  1. Wilson appears to have taken the lead in Mobile, and as you may or may not know, at the Sr. Bowl, practice and interviews are more important than the actual game http://www.arrowhead...ce-update-day-2 or this one http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/Bills-Roundup-Buffalo-Goes-Deep-With-QB-Prospects/dc987bcb-4ba2-433f-942d-59839da3fd2a
  2. Im all aboard the Wilson train at this point. There's alot to like about him as a QB, most notably the toughness and demeanor, he just has the look of a guy that won't quit. Skill wise, and I said this in another thread, he doesn't do anything that will WOW you, but he can do everything well, and make every throw, including the downfield stuff with accuracy. I am very much looking forward to charting his progress this week in Mobile and going forward.
  3. Well, its about where the scouting team (with Nix at the top) has set their players rankings, both at individual positions and overall. They look at need, and overall talent/ranking, where that player fits into what WE are doing. for example, lets say that Werner, is the top ranked Dlineman on our board, and the #3 player overall, if he were to slip to #8, and it were a choice between him or say Geno Smith. That would be a Spirited discussion, if Smith is our top ranked Qb but, lets say the 21st overall prospect on our board. based on how LAST yrs draft worked out, Im inclined to think that Nix & Co. will stay put and hope their guy falls to them. IMO, i think they will target, ILB, QB, WR and CB first, either in FA or the draft.
  4. The answer to that is perceived value. If our collective braintrust believes that we can get an impact player at #8 AND get our targeted QB @ 41 then we do it that way. However, if not, then try and trade back, maximize your value. If all that fails, take your QB @ 8.
  5. But he would, conceivably, have significant input attesting to the Talents of someone else (Nassib) IMO, once the scouts get a chance to see a guy like Wilson up close and In person then Nassib will be an afterthought
  6. Agreed. Wilson is, for my money, the best this class has to offer, in terms of all around game. He doesn't do anything that will AMAZE you, hence he's not a 1st rd guy, but he does everything well, and is tough as nails. Very Kelly-esque IMO
  7. How bout when he led his team to victory over Rutgers in the Snow? Did he suck then? BTW, could you possibly come up with any more ****ty black QBs to compare him to? how bout Jamarcus, Aaron Brooks, Mcpherson, you forgot about them...
  8. He. Mentions a height issue with wilson (listed at 6'3) but not Nassib (6'2), weird...
  9. Somebody smart will draft him, let him rehab with the best drs, and he will be a Major contributor once he is healthy. We should look into drafting him in the 4th/5th rd.
  10. I would wager that there are some people who would argue for those guys to stay. plus, what about Tomlin, for example, his team underperformed, so does he get fired too, or does he get a black pass?
  11. This whole thing is treading in some very dangerous water...
  12. Did you know that the SEC is NOT the conference from which Nix has drafted from the most?
  13. I'd love to have Geno Smith in a Bills Uni, but if he is gone, or the new collective brain trust passes on him, then the 2nd choice for me is Tyler Wilson. Wilson, IMO has all the physical tools, maturity and experience to come in and play well relatively soon. He faced top level competition while under center @ Arkansas, put up very good numbers, displayed nice touch and accuracy on deep routes & has displayed toughness and battled through injury and adversity.
  14. Exactly, Clowney has the talent and ability to break every record on the books for dlineman. He's THAT good. if we have a shot at him or Manziel, its an easy choice, Clowney is the pick hands down.
  15. Why not at least reach out to Jennings, a proven commodity, instead of rolling the dice on whether or not a draft pick will develop. We have plenty of cap space to make a qualifying offer.
  16. http://www.nfl.com/videos/auto/0ap2000000089114/Scout-s-take-Top-QB-prospects Bucky Brooks.....FWIW
  17. How many bad weather games like that bowl game have we had recently? Btw, check his game vs Rutgers in the snow.
  18. http://youtu.be/FDt6saeTxHM This video gives you a wider sample of throws.
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDt6saeTxHM try this out, As Ive said, I get to see a lot of SEC games, and this kid does indeed have a nice deep ball. I counted at least 5 passes where the ball travel 45 yds or more in the air and hits the WR in stride.
