  1. I would love this move....Let's do it now. I am serious when I say this too, let's get Mike Leach to be the offensive coordinator too. At least then our sideline would be more annamated and fun to watch.
  2. I would rather be chasing ghosts and give me some kind of hope other than placing all my hope in Fitz. I like Fitz but he is no franchise QB, he would be a great mentor and teacher for our QB of the future. Not saying we have to trade our draft away but we have too much talent on this team now and they just need a leader they can believe in. You can tell when they are on the field that they aren't playing all out for Fitz and it is sad, but I think Fitz plateaued and we have nobody on the bench to step in with any future on the team. I say no matter what we draft the best QB available this year where we pick. The only way I would trade up would be to use this draft and this draft only to move up, not giving away any of our future first rounders. Look at what the Dolphins got at 8, they got Tannehill and he was questioned when he was chosen but he proved critic wrong I think, also look at the Vickings I think they got ponder early before us last year and he is a very productive starter with an upside, that is something we don't have.
  3. I just think Chan out coaches himself. Like they said in Varsity Blues "stick to the basics, stick to the basics, stick the the basics, your about the dumbest smart kid I know." Run the damn ball. I don't even like the way the switch out the running backs. I say put Spiller in there (as much as I love Jackson too) and use Jackson as a third down short yardage back, or put him out as WR in the slot for WR screen passes or something. Be creative. I think if we would have stuck with Spiller and let him get in a rythem he would have dominated. I also couldn't stand the wildcat throw at that point in the game. I understand going for the kill shot but why take out your starting QB (if he really is your starter) put a guy in who hasn't thrown a ball all year and let him throw it to the endzone "really." I thought Chan was trying to lose the game. That is why we don't have a winning culture in Buffalo and just take the W when it is there. I was happy for the players in this game not for Chan. The Defense really stepped up and it looked to me like they tried to keep it simple. I can take getting beat on those big plays when we got preasure with the straight bull rushes, not trying any stunts or trickery to get a pass rush, just straight muscle.
  4. I have to admit I am not a coach, player, or expert on football. I don't get to into the play calling and formation of plays and what the play is suppose to do. I would say I am a loyal, pashionate, and dedicated fan. But I have to say I hate going to work Monday making excuses for our team. Many of the posters here on the board say "stay the course," or "the important games are the next two," which both statements may be true, but there is something wrong with this team especially the way we lost the last two games. This team gave up. They go through the motions and don't really play like they believe in the system. Compared to the Bills games of the early 90's they played with pashion and a purpose, this team does neither. Don't get me wrong I love the Bills, and the season isn't over yet, but in reality it is and here is why: 1. We need a QB and there is nothing that will change that until we get one. I am not talking about someone's career backup like Fitz is and was in Cinny. He just doesn't look comfortable when throughing the ball, even the deep ball, not like Kelly did, even T. Edwards (yes I said it) looked more comfortable throwing the ball IMO although most of his passes were short. I was thinking what it would take the Bills to trade for K. Cousins from Washington. Obviously RG3 is their QB of the future and if we got Cousins he would at least give us a backup QB we can grow on and learn something from Fitz. Next year Fitz should be an Offensive consultant instead of a starting QB. What do you think it would take. I would go with a 3rd and a 6th rounder. 2. We need a new DC now on this team one that isn't afraid to blitz. There is too much talent on that side of the ball to waste this year and if we stick with the stash it will be a waste. After watching the games and hearing the comitators we don't blitz enough. Sure we have studs up front, our LB's are weak and our DB's are weak. We need to blitz every down and roll the dice. I wouldn't mind giving up big plays if we are trying to make em. We never blitz and I was wondering how teams gameplan for us. It's easy our 5 offensive linemen and RB will block your 4 DL all day because numbers don't lie. 6 will beat 4 all day. Then the teams expose how weak our LB's and DB's really are. I will use a line from R. Ryan "Blitz and then Blitz some more" I know those front 4 are good and blitzing would at least change it up and take some of the preasure off of them. 3. As much as we think Gaily is an offensive mind, which he probably is, I think he needs to give those duties to an Offensive Coordinator instead of doing it all by himself. I would really like to see someone in the booth calling the plays on Offense and let Chan work the sidelines. I think he is doing too much and needs to let someone "train" underneath him or even put his two sense in on defense also. I think being just a "head coach" instead of "head coach/offensive coordinator" is too much for anyone and doesn't bring the team together. First and formost we need some young talent with an upside at QB and now is the time to see what Cousins has because we all know Thigpen doesn't have it. If we spend a 3rd and 6th (or something similar) and he doesn't work out or appear to have what it takes we would still have our number 1 pick (and right now it looks like it will be pretty high like top 5) to draft the best QB available
  5. I totally agree with you. And I noticed some people are saying we lost the deep threat, I say Parrish is our deep threat now. He is small but fast and he has caught a few bombs in his day. Plus Evans didn't fit Fitz QB style anyway. Fitz isn't a deep ball QB. Intermediate yes but not deep and we have a ton of intermediate WR's. I think Nelson is going to step up this year myself.
  6. I think they did adress our right side, just cause they don't sign those big name free agents (they tried to get Clabo) to overpaid contracts means something to me. It means we have leadership in our office and locker room. Why overpay a player just to get him, when the guy playing right next him on the line is could be better and making less money. Makes for more controversy to me and unwanted distractions. I think Buddy is doing a great job and sticking to his guns and principles. We need more people like him in our political office, but I am not going there. He said he builds a team through the draft and that is just what he is doing. He has drafted two capable RT's in the draft the last two years (Wang and Harriston) give these guys a shot before totally crushing there confidence by bringing in someone else who started the same way they did, by getting drafted in a mid round and earning there coaches respect and get some playing time. I for one think we are fine at RT for now. We aren't winning any superbowls anytime soon so lets build a solid foundation through the draft (like Buddy is) and see what happens.
  7. Just wondering if there is any chance we sign Whitner back. I think our secondary is going to be tested much more this year then in the past since our D-line is getting bigger and better and more equiped to stop the run. I feel our secondary is in for it. I would like Antonio more if we can get him, but I will also settle for Whitner (just for his hitting especially the hitting on #85 in NE). Whitner Byrd McGee and Antonio would be nice with flo in the slot.
  8. That is going to be an awesome unmovable force to tie up the o-line and let our LB's cause havoc....
  9. we still have Batten (last year) and Sheppard (rookie)to start at ILB as well. Let's see what we got.
  10. I have a funny feeling that the Bills are going to go after Antonio Cromartie. I mean it makes sense, hear me out. The Bills don't need a CB, they waste money on people we don't need, and of course Antonio was in SD with Nix. Now would I be mad at this, not really. I always like taking something good away from our division rivals. And Antonio would be a good fit next to McGee (if McGee can stay healthy), I mean last year we signed Drayton (ex-charger) after Nix arrived, so why not Antonio also. It could work even though I would like to see us spend our money else where.
  11. Gaily and Nix were learning what they had on the roster. Yes film says a lot but a lot is also learned about a player on the sidelines as well. I liked Lynch but he is no Fred. I also think Spiller will turn out to be a surprise this year as well. Fred and Spiller will be a good 1/2 punch.
  12. I don't think the Bills will look back, because they fixed or took the right approach to fix the problem that the Bills had and that is defense. Anyways the Bills will be picking in the top half of the draft again next year and there is much more talent at QB (Luck, Jones, I would have said Pryor but he is coming out in the supplemental draft anyway) we will land one of them.
  13. The question I have about Jasper along with a number of other people is "Can he play football, or is this just a stepping stone to the WWE?"
  14. I have to agree with The Truth Hurts. We haven't even seen Jasper play football yet. Yes we are all marveled by his size and strength, but can he play football. I think Troupe is going to have a good year of the verge of a break out year in year three. Learning to play in the NFL isn't easy, I was listening to NFL radio today and they made some good points about the lock out and how it will effect players coming into this league. You need more then raw talent to make it in this league especailly as a rookie. So I don't take any rookie season stats to heart, lets see what they do in year two. And you can't compare Troupe to Jasper yet (Troupe is well far advanced then Jasper) and if the guy is such a freak why don't we play him at guard so we can push around the jets and pats NT and open some lanes.....although I would much rather try him at NT that was just a thought.
  15. Which Johnson is a beast? Andre Johnson (yes) Stevie Johnson (not yet). Fitz is the QB and is suppose to throw the ball to the open reciever and he would probably say the recievers are rated about the same not taking sides. Evans had his moments last year just like Stevie, but when the ball was thrown Evan's he caught it. He caught it in traffic and in the open field, unlike Stevie who was unrelieable. I also think we will see who the real number one is on this team this year, and that will be Lee Evans. Remember Fitz worked with Stevie alot on the "PRACTICE" team while Evans was playing football, and yes they got comfortable. But another year of playing with Evans and getting comfortable will only make them better. Heck I hope we have two stud recievers, that both but up monster stats this year like Moulds and Price the first year Bledsoe was here. But I am not going to call Stevie a beast just yet. He is the only Bills player that single handedly lost a game by himself (Pit). And nobody is called anybody on this board an effin idiot, grow up.
  16. are you kidding me, "Stevie" butter fingers, can't catch a ball thrown directly at him Johnson. I like Johnson but when the game is on the line or we need a first down in a key point in the game I expect him to drop it every time, and am suprised when he even catches it. He is not the best reciever on the team, that goes to Evens. Evens made Stevie last year by stretching the field and getting double teamed. Plus I don't care how big a reciever is, cause size isn't everything. There are some very good reciever's that are small in this league. You guys on this board make him out to be a hall of famer without even seeing him play. Pre-season doesn't mean much, Spiller looked like he was going to have a great rookie year in training camp, and what happened to him. I do hope he has a great year, and I always like the fact the guy walked on his college team, that says something about his work ethic right there that many guys don't have. But lets not base what he is going to do this year based on last years pre season and his size. Let's wait until he starts catching some balls and thowing some blocks is a real game when it counts.
  17. Ryan Tannehill Texas A&M QB 76 6-4 219 7 SR-3L com att yds pct avg lg td int sacks rating 152 234 1638 65.0 7.00 64 13 6 12 137.0
  18. If there is no football this year, (lets hope there is) but lets say there isn't going to be any football this year. Isn't the draft order the same as 2011? If so I wouldn't mind that because, Carolina already has there QB of the future, Denver would probably want some more D and they still have Tebow (and even if they didn't want Tebow) we would have Barkley or Luck sitting right there for us. But I say lets play some football. I am always for showing improvement. You play to win the game..
  19. For one, we don’t need any more LB's if we sign Poz we still have 11 LB's on the roster; and Trevor Pryce (DE) "Locker room leader veteran 5-tech that can teach Dareus" don't we already have one of them too in D. Edwards so why waste our money and time pursuing Pryce. The only one I would agree with here is Spaeth but that is only if we can't get Boss or Miller. I also like Tyler Thigpen as the backup for Fitz although I would like to see us go with more youth. I still say sign J. Johnson from Texas A&M to be our backup and get coached up. That kid did get benched but just cause the team wasn't responding, he is a gun slinger with an incredible arm and can make all the throws (just watch tape of the Texas A&M vs OKLA State game) he did lose the game for the Aggies cause he was a little over aggressive. I think Chan can do wonders with him. Kerry Collins Owen Danials
  20. and if Bell gets nasty, and plays with a little sting in the run game.
  21. I would take a flier also. I am no huge fan of Clausen by any means, but I do gotta say the kid got screwed. He was thrown into an unstable situation, throwing the ball to two rookie WR's and no running game. It was just piss poor coaching all around in Carolina. I think Fox was coaching to get fired and wanted out and it trickled down to the field. Clausen would be nice to have behind Fitz for a couple of years and let game come to him, and learn how to be a leader behind Fitz. He does have some talent. He would probably be the best backup we could get with an upside and not spend a lot of money on a career backup. Think about San Diego, had Brees, didn't have an impressive first couple of years in the league drafted Manning traded for Rivers, and let Brees go to NO. Now who would you rather have Rivers or Brees?
  22. I would like to see this guy make the team. Get in a rotation with Troupe and move Williams to the DE rotation in the 3-4 situation. Then we have Troupe and Williams for the middle Darius and Carrington on the outside in the 4-3. Might be nice.
  23. i like the OT from TCU he is a position of need. I like Casey Mathews too but we have Moats who did very well at the end of the year last year. I also think Casey will be there later in round four. OT LSU and Mathews in round four would make our draft an A+.
  24. I say Cannon, he played for a winning program and looks like a good fit at RT.
