  1. I think & hope that the worry over the O line is just worrisome fan reaction to the losses that have happened this off season . The over all experience of those that have either been here like Groy & Miller or those that have been picked up like Bodine from other teams as possible replacements for the likes of Ritchie & E. Woods seem to me to be ample replacements for those 2 !! Especially with Groy filling in admirably for Woods when he was hurt & being bigger than Woods . I think the weakest link in the O line is the O line coach Castillo !! Sure he may be a good guy but was given a late spot on a SB winning team (i believe the Ravens) & really hasn't done much to prove his greatness as a O line coach . I believe that our previous O line coach that went to the Rams A. Kromer is 10 times the coach & think his blocking schemes to be much more to the strengths of the players on the roster then & now ... As far as players though i think the talent for this line to be really good is there as long as the coaching & scheme can match with the talent available !! Oh & the fact that they need to find a knew RT to replace Mills !!
  2. I always liked Whaley i think his short coming was trying to please every one around him & not having a firm vision himself on what he wanted for the team like Bean does . The draft he did with Mcdermott landed some good players & they made some good moves . Whaley's history in the draft proved that he wasn't scared to do what he needed to do to get the player he wanted which i admired to a certain extent . He was a wheeler dealer !! I think the huge down fall for the team was hiring Rex after Whaley setting the team up to be a 4/3 D then bringing in Rex & company then trying to pigeon hole the players that were brought in prior to fit a 4/3 then drafting Lawson a 4/3 player in college to fit a 3/4 just proved Ryans ineptness as a HC !! And Whaley allowed some of it to go on weather it be from pressure or stupidity from Brandon & higher ups . He should do well at this gig he is a good scout so i think the job will fit him well !!
  3. Boy i wonder what those here that wanted the Bills to bring him here think now that he has this hovering over him ?? With his actions prior to the trade i didn't think he was a Mc Bean guy !!
  4. After what Chris Brown said that upon his first introduction to T.O. that he wouldn't look at him & had the wet fish hand shake & then him saying he is dissing the HOF & the NFL by not showing up at the induction ceremony i would say a huge no let him go to Mcdonalds & apply for a job !! Plus when these guys go into the hall a team that they played for usually step up to pay for their after party & none of the teams he played for have offered to this point so what does that tell you ?
  5. Never liked this guy when he came into the NFL he thought he was a ll that & a bag of chips because of his daddies legacy & apparently thought he could skate in the NFL !! If he could have sold his ego he would have been a gazzilionaire but he has proven he didn't have what it took ... I wonder just what his dad thinks ??
  6. He better be for that kind of cash ? Dam !!
  7. I believe the Bills aren't in as bad of a place as every one (or at least the "Football Experts") think when it comes to the O line ! Sure E Wood & Ritchie are definitely a loss but Groy did a great job when Wood went down a couple yrs back & John Miller seems to be back to being motivated plus who they picked up in the draft & after i think we could actually be a bit better . Especially if they put W.Teller at RT & get rid of Mills or use him as a depth player & maybe the undrafted guy from Denmark can take Vlads place at LG . And then there is Bodine too ... I think by the time the season roles around they will have it figured out ...
  8. It's the most boringest time of the year !! As far as sports is concerned, with the NBA & the NHL finals now over & i guess you could pay attention to MLB but yah that's boring too !! I guess you could watch Soccer where they run around for hours & score 1 goal that's exciting well at least ESPN thinks so . I guess by default it's Nascar & golf at least we can here a familiar football voice Jim Nance while watching golf & imagine him & Tony in the booth on sundays ... I think i'll go take a nap
  9. To put in my 2 cents on my own post i think if Rex would have been a true HC & fixed the things that were wrong with the team & leave the things alone that were good with the team he would have been better for him & all concerned ! He left Crossman in charge of the ST unit Good Move they were very good the year before & if he would have left Schwartz do his thing with no meddling & just been the HC (which with his ego would never had happened) the D would have been fine ! If it ain't broke don't fix it !! Then alls he needed to do was put Roman in charge of the offense & let the people he hired do what they do . Then been the HC like he was to get rid of Roman & put Lynn in charge i think the team would have been in the play offs sooner . But if that di happen we wouldn't be where the team is now which is much better off !! That is why i like Mcdermot so much he is humble & he has put in place people that he allows to do their job & trusts them to do it to his standard & if not like Dennison your gone then finds some one else to work with the strengths of the players they have while through the draft adding players to better what is already there . Rex just threw every thing out of kilter kind of like try to paddle up stream while white water rafting pretty much impossible, but i am stoked to see where the Bills are headed with this staff !!
  10. I heard of both players & when all the talk that the Bills would move up to #2 to get Allen i was hoping if they did move that high that they would get Smith or Edmunds but i believe with what happened in the draft it worked out much better for the team !! Edmunds is going to be a beast in the Bills D for a long time !! GO BILLS !!
  11. Yep after this season they will be offering a chunk to keep Benjamin around that is where it will start for sure then who knows where they go from there ! Maybe they will get Dawkins a extension before he demands a ton of cash !!
  12. I know the Bills are in a good place now with the Mc Bean era firmly in place, the play off drought is over & i see good things in the future under this new regime but while reading today on Rumblings i saw a What If post about the coaching staff prior to this one that the Pegula's have now . The post was about how after Marrone stiffed the Bills & the Bills had this kick butt D in place the coach of the unit was Jim Schwartz which had head coaching experience & has now put a Super Bowl ring on his finger . I for one was hoping they would keep him for the continuity part of him staying & through reading that article was wondering what you all thought about that ? I know the past is the past & i am glad in the direction that the Bills are taking but do you think if the Pegula's would have put Schwartz in the HC ing position it would have been better or worse than Rex ?
  13. I've read articles that suggest a theory that it could be because to stay in Canton during the HOF proceedings with the hotel cost & bringing in family, friends & food that the it is quite costly & because TO has squandered basically most of the money he had made while in the NFL he can't afford to go !! That just blows my mind that a guy that made that much cash can be broke if that is true ...
  14. Bledsoe had some huge passing games for the Bills i think he still holds some records of some sort for the club ??
  15. I hope he along with Streater, Proehl, Foster all make the 53 i think all of those guys have the underdog mentality & would be a really good WR corp ! As long as Jones gets his S**T together & lives up to his status, KB will do his thing i think it should be good !!
  16. Every one of the "experts" say the RB position especially the FB position is a dying breed in the NFL i don't see it the eagles had Lagarette Blount & the Pats had him too when they won the SB . He was more than a blocking back for sure ! So if the Bills could have a guy like Olstad to do some of what Blount does for teams in the back field plus be a better blocker than Dimarco for less money i'm all in !!
  17. Cudo's to Mahomes for being a team guy rather than a "all about me" player the NFL needs more like that at least he is willing to prove him self to be that guy first !!
  18. Cancer Sucks !! Get well Mr Gettleman !! Gods speed ...
  19. If there is a team that would give him another chance i think the Raiders would be a good fit Chucky would be able to deal with him ...
  20. WOW some one that actually got the point from reading what was posted ... 1 out of 6o something that ain't bad ? Thank you KJ !!!
  21. No i don't think they are just pieces of meat i know they are guys trying to earn a good living & work hard for it & in those contracts there should be conditions such as injury that while on the job just like any other job that they should be compensated for if that should happen, all's i was saying is for those that get the big contract & then just give up on what got them there . As long as a artist stays relevant weather it be music, poetry, painting & work to stay at the top they make their big pay if they write one good song & stop they don't continue to make that big pay they have to continue to work to stay on top & some of these players don't after they sign the big one that's all i am saying .
  22. I was hoping he would stick with the Bills when they drafted him, that was when Pettine was here i think ??
  23. I hope he does i was rooting for him last year when he had the injury & had to be put on IR . Go Hot Rod !
  24. Muhammad Wilkerson, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Marcel Dareus, Mario Williams, the list goes on there are a ton of players that have gotten huge contracts & then seem to be content with just showing up & going through the motions then there are those that luck into the big contract like Fitz & then go back to being their old self & can't deliver, get cut & go on to collect 2 pay checks simultaneously, or remember Albert Haynesworth that dude just fell off the NFL planet & still got paid !! Haven't these owners learned ? Why isn't there any clauses in these huge contracts that specify that the player has to reach certain goals or incentives before hitting a certain pay & if they don't then they don't get the big money that way the team is more so insured that they will get something in return rather than the scenario that happens in a lot of these big contract signings that don't pan out ! The player works their butt off to be the best they can be then they get the big contract (now with huge guarantees) & then they get complacent or the team (like the Fitz deal) jumps way to fast & think they have their guy of the future give them the big pay day & then the player just isn't the guy they thought he was going to be & get hung for all that cash then wind up paying out the contract when the dude is playing for another team ? In the world as we know it if you don't do your job up to the expectations put in place then you get let go & you don't still collect a pay check ! If you work for a company & do a great job for that company you get raises and are expected to continue to do that job at the high level that you have set for that position which is the reason you earned the pay raise & if you don't continue that level of performance like in most jobs or in the military you get knocked down in rank or reprimanded with a loss of compensation in some way ! I get it in cases like Eric Woods situation, you play for a long time for a team sign a contract & while doing that job "Because of the job" you find out you have a medical condition that causes you to not be able to do that job then the team or company should have to pay out the contract . Especially in a sports based contract if that player has set a high standard for their play & get paid as such they should have to live up to or at least be that above average contributor to continue to make that huge pay or have incentives built into their contracts to continue to have them over achieve to make the big money in that contract so they don't just show up like some have done & collect a paycheck !! Or heck not even be there at all & collect 2 pay checks SIGN ME UP FOR THAT ONE !! ? I'm sure this has been talked about in the past so sorry if i bore you with this but i read a article this morning that prompted these thoughts !! GO BILLS !!
