No. The Casino could turn it over to whoever it likes. Grand jury proceedings are confidential but the evidence does not become protected from disclosure by a third party in possession of such evidence just because it was presented to a grand jury. Edit: To expound upon that, just because the prosecution had the tape (if they even did; I haven't heard one way or the other) wouldn't necessarily mean the league had access to it.

Can We Listen To Bon Jovi Music Again?
Rob's House replied to Gisele's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. Don McLean sand American Pie. You're thinking of Don Henley. -

I tend to agree. Not sure what the exact # cutoff should be, but if a topic already has 300 or so replies I'd usually rather not wade through all that. -
Setting up the Global Warming lies to come

Gatorman had a small room to cool and it didn't have a window so he put a refrigerator in it and opened the door. He's still trying to figure out why the room temperature doesn't drop. -

Bush vs Obama: Who's Worse?
Rob's House replied to Dorkington's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And that's with Obama having the advantage of the mass media PR spin machine carrying his water. -
By the time I read Hitler's tweet I was already about 90% sure the Bills were staying, but I thought his taunting the fan base like that was !@#$ing hilarious. Normally I might not think so, but Buffalo fans were pretty nasty to him. When I read his tweet with the big LOL on the end I about laughed my ads off just picturing him typing it. I still get a chuckle thinking about it. If the Bills had moved it wouldn't have been funny, but they didn't so it is.

Can We Listen To Bon Jovi Music Again?

If I were an opposing team hosting the Bills, Bon Jovi would be 90% of my stadium playlist that day. -
Bon Jovi Ban Duration Poll
Rob's House replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I recall seeing Bon Jovi on TV a few years back admitting (sheepishly, like a shy school girl) that he had a man crush on Obama. -
Setting up the Global Warming lies to come
Rob's House replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
But if you think about how much air conditioning has increased over the last 20 year's it should have the net effect of slightly reducing surface temperatures. The fact that the temperature has stayed the same is proof of Global Warming. -
Mitt Romney Might Give It Another Go!
Rob's House replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The hypocrisy here is so thick you could cut it with a chainsaw. Unless of course you believe there's something sinister and/or humiliating in Obama's college transcripts. Why won't he release them? Or is that somehow different? -

Fred Jackson is the kind of guy who brings people together. He's the one thing Republicans & Democrats, Jews & Muslims, gays & straights, retards and geniuses, and Birddog and DC Tom can all agree on. Fred Jackson is the man. They sandblast you when they're finished so you'll have to go home to wash it out. It's just a convenient way to get you to go away.

What is the right reason? (I'm being a bit rhetorical with that). The reality is that the only reason they're dishing out any penalty at all is because of image. You may think it should be about whatever your sense of justice is, but as we've stated before, the societal mechanism to punish behavior is the court system. The only reason businesses have these kinds of policies is to protect their business interests. In this case they need to act as though they are doing something to battle domestic violence, (as though football has anything to do with domestic violence) to appease fans in order to avoid harming their brand (i.e. profitability), If they were doing it for some other reason, like some kind of activism, I would argue THAT was the wrong reason. Put differently, it's not an employer's responsibility or even place to police the morality of its employees. It is the employer's responsibility and place to protect its interests.

Bon Jovi Ban Duration Poll
Rob's House replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This one was even worse. It was supposed to sound gritty but it's Bon Jovi, and he's singing about how he's no longer here to play and now intends to live his life EVERY day. -
Bon Jovi Ban Duration Poll
Rob's House replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do any of you remember when they put that try hard Bon Jovi song off his mid-life crisis album on the Madden soundtrack? That was agonizing. And I agree with Gugny about AGs. -
Bon Jovi Ban Duration Poll
Rob's House replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think it's Mr. Rags, but rather Mr. AGs. Like the mouse. Speaking of JBJ, In the summer after 4th grade I was in a movie theater with a friend and we got into a bit of a **** talking alterations with two rising 6th graders. They asked what kind of music we listened to. Thinking of the band least likely to draw ridicule I said Beastie Boys. They giggled as though I'd said Raffi, so I asked what they liked. With great condescension and an unmistakable sense of pride and satisfaction one of them replied "Bon Jovi." I sometimes wonder if those guys remember that. -
I get what you're saying. It's not that I'm troubled by Rice getting canned. I have a problem with the public expectation that the NFL be the arbiter of justice, and also the way the NFL put themselves in this position through years of policies that I've disagreed with. If the NFL didn't make a habit of policing private acts of players it wouldn't have a PR nightmare here. People would blame the team rather than the league, and any team that wanted to carry Rice on its roster would have to weigh the impact it would have on public perception. But the league has inserted itself into that role and now the public looks to them to punish all acts that anger the public. And the new domestic abuse policy is just plain bad IMO.
