  1. If you'd told me at this time last year that we were going to end up with Cyril Richardson, Seantrel Henderson, AND Cyrus Kouandjio I'd have thought we were set for years. Hopefully it's just growing pains but it's very discouraging.
  2. If I thought he would help us win I'd be okay with it. He'll have done his time. I don't wan him because he looked like raw **** last year.
  3. I hate it. I've wanted a big power back since McGhee left, we finally get one, and he has the dumbest !@#$ing name in the NFL.
  4. Animosity toward Hogan boggles my mind. A guy we got for nothing and had no expectations of is starting to make plays and people have a problem with that? I don't get it. I think half you guys could win the lottery and find a way to complain about it.
  5. That last drive must have been a heart breaker for you.
  6. I feel like my dog just died.
  7. One could argue that OP used a lot of text to say he doesn't approve of "Peers" at OG.
  8. I think Johnny's the one laughing now. That system's not so hot without him.
  9. I still don't get it. This is going to be the best RB draft in years and now we're not in a position to take one.
  10. He's the most intriguing one to me. I haven't gotten to watch much of him but from what I've seen he's got a rocket arm and great deep ball accuracy. I'd like to see how he handles pressure.
  11. To add insult to injury, he's behind a guy named Boobie on the depth chart.
  12. I didn't say he was good in the 80s, although teams choosing not to make a diminutive unconventional QB the face of the franchise doesn't tell me he sucks. And saying he sucks b/c SD didn't commit to him long term at 40 years old is just !@#$ing stupid. They brought him in at 39 years old to be a stop gap so Breed could sit for a year and that's what he did. And did you really count not supplanting Tom Brady as the future of NE when he was in his 40s? Really? So your argument really is that he sucks because his career didn't take off when he first entered the NFL and Ralph Wilson had a little boner for Rob Johnson. Real compelling stuff you got there. I'm sure your Duke law professors would be proud. According to your logic Kurt Warner narrowly escaped your criteria by latching on in AZ for the last few years of his career.
  13. You just turned me with two sentences. Respek.
  14. Console myself with the realization that Bills fans who trash Flutie are deservedly stuck living through another year of the curse.
  15. That's a right circular argument you got there. And if you're Using SD as an example your agenda's pretty clear.
  16. If you've got any other myths or inaccuracies I've cited other than back ups in the Colts game let me know. Otherwise all you're really doing is talking **** and it's growing tiresome.
  17. My point was that Flutie was a good QB for the Bills. I wasn't even talking about RJ. That Colts game was mentioned as an aside. I don't need to argue that RJ sucked. History already proved me right on that one. Sorry you're still butt hurt over it.
  18. I didn't realize Manning, James, and Harrison played defense. Not that this was a cornerstone of any point I was making, but thanks for clearing that up.
  19. If the anti-Flutie crowd had anything other than unsubstantiated talking points they wouldn't keep making reference to individual games. Well he was no EJ Manuel, I give you that, but he somehow managed to get wins where others couldn't.
  20. Using games played gives you a 2:1 ratio. When judging sack rate you get a more accurate ratio comparing drop backs, in which case the ratio is 3:2. Orton has still taken more sacks, but the disparity is less.
  21. I know he was limited. I'm not suggesting he was elite or even great. But he was good at playing NFL QB. That is if we're judging good by how much the QB improves his team's chance at winning, and he was great for that team at that time. A lot of QBs that I'm sure most of you would hold in much higher esteem would probably not have been as effective on that team. I think his running/escapability and the value it added to that team, a defensive team with one of the worst O-lines I've ever seen, is greatly underappreciated. And it is ancient history, but to see this coming from Bills fans grates on me no end. I'd bet if we had 1998 Doug Flutie on this team we'd be 5-1 right now.
  22. You can disagree. I already said the "no question" part was an overstatement. You can make a reasonable argument for Bledsoe too, especially if you factor in his NE days. Generally you provide some evidence before dismissing an issue.
  23. Well, you're batting .333, but that's enough to lead the league some years. I'd also like to point out that the Bills running game wasn't much during that time either. Decent power running, but below average overall. Then how do you explain him winning 6 of his last 8 before being replaced?
