  1. I don't think it's so much a moral high horse as it is a concern for problems he might cause. It's a legitimate cause for concern when 3 teams in 2 years get rid of a player with his talent.
  2. I doubt he commands all that high of a salary at this point.
  3. I just hope this isn't another tease. First we miss out on Lupati, then Bugala sticks with the cheese; I don't know if I could handle it if we whiff on Bowling too.
  4. Not all, but when multiple unrelated coaches think a guy is good I think there might be something to it.
  5. He was hurting the other linemen's selves of steam.
  6. I don't like him, but if Rex wants him after coaching him last year then I'm okay with it.
  7. Because Chucky was a better coach. I don't think the point is that he didn't win a National Championship so much as it is that his replacement did with mostly the same team the following year. And no offense, but this project thing is bull ****. The only recent first round project I can recall in recent memory was Tannehill who converted from WR to QB half way through college.
  8. I know some of you guys know more about this stuff than I do, but I have to believe a guy who was valued by 2 separate coaching regimes here, and apparently a 3rd now in Oakland, doesn't suck.
  9. Sports is entertainment. Cutting a fan favorite who is still productive and whose cost is relatively low is bad business. Plus, does anyone honestly believe keeping Fredex for one more year will cost us wins?
  10. It's Christmas in March.
  11. If the numbers reported are accurate it's a hell of a lot of guaranteed money for a CB his age, but with him this defense could be in the best of all time conversation.
  12. Can't be. I learned on TBD that the cap doesn't matter.
  13. So if I follow the logic, a QB needs 3 years as the unquestioned starter before you have any idea how he'll turn out unless he looks bad in his first Start, in which case you know he sucks and are wise to move on?
  14. I thought If he were traded the new team would only take a cap hit of around $13m (which seems reasonable to me). Is that wrong?
  15. I don't get the "restructure" bit. He's in the last year of his contract. What is there to restructure?
  16. I had my heart set on a Lupati jersey.
  17. I was thinking of whether we had a fighter in the locker room who could whip his ass if he got out of line, then it hit me: We've got Ritchie Incognito. Of course, watch the two of them become bosom buddies.
  18. Taunted a bunch of Bills fans about their favorite player getting cut.
  19. I'll admit I didn't watch all-22 video this past season, but the season before I found his blocking to be well above average. Perhaps it says more about my evaluation than anything, but it appeared to me that he was a more powerful blocker and did a better job picking up his blocking assignments than most of the TEs I watched.
  20. The only legitimate knock on the guy was that he took too many penalties. He's a very good blocking TE, but that doesn't show up on the stat sheet, so he sucks.
  21. Take away Spillers 53 yarder and Titties' big run in the Chicago game (that contributed nothing) and they're in the same boat. Prior to his injury he was arguably the best player on offense. He'd pick up 3 on first down where Spiller would get -1 and he was great in the receiving game. It wasn't the stuff MVP seasons and highlight reels are made of, but it was the stuff that helps win games.
  22. Some people are jeally because they don't have any sources so it makes them feel better to put down or disbelieve those who do.
  23. If true, I heart Pegula.
  24. By taking 30 seconds to show support for a player? It doesn't take that much investment. FYI, Fred is the conservative's RB candidate. Powell is the candidate of the liberals.
