  1. He did come from USC. Can you think of anyone in LA who isn't a kitty?
  2. When Fred starts talking Kiko gets quiet.
  3. I'll wait til at least after the bye to vote, but I've gone from being dead set against it to leaning in favor of it.
  4. When I made my "this message is hidden" post I had to temporarily ignore someone to see what the ignore message was and I realized I did have one person on my ignore list. Next to his name it said "banned". I've only been banned once, and that was for less than a month. Unless you count the 24 hour timeout I got once. Sometimes I just take a break from the board.
  5. Also, Marrone may have accepted that 3rd down holding call.
  6. You've got some balls showing your face in this thread after your joke comparing Eric Pears to Ebola. Tasteless. Just tasteless.
  7. This is an OUTRAGE!!! He should be drawn and quartered after being shot and set on fire.
  8. It's not him, it's the play calling.
  9. No doubt. It's a rare man that can rock a pornstache like Orton.
  10. If that's him he looks like he may have some kind of mental deficiency. Otherwise I say we strap his feet to the floor and have Dan Carpenter kick him square in the nuts.
  11. I'll tell him you just cheap shotted Kyle Orton, then you best keep on the balls of your feet. And just to clarify, I was illustrating how silly the "say it to his face" thing is when talking about football ability.
  12. Nothing invites the snide remarks like tearing down other players to make the guy you're crushing on look better.
  13. Bet you wouldn't say that to their faces.
  14. I guess it would depend on what you mean by "excuse". If you're analyzing a guy's performance with an eye toward how well he projects going forward relative to another guy then it's pertinent information. I can't really think of a context where it wouldn't be. Edit: You're basically saying he wasn't rusty because he could have signed earlier. And I'll reiterate an earlier point, he doesn't need an "excuse". We won the game. The bust he replaced is the one who's needed all the excuses.
  15. I'm not sure what your point is. Does it being his choice somehow make that reality less true?
  16. His second to last NFL start was a playoff win against the Steelers where he threw for over 300 yds. Other teams getting film was not his downfall.
  17. Sorry dude, but you just lost $200. Huh?
  18. You're being pretty selective in your criteria. You give him credit for his experience but discount the fact that he's had all of a month to get acclimated. By contrast, you cite EJ'S lack of experience, but you discount the fact that this is his second year in this offense and that he had all summer and preseason to get in rhythm with his receivers.
  19. Sure thing. And thanks.
  20. To be fair, most of what Barbarian takes flack for (other than the infamous Mario for Skelton thread) is giving his opinion of college players, which is pretty f'n hard to project. If everyone here did that they'd all be wrong a lot too. Doug Whaley isn't the only person who whiffs on QB prospects.
  21. That's a cool customer right there.
  22. The big difference is that with Orton they were playing to win. With EJ they were playing not to lose.
  23. That's just it. We won. First 300 yd passer under Marrone. First win after being down 10 under Marrone. He doesn't need any excuses. The guy riding the pine does.
  24. Not sure if you watched the game, but the fact that the Bills won doesn't mean the officiating wasn't absolute ****. Two calls today could have cost the Bills the game. And I'm not talking about bang bang plays that create understandable mistakes. That bogus holding call on Gilmore was inexcusable. It was effectively a turnover 5 minutes before half time. It could have led to a Det score and it gave us a rushed possession at the end of the half which may have actually cost us points. If we give the refs a pass because ? why should the league care?
