I am not a Taylor hater, but I believe that two things have happened: 1 Mathews has been injured (uncharacteristic for him) 2 Taylor will not throw to anyone that isn’t WIDE open. Good NFL QBs can complete passes to receivers that are marginally open.

For sure. I am pretty sure that I would be rich if Daddy fronted me a LOT of money and then took advantage of bankruptcy laws. i know that this is not a political forum- and I am not a political activist, but I am sure that Trump is an embarrassment to the US in the world community. No other country cares if he is rich. He IS delusional and woefully incapable of governing a small town let alone a motor world power.

Have you listened to ANYTHING that Trump has said? Best scenario is that Republicans realize that he will bring them down and impeach him. When your closest allie (Britain) has to issue an embarrassing rebuke of his nonsense, you know it is historically bad. Keep believing that. I have had a decent career and am thankful for the companies that have employed me, but make no mistake- those corporations would not lose a second of sleep to ship your job and your benefits overseas to increase profits. I used to think that, too. Age has a habit of changing perspectives.

Mathews was a high quality NFL WR before he arrived here. Kelvin Benjamin is a very good receiver and Charles Clay was productive before getting here.

Check the tax bill before you declare that - unless you own a major corporation that will take the tax break and create more jobs ( overseas).

Jets and Phins are just 1game behind Bills. Bills and Phins play 2x remainder of season. Could flip positions. There are a bunch of teams only 1 game worse than 6-6, possible for them to move up as well. Chargers and Raiders both should be 6-6 by end of today.

I agree that Taylor is very limited, but he is nowhere near the worst the Bills have trotted out.

Come now, the offense has been weak the entire season. Much of that falls on the full offense, but what we are seeing on O is not different than what was seen the previous two years. i don’t say that Taylor is the entire problem, but he is not the solution either unless you are fielding an all-time great defense and super running game. Do you really think the defense that was giving up 35+ a game was going to hold the Chargers to below 16 that the O likely would have scored with Taylor at the helm? Perhaps, just maybe, the entire team responded to the shakeup of benching Taylor. Maybe instead of saying McDermott was stupid to bench Taylor, we should praise him for jump-starting a dead team.

Has more ever been made of benching a marginal and limited QB? I am on record as respecting Taylor’s effort and ability to avoid turnovers, but come on, some here act like he was performing at a Hall Of Fame level and was benched irrationally.

Word! Way too many were writing him off early. The NFL is the highest level of competition in football, running off young guys that are not immediately productive is a recipe for continued failure. Way too simple of an analysis: I disagree that that pass would have been caught by “most” NFL caliber players, that was a difficult one catch and I think the kid will learn from that.

Are you saying that if the Bills had a top 1/3 of the league QB and good WRs playing that they would still have turtled on offense? I disagree with that assertion- but given who they have, I don’t really fault the offensive play calling.

What are you talking about? If they pass and it is incomplete, KC retains a timeout. They judged that it was better to force KC to use TOs than it was to take a chance on an incomplete pass. I guess I could make an argument that they could have had Taylor roll out and eat the ball if there was no sure completion available. Still, you have to recognize that available personnel has a lot to do with what plays you can reasonably call.

That is exactly what he did. He didn’t have confidence that the players he has could complete a pass, so he called 3x runs.

Agree with this. A 15 yard penalty should be called only when obvious. There was almost no contact and he gave a 15 yard gift

It is time to stop blaming Dennison. The offense lacks the talent to do much with. Benjamin out, Mathews not fully healthy, OK OL and Taylor is OK, but bottom 1/3 of the league as a starter. if you start with mediocre ingredients, you can’t really blame the Chef for how the meal turns out.

Calls are dictated by the players - coaches didn't have confidence that Taylor would complete a pass, so chose to run 3x to force KC to burn TOs. High backfire probability, but I understand why they did what they did.

I don't think this is Dennison being conservative to be conservative, he is not confident in Taylor. What a GREAT offensive series that was....

Boy, I hate that we look like we will run 3 times and punt. KC has to sell out to stop the run, but we won't take advantage of that.

Watching this game slip away. The D played well up till now, shame the O couldn't put up more than 16.
