I agree with this completely, and would go so far as to say the Supreme Court decisions that allow for laws prohibiting private discrimination are a usurpation of the constitution and I really don't think there's much of a counterargument.

I agree. I never liked Incognito in the first place, but this "bullying" business and its severity is based solely on Martin's reaction. It's as though it's wholly inconceivable that Martin may have been overly sensitive, and that his meltdown may have been unforseeable. IMO, the harsh backlash is due to a combination of 1. people projecting the image of their own tormentors onto Incognito, and 2. people that love an opportunity to show their moral superiority (See every Michael Sam thread ever).

For me, I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt because I thought the offense maintained better than expected production through the QB carousel, and I saw a lot of plays where there was opportunity for success and failure was due to a player or players. That said, I don't claim he's great, but I thought, especially based on being a rookie OC, he performed as well as could be expected given the circumstances. Moreover, I find the Hackett bashing annoying because for every knowledgeable poster who has a reasonable basis for ripping on him there are 10 morons who have no idea what they're talking about. 90% of the guys that whine about play-calling don't know what plays are being called, what blocks are being missed, and what open receivers aren't being thrown to. They just know we didn't score and that makes them sad.

I think we put way too much weight on the raw INT number, as though they're all equal. A 40 yd bomb that gets picked (barring a big return) isn't a whole lot different from a punt, but on the stat sheet it's the same as a pick 6 at the LOS.

I think it may be unfair to put too much blame on the parents, depending on their experience with guns. Anyone who's ever shot a 9mm should know better. But if these ass holes just know what they've seen on TV and this was a new experience for them, I can at least kinda see how they'd trust that the supposed expert had it under control.
