  1. I meant he outplayed McNabb (who was his replacement in Washington).
  2. Washington traded Philly a 1st for McNabb and shipped Campbell off to Oakland where he outplayed his replacement. He's got decent talent but he's not clutch.
  3. If Gurley's there you still take him, and run 3 RB sets with Fred Jackson taking snaps instead of a QB.
  4. I'd rather have Bradham. He's more well rounded, stronger, healthier, and likely to re-sign for less When his time comes, and he doesn't want to bale on his team. He also doesn't appear to suffer from severe brain damage or have a Shakira haircut.
  5. The more I think about it the more I like it for a number of reasons: 1. Kiko was a liability against the run. He flew all over the field, but he overpersued a lot and got plowed by blockers. Notice how much better the run D was w/o Kiko and Byrd? 2. We thought he was awesome because of all those INTs but it seems they were a fluke as they disappeared in the second half. 3. McCoy's the kind of talent that makes a difference. 4. This pissed off the "RBs are a dime a dozen" crowd. 5. Kiko didn't want to be here, even after the fan base made him a legend. 6. F×ck Kiko Alonso.
  6. I wish to God someone had run this poll yesterday. I'm ok with it but I'd bet damn near anything 80+% would have been opposed.
  7. He did fine. He was buried on the depth chart of a run first team with Collin Kaepernick throwing him the ball. He was more productive on a per snap basis than Crabtree was. I'm guessing most would take Crabtree over Brown.
  8. He doesn't get much credit from me for turning SJ into Bryce Brown.
  9. And they're both full of insufferable yankees, so I guess you have a point.
  10. No, you have to be negative about everything. Rex, Whaley, and Pegula have run this team into the ground for the last 15 years and you're going to stand here and agree with them on something? Ho-mer!
  11. Any time. It was directed at OP and the other guy, but there's enough to go around. People that don't understand that different RBs have different skill sets that are valuable in different situations have little to contribute, and when they combine their ignorance with arrogance they deserve to be ridiculed. As far as running in quicksand, he was still very effective prior to his injury. As of now he's still our best blocking and best receiving RB on the roster by a wide margin. If he's cut we currently lose both of those elements.
  12. Can't really blame him. He finds out he's being moved from a winning franchise in a great city (so I'm told) to move to the frozen sub-Canadian tundra of Buffalo where he can join the team that claims the NFL's longest active playoff drought. And he's gotta face Fred Jackson who doesn't too much care for him.
  13. Out of curiosity, if Moore outplayed EJ in camp and pre-season would you still want him to be the back up?
  14. You're dealing with box score analysts. What you're discussing is beyond their comprehension.
  15. That does make me feel a lot better about it.
  16. It's confusing too because McCoy isn't really a power runner.
  17. OP ought to be ashamed of himself for this thread. He's either trolling or of a character I'd never choose to associate with - actually, the latter is true either way. It's more likely that this is the end of CJ. McCoy's more of a scat back than a bruiser and he's not much of a receiving threat.
  18. I assume I should give the FO the benefit of the doubt, but right now it doesn't make sense to me. I think McCoy could add more this year, but he also brings a huge cap hit and a shorter career span.
  19. I'm okay with all of this, depending on the circumstances and how the holes that creates are filled. Every one of those guys has a good shot of getting a contract worth a lot more than his value to the Bills would justify. If we throw an extra million or three annually above estimated value on to the contracts of every FA we'd like to keep we won't be able to sign core players like Gilmore, Glen, etc. when their time comes. And if the right RB is available at 50 then so be it. I swear, some of you talk about a mid second rounder like it was a top 10 pick.
  20. What's your problem? Is a white sounding quarterback really so much to ask for?
  21. I really can't say because it's too early to know and the answer is too nuanced.
  22. If we had a top 10 pick with a promising QB prospect sitting there I'd look elsewhere too.
  23. Whatever picks were used in the past should be irrelevant to the analysis. If they believe taking a player at a particular point optimizes their chance for success it would be foolish to take someone who gives you a less optimal chance for team success based on the expenditure of a resource they can't get back.
