  1. There should be interest on our part, a big , Young red zone threat like Barden who should come relatively cheap.
  2. A 1 yr wonder de with a quick 1st step.... how could that go wrong
  3. Tyler Wilson is our Guy, I think when it's all said and done it will make sense.
  4. Either way, as long as its not Buffalo that's great news for us.
  5. Im going to try to get to the Tampa and New Orleans games.
  6. As hard as this is to say, Brady is the best qb of this generation. That's not a system qb. He hes evolved as a passer over yhe course of his career, going on 13 yrs, and while it is valid to harken back to cassell, remember that NE missed the playoffs that yr. If it were all the system they wouldve gone further, right? A side note also, I get why ppl here hate Brady, but if you forget the team he plays for and look at his story, it's really something. Unhearlded propect goes from cast aside scout teamer to hall of famer, come on, you can't write this stuff. Add in the attitude, the playboy rep, supermodel wives/girlfriend's, and the tuck rule/brady rule/spygate stuff. It's an unbelievable story.
  7. Couple things, Brady and Manning are not system QBs And marrone said the playbook was 80% done, not the system. Then take into account what Whaley said they are looking for at the position.
  8. Austin IS a WR, not RB. Nix is on record in reference to what he wants in an outside wr, Dobson seems to be exectly what we are looking for. Good 2nd level burst body control, high point ability, good route tree/running. Most importantly the value if he were to last into rd 3 would be too much to pass up
  9. I firmly believe that Austin and his Teammate Bailey will be 2 of the best WRs in this draft. However, Im not sure either will be targets for Buffalo considering that we Know Nix wants a tall guy that can high point the ball. IMO Aaron dobson, from cross state rival Marshall is the guy to watch. 6-3 205, projected to run in the high 4.3's low 4.4's, good route runner. He could be the target with our 2nd or 3rd rd pick, and would make a great addition to Stevie and TJ.
  10. Id roll with Mccoy for the league minimum, he's a good fit for the spread-WCO hybrid that Marrone/Hackett will be implementing.
  11. I'm interested in the WR's, specifically Dobson (Marshall), and the WVU guys Austin and Bailey
  12. If by relatively healthy you mean coming off a major shoulder injury that left enough question marks for the dolphins to take Culpepper over Brees than yeah he was relatively healthy.
  13. The late game turnover has become a staple of Fitz's tenure in Buffalo, I know it's a running joke in my household. What Metz said in reference to fitz shouldn't come as a surprise. I doubt he will be the starting qb come opening day.
  14. Ill Throw these 2 kids names into the hat.... Aaron Dobson and Stedman Bailey " He looks a lot like a poor man's version of A.J. Green coming out of Georgia except that he lacks Green's explosiveness and top end play-making speed. He is a legitimate No. 1 WR prospect for the NFL level." http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/college_player_scouting_report.html&player=42242 http://nflsfuture.com/2013/02/12/stedman-bailey-scouting-report/
  15. Yeah, brady and Elway, and Rodgers are a bunch of loser pussies!!!! Good argument
  16. leading up to the draft Rodgers had a few questions about his game, and was far from a finished product. It took him several yrs of watching, coaching, and practice before he became the player he is today.
  17. you thought he was a running qb at the beginning of the season, plus he hasnt been a 4 yr starter.
  18. Dobson from Marshall interests me. Size, speed, versatility, but a small school guy, lower profile, he should be available in the 2nd maybe even 3rd.
  19. Actually, I don't think the Top 10 is an easy pick at all, there's alot of time b/t now and draft day. Ogletree, for example, could fall due to the DUI. Smith could fall to us @ 8. As far as patterson goes, why grab him at 8 when we could grab Dobson from Marshall in rd 2-3?
  20. I still have Smith and Wilson as the top 2 Qbs in this draft, and i'd be happy with either.
  21. There is NOTHING the NFL can do about it. 3 yrs removed from HS, that the rule. It says nothing about what he does or where he plays for those 3 yrs. As long as CFL rules allow him to play then he can go to Canada for 1 yr, then sign a UFA deal with ANY NFL team.
  22. "Open Competition"...Meaning fitz and tjax are competing for a 8 game season. Whoever "wins" the battle will be our starter for 8 games, then our young draftpick (Geno, Wilson, ETC) will be handed the reigns. My money is on TJax, he will be consistent, and underwhelming, but will be a safer play than the "gunslinger" fitz.
