Bodine is durable, maybe that's because he spends so much time getting pushed around. He's not depth, he's in the mix to start, which would be a downgrade on the OL. If Shady is out, we are in a world of crap on offense, Hell, we may be already. I really feel McBeane made a major miscalculation on offense.

Should we look at Eddie Lacy

I'd say yes but Joey Chestnut already won the hot dog eating contest. -
This front office chose not to make any significant investments in the offense, this year. And I think we'll pay the price for it now. They focused entirely on defense except for moving up for a quarterback, who if works out - a big if, won't play for a while. Yes Wood, Incognito and possibly Shady were things they didn't expect, but that's what a good front office plans for - the unexpected. So this is the offense that the FO decided was suitable and we're just going to have to live with it. There's still time to make a few tweaks, but I'm not optimistic.

He's feeling the heat to raise that completion percentage to 57%. -

OP, if I were you I would take responsibility for the offending post, but not the blame. It's just how things work today. -
Nice try being dismissive. What about everything else I said? His completion percentage and quarterback rating were remarkably similar from the USFL into the NFL, and both of those - just counting his NFL rating, better than either Tarkenton or Marino's. Take the first year or two of any quarterback and I'll easily take Kelly's USFL experience. If you seriously put a ton of distance between Marino, Tarkenton and Kelly then I seriously question your football acumen when it comes to QBs - or at least I disagree with it.
-
Nonsense. If you count Kelly's two years in the USFL the passing yardage difference shrinks, particular with Tarkenton. Marino threw for a lot more yards but had a lower completion percentage, as did Tark. Both had lower a QB rating than Jimbo. And for all his yards passing, Marino took the Dolphins nowhere except for one year. You have to go by stats, impact and effectiveness. Those are three great quarterbacks but there shouldn't be a huge amount of distance between them.

Once Bodine gets pushed all over the place in pre season, Groy will be a lock. -
The fallacy of Allen being the bigger "risk" than Rosen

I never have been one to rationalize something after the fact. If the OP needs to do that to bolster himself that's fine. I remain disappointed and hope for the best. Actually I hope my gut on Allen is epically wrong and I will gladly eat a plate of crow. Still, I don't need to create a scenario or disparage the guy we didn't pick to make me feel better. Let's just hope Allen is the elusive franchise QB we all want. -
And I was just going to get a jersy that had "Louder" on the back...gotta rethink that.
