  1. How do you know he would have been there in round 4. Can you see the future. Did you know Locker was going to be the 8th overall pick, or Ponder at 12, or Mallet at 70 something and in a Patiots uniform. Mallet will be kicking our butts in about 3 years. I am totally stoked about our draft so far. We are actually picking players from big programs that can play and are proven to play at a high level anginst the best college players in the land. I am so over Ohio State player and big 10 players overall (over rated). SEC and Big 12 are the cream of the crop. No Troy State player should ever be picked what 8th overall where we took Mckelvin what has he done. The only thing the big 10 produces is solid back-ups or role players. As for Sheppard he is a good pick. Yes maybe we could have taken him in round 4 but who knows. The only thing I know is he is a Bill and I like it.
  2. I say Alex Smith, I think Chan can do wonders for that kid, I was watching him play last year and didn't realize he had a gun. He still has upside never got good coaching in SF
  3. Too Short, What about J. Johnson from Texas A&M, big arm needs to learn more, put him behind Fitz and see what he does. We wouldn't even have to draft him.
  4. I like the Williams and Sheppard picks. For once we are drafting all our guys from big time conferences that play real football and not over-rated high school football. Nothing wrong with Williams or Sheppard. I probably would have taken Houston instead of Sheppard at that point and maybe tomorrow we can land Casey Mathews tomorrow that would be nice.
  5. Mallet in round three makes sense to me. This guy is a good QB and played in the toughest conference in College football and put up some good numbers. His attitude is somewhat of a problem, but that could also be a good thing. And he did have by far the best arm in this draft for the Buffalo winds. Just think if he sits under Fitz for a year or 2 while he learns the game. I think we would have a winner..... By the way I am ok the with Williams pick in round 2. I live in Big 12 country, and that guy is a heck of a player. I give us an A+ so far.
  6. bowers or mallet in round 2, i am going for bowers but he will be gone by the time we pick. I see it going like this Bowers to Carolina and Mallet to us.
  7. A good offensive tackle should be available in round 2 also maybe we go there.
  8. replacing the Vikings, their line was great last year too.
  9. What if Gabbert falls to round 2 do we take him or Ponder?
  10. Newton's Number 1 so we better get Darius or Miller either one i am good even Fairly
  11. I think that the Bills will pick Green and then trade him right away to the Bangels for there first and second round picks I think Bowers falls to us in round 2 also
  12. If we go LB we go with Miller at #3. Quinn is still to risky to take right there after missing a year of contact football. If we trade down to like 7-10 then we take Quinn.
  13. Still a one year wonder. Remember those guys are playing for paychecks too their senior or junior(with intent to come out) year. Just makes you question their work ethic and where was that work ethic their freshmen, sophomore, and junior years. Why turn it on the year they know they are coming out to go pro and play like that consistently. I would much rather have a constant pro (trade down and get Watt, Jordan, but not waste the pick on another one year wonder with lots of potential to only find out what his real work ethic is). Cam Newton is another one of those guys, one year wonder at Auburn (not someone I want), at least Gabbert if we get him played more then one year at a high level. I want someone like a Miller, or like I said Jordan, Watt, I would even take Quinn because he probably realized by sitting out last year what he has and is now willing to do whatever it takes to keep it (hopefully, its still a risk that I would only use if we traded down and he was there).
  14. Yes, we can even get Miller with that pick as well cause if they covet Newton or Gabbert, if Carolina takes Newton, and the broncos take Dareus, the Cards take Gabbert, the Bengals take Green, that still leaves us with Miller at % now instead of 2 with 3 second round picks for a possible (DL, TE, and OT) Cards leapfrog the Bengals that would be awesome.
  15. I have to disagree with you about the highlighted part. He is so quick he makes players run where they don't want to which is right into the teeth of the D. Our outside LB's last year were to slow and they RB's just ran around them with one juke move. If you watch Miller against the Big 12 (which is no push over conference) the last two season he dominated both rushing and passing. No he didn't make all the tackles last year but to be a good run defender do you have to make all the tackles, I don't think so as long as you dont get beat and can contain the RB so you team mates can make plays that is all i want. I think he does that and doing so makes players around him better. I mean the A&M Defense is full of no names and I bet nobody else from that Defense gets drafted, that just says alot about Miller IMO.
  16. I think with all the invites the Front Office is trying to find a reason not to pick Miller, and can't. I like this Miller in the first but I also think if Phil Taylor is there in the second we take him over Wilson. We only need to add one LB in my maybe two in the draft, don't forget we have Merriman and Batten coming back from injury; also Moats and I think we should resign Poz. I would just like to see us get Taylor, I think a good rotation for NT Troupe and Taylor, you can also put Williams in there but I think with his motor he would be just as good if not better at DE.
  17. - I like your first pick - I don't think we go with a OT in round two (we might get one in the later rounds) - I think in round 2 we either go TE if a good one is still there or ILB - I think we go CB here or SS which ever has the best athelete It also wouldn't suprise me if we trade down in the first round to the Vickings or the Niners, and get someone like Quinn with that pick, but like I said if we can't trade down we go with Miller at #3. But then again I was talking with a good friend of mine, who is a big time Broncos fan and he said all over the Broncos websites that they are talking up Miller at #2. So who really knows we can talk all day on these boards about who we want. We just need to wait until after the draft and talk about WHO we got. If we don't get Miller those of you who think he is not the one will regret it when he is bringing home the Defensive Rookie of the year award next year that is if there is a next year. And is a constant pro bowler for the next 6 years. I am just saying.....Its going to be a whole lotta of woulda......coulda......shoulda
  18. Whatch "film" on Jamarcus Russell, he was a freak in college went round one and where is he now. Ryan Leaf. Joey Harrington (not so much the athelete but the #3 pick). Newton is a one year wonder and we don't need him. He wont sign the long deal and want to stay in Buffalo so why waste our time and a pick on him. HE WILL BE A CANCER
  19. I am sorry but I am going with Colin Cowherd (host of the Herd on ESPN radio) although his voice is kinda annoying and hard to follow along with (it sounds like he is whining all the time) but he said that Cam Newton is putting on a show. He is not the kinda guy he is acting like now, and that he is just trying to get a job. He also said that Buffalo would be an interesting team for him cause he would sell tickets cause of the hype he will bring in. I am not about selling tickets myself and the hype for a one year wonder coming out of college, I mean he scored a 21 on the wonderlick test (a test you can now study for online and score pretty high if wanted and show that you can study a play book and defenses to better your game and the team) The score itself bothers me but not really the fact that he didn't even try bothers me. That to me just shows what kind of work ethic this guy has and how he has a greater chance of being a cancer instead of a saviour. I say and have been saying skip it this year. Trade down to four or five even inside the top 10 take Quinn or Miller and call it a day with some more picks.
  20. Fairly had one good year in college, don't we already have a one year wonder on the college level "Maybin" we don't need another. Miller is the safest pick here, and a blue collar type guy. Miller is the guy.
  21. Yeah, with all this defensive talent in this draft lets waste two of our first four picks on OL....NOT. Our line isn't that bad, and the way to fill that need is a solid vet free agent and get loaded on the D side of the ball this draft. I would like to see all Defensive players and maybe 1 Offensive player (TE) in this draft.
