  1. Skelton will be flying to visit the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. I like all this looking at QBs. Obviously Chan wants his own boy.
  2. With Buddy's recent trip to O St. he could be looking to trade up and get Russell Okung as our day 1 starting LT.
  3. Its all set up now with the signing of their new starting right tackle. With the number 9 pick they either try to trade back into the first for a late round first and extra second, or reach for the new starting left tackle. Either way starting LT first round. With the second round pick they take the gamble and bring Tebow in. Trading up a future pick if necessary to get him earlier in the second. If they signed a free agent NT or someone who in any way resembles a decent defensive tackle it would solidify this plan even more. Buddy likes winners. He wants to hitch his wagon to a proven winner. He brought Chan in because he knows he has had success with spread offense and quirky qbs. Oh its coming. They want to get the final look at the pony before they bet on it, so they are gonna fly him in for a little look see after his pro day. With the Rams signing a DT every one is nervous that one of the qbs that might have been floating around in the top ten my get snatched up right away. This is why Seattle's Pete Carrol is revealing his hand a little bit, and having Tebow over for dinner too. Almost everyone in the top half of the draft is looking for that diamond in the rough qb. Buddy is definately going to address the lines, but if they think that Tim is there man they are going to take him in the second. But I wouldn't be suprised if we have too pass on him by the time of the draft because he got reached for at the end of the first.
  4. Well a QB coming off two shoulder injuries, one of which relieved him of his senior season might have something to prove at his pro day. So if a team or a scout didn't put stock in how a potential overall number 1 pick and franchise qb looks during his workout, then that may explain why they have a shot to take a qb with the first selection.
  5. Who said his ligaments were damaged? Ligaments hold bones together at the joint, not in the middle of the bone where his injury occured. Tendon damage? Possibly but probably not. The atrophy is the biggest worry. When you are in great physical shape, then you get an injury where you don't use your muscles for awhile, they get tiny and weak. This is where the real battle begins in rehab.
  6. We aren't drafting a RT at the 9 spot, so tell me who are these top 4 tackles who can come in and start at LT for 9th pick money?
  7. Delhomme's arm is shot. Did you watch any film of him after the Tommy John surgery. To give him a contract would be foolish when there are other qbs out there that could be the same guy and had for less dough.
  8. Jake the Snake is hanging in Piper's Pit with the Million Dollar Man and Virgil. It would take a huge contract to get him to put the champagne down and bust some heads.
  9. parrish isnt used right so you cant hold him accountable I hope their was some sarcasm in that response, because if not, that is a pretty lame cop out. He was used correctly on punt returns. But for some reason he forgot when and when not to catch a fucin punt. He gets on the field maybe 10 plays a game and can't seem to handle that. Yeah he was deadly before the NFL changed their special teams rules, now he just runs laterally, if not backwards, and can't decide if its time to catch the punt or let it go. C'mon man that was your only job this year! If you could have learned your assignments in the new Offense maybe you could have seen the field more, but you regularly lined up in the wrong spot and had to be directed by a rookie tight end where you actually should be. If Roscoe Parrish has a role in Gailey's offense I will be a little disappointed and will probably throw up in my mouth too.
  10. Schefter reporting that Peppers and Chicago will come to a deal tomorrow.
  11. Well it looks like the US is going to have another tough nut to crack in Miikka Kiprusoff on Friday when they take on Finland.
  12. Didn't we just draft 2 starting o lineman early in last years draft? What are we going to do use our top 2 picks every year on the O-line. Maybe we keep the rookies for a year and start over? Eric Wood will be back this year. Andy Levitre is a good young INTERIOR lineman. Brad Butler was our best lineman before he got hurt. Richie Incognito was a blue chipper with a chip on his shoulder. Yes we need a starting caliber LT to lock down that side for years to come. We will draft 1. Not 2 or 3. What people seem to forgot is that we need a whole shitload of other positions filled. We can't afford to take 2 LTs, pay them a bunch of money, so 1 can sit on the bench. We will be moving to a 3-4 Defense. Yes thats right there are 2 sides to the game. We don't have anything that resembles a NT or starting LBs in that scheme. The thought is that we are going to take our starting DTs and move them to DEs. Sounds good in theory, but we will probably need another DE. There is no way we will spend more then 1 of our top 3 picks on a LT.
  13. No we don't. Unless when you say we need a guard you say it in the context of, we need a C,OT, QB, LBs, NT, WR, TE, KR, DBs and oh yeah a OG. I hope you were being sarcastic.
  14. Anyone who thinks that the NFL would bring the SuperBowl to blustery Western New York in February is mad. Why so people can sip cocktails on the beach while prancing around in there bathing suits. Or maybe they can take in some of our world class restaurants and clubs. Give me a break. Let the world come here and huddle in there hotel rooms or spend all there money at the indian run casinos. Fantastic idea. We might as well just rent a whole **** load of buses and send them to Toronto for the week. They can come back on Sunday and watch the game.
  15. If we take a OT in the first round I will be fine with that. I would like to see Rolondo McClain in the middle of our defense, but if we do take an OT it won't happen. However, Brandon Spikes should still be there in the second and we would be foolish to give up a draft choice and a day 1 starting MLB to get MT. Cody. If Florida would have won the National Championship everyone would be talking about Spikes as the top LB prospect. He would be a steal in the second. Yes we need a NT, but this draft is deep at DT. We desperately need some young, physical, agression at the LB position and McClain or Spikes would fit the bill.
  16. Yeah Rico if you don't think that Tom Terrific is the biggest Douchebag QB in the league then maybe you have never actually seen a douchebag. Does Brett Favre get up after every play and look at the referee scolding him for not doing his job correctly. Did Brett favre get the league to change its rules to make it safer for himself? No. Brady is a whiny little baby who gets all pissed off when things don't go his way. How many times has he guilted a ref into throwing a flag? I'm sick of his sh*t and couldn't have been happier to see him out a season and sitting at home for most of the playoffs.
  17. I don't think bringing in a stud LB who will contribute right away is a luxury pick. Did you see who we had playing LB last year for this team. We have exactly 2 LB's on our roster who should have been on the field.. LB is the heart and soul of the defense. Get some mean SOBs to come in and fill the holes, shed blockers, and make some GD plays. If I have to see Poz get blocked by a guard 1 more time i will puke. If we are really switching to a 3-4 defense then the quick pus*y Lbs we have on our roster will not do! They couldn't even hack it in the 4-3 where there was less pressure to stop the run and cover. I see some mocks that have Miami taking McClain. I guess if we pass we will see how good he is only twice a year. Yeah there are other pressing needs, but are we really ready to reach again on a need, rather then drafting the best football player available?
  18. Im on board. It would be so awesome to have two Big Ten linebackers who look like Fabios lil brothers playing in the middle for us.
  19. Get out of here with that sh*t. You try kicking in Buffalo and making every FG under 4o yards this year. Oh and he has never missed a point after attempt in his career.
  20. Beerball there are a couple more teams that will pick before us. One or two who might take the only legit pick, McClain, left at 9. So maybe people would like to see what the other teams will be "taking" to see if they agree with McShays reasoning. Not that hard to understand.
  21. I don't see Stroud as a very effective DE. Hes not very quick anymore and I would rather see Kyle Williams take that spot. As for your dream scenario of Wilfork and Seymour, yeah it worked for the Pats, but both are going to command big money. IMO it has no chance of happening.
