Crowder is the same kind of player as Poz on the field decent tackler but is terrible in coverage...also isn't blue collar like pos talks to much. We tried to get Burnett and I think the FO will bring in another ILB but please be someone with coverage skills

Bills interested in OT Tyson Clabo
NeverOutNick replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love the fact that we tried to get Clabo but I honestly believe Nix and company believe Pears is a serviceable RT and if we can't get a beast tackle like Clabo we won't reach for an old vet ie green/walker or someone with the same value as Pears...If anything we'll just grab a couple low cost FA (either undrafted or waiver) and let everything work out in our short camp. I hope we make a play for a valuable vet ILB (i'm sure we will with DW running the ILBs) and if the FO doesn't really feel confident in Shawn Nelson, I'd like them to make an effort to get Zach Miller(that is if Gailey even wants to incorporate a TE in his offense)... That being said I'm happy with our offseason so far...We got Florence back!, We have our 3rd QB (3rd qb is active on game day) Brad Smith who Gailey will use in so many ways, and our #2 QB Thigpen who will be serviceable if Fitz gets hurt GO BILLS!!! -

Brad Smith...Update...signs with Buffalo

This was an awesome pickup! He can do so much to put points on the board and move the chains and Gailey is creative enough to use everything he is capable of...GREAT JOB! GO BILLS!!!! -
I agree that KW would be the only real snub in my opinion as well but when I saw Mike Williams make the list and Stevie J didn't I thought why not since he had the better year on a worse team...I can't wait to see what KWs stats look like next year with Dareus playing next to him! Bye Bye last place run D!!!

I usually don't post but after watching some of the NFL networks top 100 players of 2011 ONLY! and hearing that the Bills do not have 1 player that qualify I am thinking the players really didn't get as much say as NFL network wants us to think. How is Kyle Williams not in the top 100? Mike Williams (TB) played well and was ranked 83 but had worse stats then Stevie Johnson...I understand BJ Raji and Mike Williams are on better teams but looking at stats alone and how Stevie and KW have beasted on a bad team, I'm really surprised players didn't vote for them in the top 100 of 2011. GO BILLS!!

Whitner Tweets: Thinks he's gone?
NeverOutNick replied to scribo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lol that's all we should be asking for...What else do you want him to do? Should he go on convoys in Afghanistan on his off time or help with the relief efforts in Japan. He's not attacking anyone personally with his comments so we shouldn't attack him personally. I don't think he's the best SS in the league but he's a solid player. Who cares if he's worried about not coming back to Buffalo by expressing himself in Twitter that just shows he cares... -

This is pretty easy...I'm thinking 140 tackles and in the top 10 for most in the league may beg to differ -

Isn't this a "social media outlet"? just saying...chill with all the hate on a guy who tries his hardest every Sunday -

I think we for the most part are but the few dbags out there who aren't supportive of our team are the ones posting nonsense on our players twitter pages and wherever else... We are on the right track and I love how this Draft is turning out but we still need veteran leadership and I think players like Whitner and Florence are great examples of that. GO BILLS!!!! -

Holy Sh!! Bruschi just said something good about the BILLS!?! He said Kelvin Sheppard was his favorite Day 2 pick!!! BOOO YAAAAAAAAAA -
Luke Stocker would be awesome...What's the deal with Cannon from TCU? does he really have cancer...
-
If you watch SEC football it shouldn't have been an "oh that guy" moment because this dude is the leader of one of the best defenses in college football! Great pick Nix!!! He is really nailing the draft this year with value and need! I wanted either Martez Wilson or Kelvin Sheppard because I knew we wouldn't go after Mallett...This is a fun draft...GO BILLS!!!!

Round 2 (Pick #34): CB Aaron Williams - University of Texas
NeverOutNick replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like I said earlier I would've liked to see them trade down but this was a good pick and if he was the highest rated player on the Bills board then awesome! Better pick when you see how weak the CB class is this year (it's been said worst in the last 10 years)...We got one of the last really good ones -
Round 2 (Pick #34): CB Aaron Williams - University of Texas
NeverOutNick replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Aaron WILLIAMS is not a bad pick but I'd rather see the Bills trade back to someone wanting Dalton/Mallett/Kaepernick and get some more picks and grab an ILB like Wilson, Foster, or Sheppard...stay put only if they really believe in Bowers and maybe Reed -
I think the bills are in the perfect situation to trade down (not too far) and pick up an extra pick or two and still get a guy they are targeting like Sheard, Kaepernick or an ILB (Sheppard, Wilson, Foster). I'm not saying I agree with any of those picks but I'd rather trade down with a team like the 49ers who want a QB than stay put and take a guy we could get later. (unless they really like Bowers, Reed, or Ayers) I know the Bills are probably not going to take Mallett but I sure hope he doesn't go to Miami or NE...

Round 1 (Pick #3): DT Marcell Dareus - University of Alabama
NeverOutNick replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man I'm so happy!!! This kid is the real deal, great work ethic, great personality (fun loving dude), and just a beast of a football player that can play anthing on our line! Him and Kyle Williams will be fun to watch...No finishing last against the run this year!!! GO BILLS!!!!! -
Totally agree! Ryan Mallet is a no brainer in rd 3. Dude can make all the throws and his character issues don't bother me with Fitz and Chan their to coach him through his maturity issues. I liked how he handled himself at the combine (watch some of the videos)...

DraftTek February Positional Needs
NeverOutNick replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd be ok with this draft! Don't really think we need a CB at the bottom of 4 and would rather double up on LBers but this would be a good draft. My preference would be: 1. Nick Fairley DE Auburn 2. Gabe Carimi OT Wisconsin 3. Kelvin Sheppard ILB LSU 4a. Luke Stocker TE Tenn 4b. Christian Ponder/Andy Dalton QT My realistic Mock would be: 1. AJ Green WR Georgia 2. Christian Ballard DE Iowa 3. Kelvin Sheppard ILB LSU 4a. Cliff Matthews OLB SC 4b. Marcus Gilbert OT FL -
DraftTek February Positional Needs
NeverOutNick replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with most of your moves except I'd make QB a P3 and RT a P2 or leave it P3...Our first overall pick needs to be BPA hopefully AJ Green, Fairley, or Dareus. Then hopefully we get ILB and Dline help also a Tackle in the 2nd or 3rd. Fitzpatrick is a fine stopgap QB and I don't think we should reach for one. If Newton or Mallett fell to us in the 2nd or Dalton or Ponder fell to us in the 4th then sure we should pull the trigger. Our first pick like I've said before needs to be a "Sure Thing" or as close to one as we can get. -
I would love this scenario... Green is by far the most reliable pick in this draft and Fairley could be Suh-like, so either would be great! No Peterson, QB, or OLB/DE (miller, Quinn, Bowers)
-
Lets take a sure thing this year. No more projects (Maybin) or potential superstar/busts (McKelvin, Spiller)...I say Nix lives by his word and takes BPA and takes AJ Green or one of the DTs (Fairly or Dareus)...no small OLBs (Miller) or potentially great pass rushers (Quinn and Bowers) and PLEASE NO QB. Everyone one of these QBs in this draft has some glaring problem that will enable them to start right away and we need a player to start right away with our #3 pick (Gabbert and Newton never played pro-style, Mallett is a statue and we'll get destroyed without a patriot O-line, Locker just isn't worth being drafted the first 2 rounds). AJ Green would be my first choice because he is as close as it gets to a sure thing! After that we go LB and Dline heavy with a RT in the mix the next 2 rounds

No Matter Who You Want At #3
NeverOutNick replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After about 10 years of terrible 1st round selections I would be excited to get a great player worthy of his selection at #3 this year. I know everyone doesn't want to see a WR or CB but if AJ Green is there at #3 I would pull the trigger. He is the best all-around player in the draft and least likely to bust in my opinion (Megatron/Moss Type Player). -

Playoff Predictions

AFC: Balt over KC Indy over NYJ Balt over NE Pitt over Indy Balt over Pitt NFC: NO over Seattle GB over Phil GB over ATL NO over CHI GB over NO Superbowl Green Bay 31 Baltimore 28 The reason GB (#6) plays Atl (#1) is because the lowest ranking team plays the highest...correct me if wrong. Sticking to my original prediction at the end of the season
