  1. That's not the point. I have to back up crayonz here. The idiots were going to the combine, knew they would be tested and knew how huge the combine is in the draft process. They don't have the discipline to lay off weed for a few frickin' weeks with so much of their futures at stake? That shows me they are losers with little self discipline.
  2. Ever hear of Never Give Up????? (BTW, it's lying, not lieing......your name is well chosen)
  3. When NGU speaks, it pays to listen. When we get to pick, Miller and Green wil be the BPA and difference makers. I'm hoping it's Miller. My fear of his "Maybin" like size have been somewhat allayed by watching tape and his broader work history. He's about Clay Matthews' size and if he has half the impact of Matthews, we got a great player in a position of true need. We can pick up some DL stuffers in the next few rounds. It's a deep draft. Thanks NGU!!!
  4. For me, the Rogue Scout piece at the very least made me take another look at Locker and sort of solidified my sneaking suspicion that Gabbert is another Trent Edwards type of check down passer. Could be wrong, maybe he's a perfect West Coast offense guy but 16 TD passes in a passing offense gives me pause. Just maybe the rumors of Buddy trying to get back into the first round is to take a shot at Locker after picking D at 3.
  5. Ditto. Not us, not now.
  6. I was looking for NGU yesterday. It's go time!
  7. +1 This is the real world baby.
  8. Not too many posts from you but this is a goody! +1
  9. He makes Gabbert sound like the next Trent Edwards, that's enough to scare me. I hope Buddy has some rogue in him. Maybe this trade back into the first round talk has some fiber to it. Could be Buddy wants Locker or Colin Kaepernick. Now, I'll have to watch Jurrell Casey as well.
  10. Then you would have been saying the same thing about BJ Ragi in his first year at Green Bay. He did squat. His second year he picked it up and towards year's end was a force on a SuperBowl team. Thank God you're not pulling the trigger on assessing talent. Troup is going to be a lot better this year and so will Carrington. Not many rooks light it up in year one. Even Bruce Smith wasn't that impressive year one. After he shed some pounds and got better conditioning he was all-world. Suppose you would have used the "bust" label on him year one? More genius. Guess they should have cut Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, BJ Ragi, and almost all Pittsburgh linebackers. Christ, get real.
  11. May as well end the thread with this post. It won't get any better!
  12. I too had the complete opposite reaction. He really got my attention while at the chalkboard. He's football smart and clearly loves the game.
  13. I love Gruden's style. He's at his best in this setting and I'd like to see more of it. The break down with Mallet was great and an eye opener. The kid just came to life when breaking down the play on the white board. All of the segments have been great.
  14. The fish FO should just watch Gruden's show and they would learn more about QB's in the draft then the half-assed series of hoops they are making possible picks jump through.
  15. Gotta love Fitz. That, friends is how to lead a team and have your guys run through broken glass barefoot for you. As for Stuffins, outstanding translation. I'm mid 50's and get most of the lingo, but man, that had me scratching my head, thinning hair and all......
  16. No he can't. We tried that already and he's a disaster in coverage. Moats is a pass rusher and he needs to play ROLB.
  17. Such a fuss from the OP. Calm down Beavis! All you say is true except there isn't a franchise QB to pick from. Why p*ss away our #3 on a reach. Let's get some freaking talent.
  18. I have to agree. It as a good discussiona and accurate to where we are now. Dilfer was actually taking a dig at himself, and he's right. We'll need a killer defense to win a title just like he needed. As fans, we have to understand that not every national mention of us is wrong. I'm no media lover but in all fairness, there is a truth to what they are saying and I would rather be having them talk about us than ingoring us. I also saw a healthy respect for Chan Gailey from those guys.
  19. Yup. Draft D and let's start improving against the run and get after the passer like good teams do. I'd roll the dice on a QB at #3 if I really thought they were the real deal. These guys are great athletes, but so was Rob Johnson, Vince Young, yadda yadda.
  20. He's a great QB and a HOF'er. I still like to see him get beat up on field because he's just like Marino...a cry baby. Rough him up a little and he pouts. He's on top of the world now and he's just having a little tantrum because he can't rewrite history about his draft position. He wanted the Peyton Manning draft experience and didn't get it and is still pouting. I'd like him better if he wasn't a taunting pr*ck and liked to run up scores against lesser opponents. That's why I have enjoyed the past few seasons of seeing him miss the big game and will really enjoy watching his inevitable decline to mediocrity. His best days are behind him.
  21. I wish you'd stop beating around the bush and get to the point! Okay, so to respond to your three points at length: I agree That's right You betcha
  22. I get all that but that wasn't my question. I asked Astrobot why he thinks Buddy is looking at a trade down when his comments and track record say otherwise.
  23. Jeez, two threads in a row that I agree with Thoner. That scale is just stupid and only makes sense if there is a Peyton Manning on the board. Who in this draft would you give away most of your draft for?
  24. Sneaky Astrobot. Hey Bot, you have been citing trade down scenarios for awhile. I just can't see Buddy pulling the trigger on trading down. What are you seeing that many of us are not seeing?
