I still follow the Bills, but NFL football, including the Bills, means far less to me than it has in years. I always said I allow football to be as important to me as I want it to be because it makes it more fun. Honestly, this season hasn't been much fun. It's had its moments, but losing today to a sorry team when a win would likely set up an opportunity where a win gets you into the playoffs is the perfect microcosm of this season. They keep getting into a position where you are fooled into thinking maybe they don't suck ass this year, then every time they've had the opportunity to get a big win over a key opponent to give them a leg up in the playoff hunt they've **** the bed. That's not fun to me. I preferred the 4-12 season where you knew early on the team wasn't going to the playoffs, but you watched them progress throughout the year and had reason to think maybe they could be good next year. This year was like a series of opportunities to hook up with a really hot girl and every time you think you're about to score she goes and !@#$s some other guy instead. I'll still keep tabs on the Bills and watch the games when I can, but I understand how OP feels. There comes a point when cheering for losers who choke in every big game stops being fun. Why subject yourself to something that only makes you unhappy?

I never really got the big deal about the Exorcist. Maybe it's because I was in my teens when I saw it, but I thought it was about as unimaginative a script as you could come by. There's just not much going on. Girl gets possessed by a demon, acts demonic, priests come in and read prayers, demon freaks out, demon gets exorcised, the end. Not much to it.

I haven't seen anything from Hammer since The Adams Family. Glad to hear he's still getting around.

Nightmare on Elm Street 3 creeped me out pretty bad. It'd probably be good for a chuckle now.

I checked in before the Philly game and thought it was in the bag. I had Philly's QB & RB (& #2 WR), so I was sure I'd at least get some TDS. Then their b/u RB vultures 2 TDS. WTF?

I don't expect any deniers to have a substantive answer for that one. -
Orton Being Underappreciated Again with Bills

Orton sucked almost as hard as Aaron Rogers yesterday. -
Even in times of retardation you still bring the smug like a champ.

Saw another example of liberalism working its way into apolitical shows. Season 3 of American Horror story had the witch hunters (bad guys) mention how the liberals were trying to shut them down. It wouldn't be a big deal except these subtle jabs favor the libs damn near 100% of the time. That, of course, is after Jessica Lange tells us she voted for Obama twice. On a less political but unintentionally hilarious moment, she, who is otherwise fine with murder & torture, expresses just how disgusted she is with racists (impliedly defined as racist against blacks). It seems clear that we're supposed to agree. -
You're either trolling or you're an absolute fu©king moron.

Econ 101 a little over your head?

I don't know how you don't get this. Brand is protesting the rent in the area increasing as a result of the landlords renting units to rich people for a higher price. Brand is one of those rich people in the area paying the higher rent and driving up the price. He's protesting himself. To your ridiculous hypothetical, it would be more like if you showed up at an anti-racism event wearing a Klan robe. It's not that complicated. Conner could probably explain it to you (if we told him Brand was a Republican). Beat me to it.

You must take yoga. I couldn't possibly stretch that far. -
It's kind of like Michael Moore protesting gluttony.

Raise The Gas Tax
Rob's House replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The only reason the Feds don't have the money to rebuild the nation's infrastructure many times over is because they spend over 2/3 of the budget paying other people's bills. It'd be like my wife running around spending tens of thousands of dollars on questionable charities, then telling me to get a part time job to pay for around the house maintenance. -
KC was bad but for me Miami was the worst. Hosed multiple times late with the game still within reach and it was the one that effectively, for all intensive purposes, took us out of the playoff hunt.

I quit watching after the Dolphins game, not so much in protest, but because I was tired of voluntarily doing things that pIss me off. I decided to watch this game and immediately started to regret it. !@#$ the refs and !@#$ the NFL.

Bears may trade Cutler in offseason...
Rob's House replied to RCOHEN13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not a big stats guy so take it FWIW, but statistically he's on pace for a pretty good season. INTs are a little high, but pretty good overall. Of course, Orton's stats aren't half bad either. Depending on how each guy does down the stretch (mostly looking to see if Orton fades or picks it up) he may be worth looking into. -
Top 10 Impending Free Agents

Why the emphatic no on Hardy? Is it just because he's got a DV charge or is there more to it? From what I understand he's a very effective DE. -
Official Pre-Game Thread: Week 14, Bills at Broncos

I'm really looking forward to this. I love being huge underdogs because if you lose it's no big deal but if you win it's amazing. For some reason I feel like Flo Rida today - I have a good feeling. -
The Demise of the Running Quarterback?
Rob's House replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can make excuses if it makes you feel better, but at that time all 3 teams you mentioned thought they had their franchise guy. The Bills did not. Shaub and Sanchise were both extended right around that time and Freeman was thought to be the steal of the 2009 draft. Saying teams that thought they had their franchise QB passing on a guy = teams with a great big ? at QB passing on the same guy just doesn't compute. Especially when half the teams didn't even have a chance to pass on him in the 3rd like the Bills did. -
