Josh Allen Fined for the Taunting Penalty
strive_for_five_guy replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well and the funny thing is, McD comes off as more of a hard ass coach. One of my basketball coaches in high school was a Bobby Knight fanatic. If someone took a shot that was outside of the offense and made it, he was the kind of guy that would say “good thing you made that.” And I’m pretty sure we’ve heard Sean say the same about Josh at points too. Some guys just get a little more leash than others, bc of who they are and the fact he is also scoring a TD on that play. -

First, it wasn’t me that accused you of being a troll. I appreciate that you’ve defended your position, some of the trolls don’t even offer that much. With regards to team discipline or parenting, I agree that a result of a poorly coached team can be consistent, dumb penalties. But, even when a coach or parent has done a great job trying to instill discipline, the players and kids can still do things they shouldn’t. As someone who has played and watched sports FOREVER, there are a lot of factors that go into all of this and Josh pointing at another defender is just one incident. If the player were some borderline starter, maybe McD can discipline that player by putting them on the bench next series. A lot harder to do that with their star QB though, so maybe there’s other ways McD needs to handle that. At least in this case, Josh didn’t do it again the rest of the game, so as to not get kicked out. I’ll be surprised if he does it again this season. If he does, do you think it will be because the coaches haven’t told him not to, or because he’s Josh and either deciding to do his own thing or his instincts take over? -

If Goodell is in attendance and Josh points at him during a TD run, is that allowed? -

How do you attribute Josh’s behavior to the coaches versus his own instincts and actions on the play? If your kid does something to get in trouble, is it automatically the parents’ fault? -
While not in my original buy, a premonition just came over me, which are usually correct when I’ve been drinking: Von Miller is a buy for Monday night. He’s been a ghost on the field so far - playing against his former team and having worked his way back from the ACL injury, he’s going to get at least a sack, but possibly more.

Bills vs Broncos-Monday Night Football

Between Benford, Douglas and Johnson, and wild cards Tre & Elam, I don’t think our CB situation will be that bad heading into next season. Agree that we have some things to figure out at safety, though. Hyde has likely reached the end of the line, and Poyer continues to lose a step. I’m hopeful someone else on the team currently can fill one of the starter roles, although I haven’t been impressed with Rapp’s audition. It would serve us well to find at least one new starting safety in next year’s draft. -
I doubt the three field goals he missed is contributing much to this. He’s been 3-6 in those games, NFL average can’t be better than 83%, so missing 1 out of the six is at least expected, without even accounting for distance, field conditions, etc. So at worst, he’s missed two more than expected, aka 6 points.

I assume if you play as Michigan, you’re able to steal the other team’s play calls then? -

Burrow had the ball and it was a short yardage play. Big difference versus Hyde being off-ball and blind-sided. -

That lineman get fined yet? Such a BS hit and non-call. Imagine we did that to Burrow. -

McD made sure to smack around a Peyton coached team in New Orleans on Thanksgiving a couple years ago too, so it’s gone both ways. A big difference in each game was also the QBs for each team, as Brees was on the Saints in the first and Josh on the Bills in the second. I’d say the QB difference was a bigger factor versus who was coaching each team.

I say don’t call any plays, just have complete chaos out there and Josh can decide how to best sort through it after the ball is snapped 😎

Dalton Kincaid catches everything.
strive_for_five_guy replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s going to need to catch up to LaPorta though too, although given his recent emergence in this offense, thinking Kincaid will pull that off.
