?) --Yet another Tackle --The Best Kicker Available in the 30-55 yard range --CB to eventually replace Clements --Backup Running back --Possible LB Is that it? I must know soon, as the bowl schedule requires that I prepare the annual "Who To Watch in Which Bowl When" chart... Astro

  14. I see Cincy folding and Jacksonville folding. We were just persistent today: Bledsoe 4-0 TD's to INT's. Evans 110 yards. McGee Longest Kickoff TD on record. Spikes, Williams, McGee, Baker and Clements with INT's Moorman 63 yard punt. 4 different players with 5 tackles. Kickoff Return Yardage: 173 INT Return Yardage: 110. It's going to happen folks.

  16. We need a tie at halftime at least. We can't let the Dolphins get encouraged...
  17. Bounce outs oughta work by MacGahee... Bledsoe still holding it too long. 8 penalties. Yecch.
  18. I really considered a big ol' O-Lineman when I picked Peppers: and one of those would be my 2nd choice after Peppers. HOWEVER, NONE of the three are on a top 5 offense in time of possession! Those teams are Indy, KC, Green Bay, Minnesota and Denver. Pace is on the #6 team, and he's the only one in the top 8. I think line chemistry needs time to develop, and Mouse McNally is getting it done despite Mike Williams' late start, and the minor injuries so far. And just think--Peppers would even be better on the Bills b/c of Williams-Adams in the middle!! What one guy are you going to double cover? Plus, you'd have Schobel-Kelsay-Denney-Peppers giving each other a breather (I can't bring myself to say giving each other a blow). If you take 6 guys (TE or RB or both) to cover our 4 DL's who's going out in a pattern?
  19. If you can get a 3rd rounder for an injured Henry, you're a master at baiting.
  20. Peters claims he DID report on that play where the Bills were penalized. Perhaps the referee forgot, and the NFL will be apologizing for the referee's short term memory disorder, or Peters' Wonderlic is as low as claimed. Nonetheless, Peters has the perfect position for him, as the Tackle-Eligible inside the red zone. He is quick and has decent hands to catch a pass a la Ben Coates, but he can stay in and block, too. An opponent needs to take Peters into account when defending against the Bills--a LB or Safety isn't going to be able to take him on if he's blocking, so a lineman needs to be occupied with him if he stays in to block. That takes one lineman away from Jennings or Williams, and McG slips right in there.
  21. I'll take Julius Peppers at DE. I was going to take John Abraham, but I figure we'll get him in FA. My other thought was Kenechi Udeze or Ed Reed. I'm picking younger guys so I have that position locked up longer.
  22. I got Astrobot from Astrobot Academy, my venture into the educational software business. A friend of mine and I produced a fun math facts drill program called MathBOTs. Still is available, is the only program that learns your weaknesses, and actually runs on my XP. Oh, and it's now in public domain. Doesn't use the mouse--all keyboard. If you have kids Grades K-4, it's extremely effective. MathBOTs
  23. Scoring? Philly, yes, they're #1 with 293. Minnesota is #2 with 291. Green Bay has #3 at 256. We just blasted the old #3 out of the Puget Sound yesterday. They now have 239, slipping down to #4.
