heck, I’m good with going to the AFCCG... but they need to win the division and win in the playoffs this year, realistically. once on those big stages there’s some luck but over 16 they need to win the division regardless and should win a home playoff game from there.

May have additionally had pupil issues etc... I’d assume that if close to on the fence many end up “failing” to get a blood draw out of it.

To be fair, I’d think your friend made a dumb choice too. Doesn’t make him a terrible person and I haven’t shredded his character.... but not having an open beer can on you while driving is a pretty low threshold of decision making prowess. short of “the cops made the whole thing up” we are just debating how big the lapse in judgement was, not whether one was made.

doesn’t add up because you likely wrote the equation wrong. while there are almost certainly a few racist owners in sports that consciously think a black guy can run fast but not be a thought leader.... more commonly would likely be the guy that handed the same resume is more prone to subconsciously rate the one he relates to a bit higher, and identifying racially is a way that can happen. neither of those types of situations see an owner passing on a guy they think will win more, and one isn’t even particularly nefarious.... but could be a legit road block.

If he’s “the guy” then they get a few years cheap which makes you an immediate contender and then another 10-15 for a window after. i don’t think loves the guy but... if he is, hitting on that gets them closer than a WR would

if you trace the players/coaches involved or that made comments about it being normal - nearly every team in the league had some tie to a “big hit pool” type of system. a bounty to pay for a dirty hit with intent to injure is a far stretch from all the defenders throwing in “fines” for mistakes and getting payouts for the biggest hits of the week though.

I’d imagine some renegotiation to keep as high as possible next year with the dips spread across the existing CBA years would be the way to approach it. players get a higher percentage in 2021 due to it but a lower share in future years.

so give the teams far more control after the players already have less ability to showcase themselves? got to give the actual players some extra ability to get to better situations for themselves - if expanding the PS make it easier not harder to move teams

he’s carried the ball about 1,000 times. As a qv you don’t do that without having some heart. sure he’s got an ego. Sure I don’t enjoy his personality. Sure I think despite being a generational specimen he’s not always 100% plugged in but you don’t do what he’s done without some heart.
