  1. love this post, and Darth "has been"? You have to actually see the field to have been a has been.
  2. Well basically since qbs don't fall off trees we have to go with what we are dealt. Would you have been happy if we gave Jake Delhomme a cleveland sized contract to come here? No probably not. And since there is only 1 real deal franchise in this draft, your boy, there needs to be evaluation of every qb on the roster. And after tallying the votes, BB had the best college career and the most upside. With one NFL game under his belt (with 4 actual days taking the starting snaps) I happen to think he did a pretty good job.
  3. I was wondering if this thought occurred to anyone else but me. Is it possible that BudChan and the bills brass are just leading everyone to think that we have serious interest in Tebow so we can weed out the potential partners for trading back into the first round?
  4. Actually, Hangartners' snaps seem to go exactly 4 yards, so it might work out perfectly.
  5. I think that guy is Campbell Brown, Levi is the Mayor of Buffalo.
  6. If they take Tebow then a pick like Trent Williams would make alot more sense.
  7. There is a BIG difference between the recruiting and fundraising that an ACC team can do and what a SEC team can do. Therefore it is no big surprise that Georgia had beaten GT six straight times.
  8. So right Fong. If we draft for need in the first round were gonna screw ourselves. We are gonna pay someone way more money then they deserve, and with a chance of one of these top 5 LT, who knows if they will even make the transition. (Williams is a RT) What we need to do first round, since we have so many holes to fill, is draft the player who can step in right away and contribute for a long time. Someone who will be worth the money we pay him. The best available playa!
  9. The only reason his stock was low was because no one had seen him throw since his second shoulder injury. He has always had 1st round talent, teams just questioned his injury.
  10. The deepest o-line class in years. We will just take the kid from Abilene Christian in the 3rd. And haven't we all agreed that Tim Tebow will not make it out of the top of the second round? Give me a break. Someone is going to take a shot on this kid. It just depends on who will jump first. However thinks that we should just take him in the 3rd is smoking crack.
  11. The biggest thing, in my opinion, to this whole McNabb deal that no one is talking about is next season. Yeah with enough money we could get Donny to do just about anything. He might have 2 or 3 good years left in him, but he will probably want a longterm deal, 5 at least. With no guarantee if there will even be football next year, we would be getting ONE good year out of him and paying him for 5. A second rounder, after 2 years of development could end up being so much more of a sure thing.
  12. The offensive woes of this team for the past 5 years have been predicated on a head coach who was defensive minded and had no feel for how an offense should dictate the play of a game. 3 offensive coordinators could not overcome his d drafting and his thought that as long as we keep it close we can find a way to win. Garbage! You need to dictate play and take shots. Something that Dick couldn't or wouldn't do.
  13. If you reread my statement my example was Jason Taylor, not Jason Peters. Since you've never even seen a probowl ballot, your opinion on how the actual voting goes is irrelevant. Since I have seen and voted on the pro bowl selections I will tell you this, there are a whole hell of alot of players that I didn't get to see play last year. And still more who I saw play one or two games. If they played against the Bills I would have there game Dvr'd which I could go back and look at. However, and I'm sure that many people follow the same formula, I based many of my position votes on past achievements, fantasy stats, or the body of work of a unit as a whole (i.e. 2nd best running o or 3rd best passing d). Therefore, I guy like Jason Peters can easily fall into a probowl consecutive years.
  14. Yeah I don't know if you recall or not but we implemented a no huddle offense in training camp, then procceded to fire the man who designed it. We let our qb coach run the offense which according to opposing defenses was pop warner-esque. No motion, no traps or pulls and very predictable. So yeah, with a new LT, a wr who can catch a pass, a stud TE who will be in his second season, and someone who can design plays to take advantage of the little offensive talent we have, i have no doubt that the offense will look NOTHING like it did last year.
  15. +1 If you don't think that a former superbowl winning offensive lineman who gets paid to analyze games and carry on educated conversations about them, hasn't watched, in your opinion, 1 of the 5 best LTs in the game today then you are crazy. Yes this is actually someones job. Unlike you PDaddy they get paid to know there ****, instead of engaging in forum debates just to get there rocks off.
  16. K9 I'm so glad you laid this all out there. It seems that maybe no one on this thread has ever filled out an online pro bowl ballot. Do you think that a Seattle fan who watches little to no Miami Dolphins football could tell weather or not Jason Taylor had a probowl year last year? Probably not. Is Jason Taylor a household name? Yeah. Has he been to previous Probowls? yeah. Did I see him on Dancing with the Stars? yeah. Well you know what, I'm voting for him. Easy as that. For posters who seem to have all the stats and answers to back up there flaky positions, it is funny to watch them get caught with their pants down.
  17. No Colt McCoy huh? Is this because of the Bill's FO's disdain for smaller QBs?
  18. Yeah it really wasn't moving very fast there at the end so it was probably easy to get off of. Although by the end there wasn't probably anyone to help you get off because they jumped a long time ago. The key is to jump while it is in between going forward and the long slow roll backward.
  19. It's not going to be the same offense as last year genius, so you can step away from the ledge and put the gun down. And if we end up winning 2 more games thanks to Donny, we can kiss our high draft pick(Jake Locker) goodbye. Either we sign him for a long term, or we pass.
  20. Actual player aside, this is how I see the Bills conducting the first 2 rounds myself. Pick the best available OT in round 1 and picking Tebow if he's still there in round 2.
  21. Yeah just because Maybin played end in a 4-3 does not mean he is built for end in the 3-4. You have to take on blockers, shed said blockers, find the ball and make a tackle. No where in that description does it say run up field as fast and far as possible.
