Damn, I was hoping for a real 1 Technique DT.

I'm done defending Star. Swallow our pride and that whopper salary and move on. The guy is as effective as putting a parking cone out there.

RB is the last thing we need. A big DT, new RT, receiver, edge, now we're talking.

No reason we can't blitz more to create pressure ala the Pats. Stopping the run up the gut is going to be the bigger issue. DT and MLB issues need to be resolved.

Maybe if he'd not drop passes ay key times he'd get more targets.

Will we showed today that we can't hang with the good teams. This team has some serious flaws. As soft middle on defense little pass rush, and and offense that can't get out of its own way, can't stop committing stupid penalties and can't stop turning the ball over.

At least one big one and the ML to hit the right gap.

Our middle D was horrible again. Star is a waste. Our rookie DT is undersized however with a quality space eater next to him he could do a lot of damage penetrating. We don't seem to have a quality space eater. Tremain's reverted to his old ways and was guessing wrong a lot of the time. That coupled with a lack of a pass rush left our 3rd down defense exposed. This team is a lot of work to do because the blueprint on how to beat us is pretty well laid bare. We cannot rely on our offense to do much.

I said it before in the pregame thread. If we can't stop the run up the middle and we can't get off the field on third down we're going to get spanked. Bingo, that's exactly what happened. That drive against the wind in the fourth quarter was an absolute embarrassment. The truth is this team needs work and more parts. Our interior D is pathetic. Our red zone and 3rd down defense is getting to be horrible. And our offense, well we go the way Josh goes and he's been turning the ball over and missing throws. That and the O-line can't seem to line up without getting a penalty. It'll be interesting to see how they rebound from this mess.

This. And if it's your year to make a run by all means make a good trade and use some draft capital. If your still building and playing the long game, don't make a trade to show activity, stick the the program and that's what Beane is doing.

If the middle of our D gives up the kind of chunks of yards we did against Miami it's going to be a long afternoon. And if they can't get off the field on 3rd downs like last week, we lose. I'm hoping last week was an over confidence thing and that they're ready to play some desperate ball today because the Eagles will be.

I dunno H2O, the more I read about this the more bogus it sounds. Even if he doesn't want to play for a loser or get moved to G, he's under contract. Not playing because he's not happy but still getting paid is odius.
