  1. I guess I don't understand the steadfast feeling on the part of the FO on this topic. I get it with other positions, young guys need to play. But we have preciouls little talent at OT and zero depth. It needed to be addressed years ago and it's looking like they are not going to address it again. I think "the Hoody" said it best in his book when he talked about "Buffalo's horsesh*t offensive line" as a reason why we can never beat them. DBell is okay, just okay and with nobody behind him that's even close to Okay. Pears is journeyman. Urbik is a question mark. All the gimmick players and scatbacks mean zero without a competent OL and right now it looks as if we wont have one for the upteenth year in a row.
  2. I like "The Offensive Loin " better.
  3. Hey Ice Bowl. Congrats on your SB team. Cheered my *ss off for them. Thanks for the ILB and you have a great RB via Buffalo. Thanks for the classy post.
  4. Havent' been to camp but others are telling me the guy is looking great. Lot's of power, balance and quickness.
  5. I'm with San Jose. Standing Bison baby!
  6. Fast as in 4.8 or so at 6'7" -272 pounds! He's not running by safeties, he's running over them at a good clip!
  7. 220 - 330, whatever it takes...... Not being flip but it will depend on the opponent and game situation. Having Wannstache on the sideline gives me more confidence.
  8. The guy may not be an elite TE, but even if he is okay, he's huge and fast. He's going to be a problem to cover and account for. On paper, he looks great, but I really want to see what he can do. You have to wonder why a team would cut him if he had the stuff.
  9. No, but I attended the grand opening! Not many remember the neon Green Lightning artwork on Elmwood. It was a fun time in B-Lo. Especially when Jimmy Griffen tried to bulldoze the work and the courts stopped him. No lover of the dancing "Mr. Peanut" art was Jimmy.
  10. I've accessed Nix's answering machine and he has it set up for Donte. When you call the message says: "I am not available right now, but thank you for caring enough to call. I am making some changes to the team. Please leave a message after the beep. If I do not return your call, you are one of the changes."
  11. No Maybin, no Whitner and no added TE. Yes to added OT. Good effort and nice post. I have to agree on almost all of it. It's hard to argue that this is not a better roster than last year. Is it improved enough to gain ground in the AFCE? Maybe on Miami.
  12. Yeah, he'll give us the hometown discount after all now that his phone had zero incoming calls. How odd for a "top five" safety!
  13. At this point, I don't see a better FA- RT out there. In fact Clabo was the only clear upgrade I saw. Others had something that spoke to a stop gap answer only. Still, the RT's in camp now are just not up to the task. I'm hoping that either a team will cut or trade someone to make the cap. That seems our last solution. Trouble is we'd like to have the person in camp now. Patience is a B word.
  14. You know, all of us at one time or another fell for the Bleacher Report, so let's give the good Doc some slack here. But it's good every now and again to let new folks know the simple equation: Bleacher Report = BS.
  15. I haven't heard one sane reason why Moats is at ILB. The guy rushes QB's. He's one of the few we have that can actually do it. So let's put him in a situation to fail. He's not a cover guy, he's a DE at heart and wants to rush the passer and stop the run. What the eff are they they thinking. I'm solid behind Buddy and Chan but every year they seem to want to do one assinine thing that befuddles Bills Nation, like, say sign Kelsay to a big contract. This year, take the most productive pass rusher we have and bury him in a position he will fail at. WTF?
  16. Thanks Mike, Big help for us who can't get to Fisher. Did the Wings win?
  17. I couldn't give a rat's ass what Cowherd thinks. Maybe if we signed LeBron.....
  18. Trying to argue these points and I'm not finding ready answers. If it all came down like Bills_Red call it, who wouldn't like that? Can't argue the upgrades there.
  19. To paraphrase Clint Eastwood in "Unforgiven": All right now, I'm gonna post. Any fan I see out there, I'm gonna kill 'im. Any sonofabitch has a positive take on the Bills, I'm not only gonna kill him, I'm gonna kill his wife, all his friends. Burn his damn house down. Nobody better be upbeat! Regards ETD66SS
  20. To hear the "experts" talk they say his arms are too short and he doesn't have the range to contain. I, for one, would like to see him try it out. He's a stud and a guy who gets it done.
  21. Did someone p*ss in your cheerios this morning? You've been bitching about everything in every thread on the board today. Christ grab some midol.
  22. Sorry to ruin your little loathing-fest but Barnett is flat out better than Poz even at this point in their careers. We need two years from him to get Sheppard and Batten up to speed. Great signing. This guy kept AJ Hawk on the bench.
  23. Hope you're wrong on McKelvin but you're dead nuts on the rest.
  24. Barnett is a perfect fit. We need two good years out of him so Sheppard and Batten can take over. Remember, this is the guy who kept AJ Hawk on the bench. Great signing if Buddy can make it happen.
  25. If he's shopping around, the FO should say we are as well and talk to Crowder. Message to Burnett, if we find someone we like we're signing them and not you.
