  1. I don't think that they should ever return kicks that land in the end zone. They rarely ever get to the 25 where they get it if they down it AND they risk a fumble and/or penalty.
  2. Tyrod is the best QB that the Bills have had in > a decade, but he isn’t a legitimate starting QB in the NFL in 2017. He just will NOT throw the ball unless somebody is open by 10 yards. That is NCAA level QB play. I acknowledge Taylor’s effort and leadership, but he is nowhere near ther answer for a legitimate playoff contender. Some will wish to argue that the (lack of) defense lost this gAme -and that is true, but no way Taylor is a decent NFL starting QB. I am not arguing that Peterman is the answer, but once out of the playoff picture (a couple weeks), he deserves a shot- or rather Taylor will have proven that he is not the answer.
  3. I have a lot of respect for Tyrod Taylor, but he is not a good starting QB in the NFL. He WILL NOT throw the ball unless he has a receiver WIDE OPEN. That isn’t NFL QB play. Still, he is the best QB that this snake-bitten franchise has had in a decade. That speaks more to the problems this team has had in finding a QB, than it does to Taylor’s viability as a starter. I think it is unlikely that Peterman is the answer, but based on Taylor’s limitations and at least some hope we saw from Peterman in preseason and the garbage time today, I think that Peterman gives them a bit more of a chance than Tyrod does. I don’t expect a move to be made in the next few games, though. Tyrod is a respected veteran and fits the effort and attitude that this staff wants the team to embody. Given that, benching Tyrod would take A LOT.
  4. No doubt that Dareus is VERY talented and was helping the run defense. However, he is a major underachiever whose contract was paying him elite levels of money. He was clearly not going to turn the corner and become the dominant player he could be (and was being paid to be). I think that he is an ultra-talented happy-go-lucky underachiever whom you can’t win with. it is clear that ripping the band-aid off is going to expose the remaining under-talented starters, but in my opinion it is best in the long-run.
  5. Ahh, Zay Jones is improving, so TwoBillsDrive must find another player to label as a bust!
  6. While I agree that Taylor has played pretty well, I think the view would be very different without a plus 14 turnover ratio. Agreed, Taylor does his part by throwing very few picks, but the rate at which the defense is getting turnovers is very high and won't be sustained over the long-haul. When the defense's rate of turnover returns to a normal level, then the offense will have to rely on Taylor to carry more of the load. We'll see whether he is up to it. To be clear, I am rooting for him, I just have my doubts that he is the long-term answer.
  7. Several of those "more than a few good prospects" are playing themselves out of high draft consideration. Josh Allen has been unable to carry his team, watching Mason Rudolph right now and he is struggling and Lamar Jackson has had a lot of trouble. Mayfield is kind of gutsy, but I think his size is going to be a problem in the NFL. It is actually looking like 2017 might have been the better QB class. Additionally, the Bills are playing well enough that they may not be within shouting distance of a good QB prospect and those extra picks from KC and the Rams are going to be late 1st and mid-late 2nd - nowhere near as high as we hoped when the trades were made... I think they will actually be hard pressed to find a prospect that is any better than Taylor. If I had to take a shot at QB, I'd probably take Lamar Jackson with KC's pick - if he is there. I would not trade up for him or any of the others listed above. Still, there is a long way to go and one or more guys could come on and become a better candidate
  8. Some props to Tyrod for the pass to Thompson. Why is that so rare?
  9. Never would have believed that! Now no ST or defensive let downs
  10. Now just find a way to eat clock and get a short FG
  11. Need Hughes and Dareus to put some major pressure on.
  12. Realistically it was over before it started. They pulled a couple of impressive wins primarily with defense, but this team is still talent-deficient
  13. There is not enough talent in the LB group or secondary to overcome lack of pass rush.
  14. Real QB vs RB - that is what happens
  15. Nice! Marcel now has a stat!
  16. Here comes another long drive
  17. See how different it is watching a real QB is vs Taylor? Pretty much game over as Taylor is unable to throw a decent pass
  18. Some here REALLY NEED a scape goat. There are some here who aren't happy if there isn't at least one guy that they are trying to run out of town. Jones for sure hasn't been what we'd hoped -SO FAR. He is 5 games into his rookie season having played not the best college competition. It might take a little time for him to master playing at this level. give him his rookie year at least. If he doesn't improve, then we'll all give you guys credit for KNOWING that he sucked after watching only a few games
  19. I think it is the Russians trying to influence the Bills' decision making.
  20. Oh well, tough situation.
  21. I'm rooting for EJ - he works hard and never complains. He deserves a some success.
  22. I don't disagree that he is struggling, but his college career suggests that the talent is there. Good to have patience with young players.
  23. So many so fast to run a young guy out of town. He was stumbling, but that should have been caught. Still, waaay too early to be so harsh on the guy.
