  1. I don’t understand the DK Metcalf love. I know he is big and fast for his size, but he has little college production and what production he had was mostly against poor competition. He was not even the first receiving option on his own team - AJ Brown was - not to mention there is an injury issue also with Metcalf (neck) I just can’t see WR being in play at pick 9 with this class. i also can’t see OL being a possibility either unless Jonah Williams is there - and even then seems pretty high for a guy that more than a few thinks would be a Guard in the NFL. At this time, it sure looks like defense is probably the pick barring a trade down.
  2. Looks like the Bills are picking 10th. Likely out of range for Bosa, Quinnen Williams, Ed Oliver and possibly Jonah Williams. Who looks good after that? Will Clelin Ferrell be available? - I would guess not as pass rushers go early. Would Bills take a chance on Dexter Lawerence after he was found to have banned substances (‘were they steroids?) Is Rashan Gary worth a high pick and where do you play him? So far, it doesn’t seem that a WR will be regarded highly enough to take there, but that could change as the offseason unfolds.
  3. NFL Network is showing that the Bills have pick 10 with Denver at 9.
  4. So far based only on what I have read about the prospects, it seems that there is a very good chance that a DT will be BPA when Bills pick. I have seen conflicting reports on DE Clelin Ferrell as a top pass rusher and Josh Allen (KY) is described as more LB than DE, so while I agree that pass rusher is a very important position and it could use an upgrade, I don’t know that there is a really good DE prospect after Bosa. For sure, player ratings can change a fair bit before the draft, but I haven’t seen a highly rated OT other than Williams from ’Bama, but several suggest that he will have to move to OG in the NFL. While WR is a major need, so far I don’t see a prospect there worth picking over one of the several highly regarded DTs.
  5. Couple of nice throws at least. Now the sh*t run D to get gashed again
  6. Can anyone play f-ing defense on this team? If not for 3 turnovers, Pats would have 35 already.
  7. I know that the cupboard is completely bare on offense, but this team needs a lot of help on defense, too.
  8. Run for the bus. This team is an absolute mess.
  9. His experience was on defense and he chose to trade down and acquire more picks as many here always want -AND- he picked a cornerstone player in Tre White. Have some patience, they are headed in the right direction.
  10. When your QB is making a Bazillion $ , you can’t keep many FAs.
  11. Who’s scouting reports was McDermott working with? Great idea, let’s bet on a QB who was scouted by the scouts and GM who were going to be fired after the draft. At least McDermott had a frame of reference in assessing defensive players.
  12. Not worth the time to respond to this, BUT: This team was a VERY under-talented group when he arrived. They have improved the talent-level in the two years that he has been here and they could not fix everything in that time. i have no problem with them trying to stabilize the defense first - especially given that the GM Beane wasn’t even aboard for the draft in 2017. I understand that it is frustrating that Watson and Mahomes both look good, so far, but would you really want a lame-duck GM to draft your QB?
  13. Both: poor pass on the run, but still should have been caught. He made a great play to get away, but needed to take the time that he bought to make a semi-accurate throw. Clay was WIDE open and, yes, Allen was running the other direction, but if he’d have set his feet, he could have made a very good throw. i *hope* that this is a hangover from playing on a very under-talented Wyoming team (and a bottom 5 NFL offense), but he NEEDS to clean up the ducks he is throwing. Some of that will come if they can put a good OL in front of him and some will come with good NFL receivers, but he can’t have 10% ducks and succeed in the league.
  14. Agreed, I see it the same way.
  15. Yes, true. I’m not an Allen hater, but too many balls came out as ducks. i choose to believe that this is because the OL isn’t giving him adequate blocking and that the Receivers are not helping and that he is throwing on poor down and distances, but there are an alarming number of wounded ducks coming out of his hand.
  16. Was a great catch by Stills - took it away from defender
  17. Great! Those are the quick passes that were missing
  18. There another quick pass, but negated by penalty
  19. The out patterns were called liberally with Peterman who di not have the arm to throw them, Allen certainly has the arm, but they are never called
  20. Need a few quick outs to gain confidence
