  1. Quinn's been a colossal failure so far, not sure what promise you see in Quinn when he barely sees the field. CJ Ah You gets more snaps than Quinn. Green was a sure fire stud, but the entire fanbase would've revolted, you probably would've been in that group. How could anyone want Quinn over Von Miller, look at the body of work. Dareus is hitting a wall, but he's been good, he won't be a sack master, that's not his forte.
  2. Yeah, but Dom Capers is one of a kind. Can you name anyone that's even close to him, you'll probably have to settle for one of his assistants. I'll be fine with Mangini to be honest, but I doubt they do it.
  3. Every fan wanted Dareus. It only took 11 weeks but I'm sure everyone will be writing him off as just another bust by week 17. Pathetic fanbase, hope the team moves.
  4. I thought he was a golfer, thanks for the reminder! All kidding aside, I thought Searcy had a very good game for a rookie in his first start. Also thought Troup played well at PoA.
  5. Smith can be cut and we won't take much of a hit, good luck getting rid of those ****ty hockey contracts. Hockey > football when it comes to contract, you always have proper recourse in football, just cut him and take a small hit, don't have to pay out the entire thing.
  6. I'm also not seeing much speed out of him, doesn't look as fast as Bush or Sproles for that matter. Don't mean to keep piling on, it's just frustrating at this point.
  7. A pass rusher would've made a lot of sense, but we also need a WR with TO/Reed being on the outs. Instead we go with the RB. Wasn't upset when they made the selection but this team has needs and they ignored them with that selection.
  8. Agree, he thought that was an easy TD and loafed. This isn't the ACC fool.
  9. Von's great, he's only going to get better, dude is Derrick Thomas reborn. He got swallowed up in the run game a few times, but Denver flipped him to the backside of the formation and he did a great job chasing down the run from behind. Just keep him clean and he's all over the place, that last bullrush on Hunter was awesome, Hunter isn't very good but he was leveled.
  10. Pretty sure Urban Meyer hired him as DC when he was still at Florida, Edwards took the job for about a month and then left for the Bills job. That's the only notable job he's had and it didn't even last a month, his choosing of course.
  11. I really like what I've seen from Heard, hope he gets more playing time. Should be Heard/Dareus with Edwards and Carrington rotating in.
  12. Maybin still sucks, but if you run him out there he's bound to do something every once in a while. If you look at his sacks they're either in garbage time, against a poor LT like McKinney, or the back missed the block (Matthews). He's terrible, and shouldn't even be mentioned with Poz. Guy was a solid player who couldn't stay on the field because of his health. Can't blame him for leaving 3-4 wasn't fit for him.
  13. Good post. At the least we have to give him that opportunity, 15+ touches, before passing judgement. Still he had a great over the shoulder bomb catch in college, just saying. He can do it all. What about that deep vertical pass he caught on a DB's head last year against the Pats. Everyone seems to forget about that play but it went for 40+ yards, he was lined up outside and made a great catch. Kid has talent, just isn't used. I really believe that Chan has no faith in CJ's ability to pass protect, Freddie's great at it. Chan's worried he'll blow a blitz pickup, and cost us a turnover. Have to pass protect, especially in this 4 wide sets. Edit: As the weather gets worse, this 4 and 5 wides will inevitably play a smaller roll. If Fitz can't throw/execute that seam pass to Jones in a dome, or the two fades against the Giants, what hope does he have when the weather turns bad? I'm hoping we start to pound the run more, though I'm betting a lot of the gains are a direct result of the 3-4 wide threat. Interested in seeing how this plays out.
  14. I agree, it's definitely not a first, Fitz did it repeatedly on 3rd and short during the Bengals game. Not sure if it's strategy or poor decision making. We can only speculate at this point, shame the reporters ask the same dumb questions week after week and don't bring this stuff up.
  15. Everyone else was covered if you look at the replay, Simms said as much during the broadcast. Jones was the closest one to being open.
  16. Where can I buy these? Pretty cool shirts.
  17. ProFootballWeekly is trash, an absolute rag. JPP isn't good, just lucky!
  18. Gailey's a class act and good coach to boot. Wasn't thrilled when he came on board, but I have so much respect for him now. Love him.
  19. Maybin's a scrub, what is that two sacks on the season? Good for him, must feel good to get work in garbage time.
  20. Defense is awful, right near the bottom or at the bottom in all the critical categories except turnovers. We've lost two games by a total of 6 points.
  21. It's you. As for Chan letting Fitz throw it deep, he did, plenty of times. Fitz was sacked twice looking to go downfield, and threw 2 picks on deep balls. Keep reaching though. Throwing it deep to Chandler....LOL. As if he has the speed to separate from defenders, Nelson runs the TE vertical routes in spread sets. There's a reason he's only good in the redzone. All the short passes, 3-5 step drops are due to the OT situation as well. If you want to see what this offense is capable of in a 7 step game, well, you'll be ripping your eyes out by half. Pears is a turnstile, and we had a rookie 4th rounder playing LT. The slants Steve runs set up his deep game, just look at the back shoulder throw TD he caught after faking the slant and bending it back to the outside, he destroyed Webster because of the slant. I'm not sure what some of you watch.
  22. Maybe he wasn't that good to begin with? Looked like a world beater when no one knew a thing about him, now he's a known commodity and simply isn't good enough.
  23. Fine with it, he went for the kill. Steve was open, just wasn't executed by Fitz. Go look at what happened to the Cowboys today when they got conservative. Trying not to lose usually results in you losing.
