  1. Ahhhhh.... not to mention one of the beat catches of the year... lost.😭
  2. "8 wins doesn't win you the division, unless you are in the NFC East..." -JA17MVP
  3. I would've been 100 percent with you man... I just rewatched it tho. The pic is deceiving. From what I can see it was clean.
  4. The white facemasks would look sharp with this like the Dallas Game last year.
  5. I agree with both of these. I think he could be deadly watching balls out of the backfield.
  6. I remember the on against I think it was against Tenn... it was like 5-10 yards over the middle right to left. Which was the other one?
  7. Knox has on bad drop this year. Other than that his only flaw has been his availability. I'm very excited to see his second half of the year. Dude just needs to get on the field.
  8. I'll be honest I'm very critical of Edmunds... I watch every snap of him on D... I will say against the Titans I thought he played horribly. Other than that I think alot of the blame is on the Dline getting nudge out of their gap sometimes. Phillips and Zimmer would be the 5th guy in the middle on most teams. They simply haven't been very good. Edmunds can be frustrating to watch but I don't think this scheme and script is doing him any favors and he has backup DTs in front of him and Klein besides him. I think with a better supporting cast he looks like an all star... We didn't draft him for his run stopping ability tho. We drafted him for his presence in the middle in pass coverage. Hes young I'm willing to ride it out with him even tho its frustrating to watch sometimes.
  9. I will be honest... in HS I took on a 270lbs pulling guard and a full back... rb bounced outside and I drove the RB back 5 yards and made the tackle... It was probably the best play of my career.. With that being said I agree with you. That was on the first level. Its different when the lineman and 2nd player build up speed/momentum on the 2nd level. 2nd level you're done.
  10. Lol so true... bodes better for the healthy receivers.
  11. So I have Godwin and I picked AB up in Fantasy... Start both in a couple weeks?
  12. Yeah agreed. I always like watching him play with a full cast of starters.
  13. I think hes a pretty good tackler. Imo I think he struggles more when he has to cover great distances down the field. I think in shorter distances he can use his instincts and quickness. Maybe it would be a disaster but I think it's worth a try. Hes got good hips and change of direction and instincts, I think the downfield speed is kinda tough. From games I've watched too he loves being down involved in the run defense and getting his head in there.
  14. You're right. At the very least he could provide a spark.
  15. I was thinking today, what about Josh Norman in the slot and we have Wallace/Lewis/Dane Jackson battle it out on the other side or maybe by committee.
  16. That's a fair side... I do think there is a collective subconscious element on playing to your competition and the situation of the game that lowers the urgency though. Some of that us credit to our defense too. They did do a great job against the ravens although they did give up 3 tds to Lamar alone. In that situation they're bleeding the clock to end the game too so I think the element of situation does come into play there. Cowboys game, Bills were hyped up for sure and credit they played great. Still think they played alot of bad offenses and that's why they were ranked so high... there were alot of times in 2018 and 17 when they got smoked against top offenses... Also Philly put up 30 on them.
  17. Yeah I'm good with taking the Tenn game completely out of it. I still think with the teams we still have to play we're going to take our lumps. I think one of the Pat's games will be high scoring, Miami again, Arizona, KC, Seattle... I think those all have potential to be shootouts. With the damage done already even taking the Titans game out of it I'd be pleasantly surprised if we're better than top 12. If Tua gets in there and isn't hot out the gate then that could definitely make a difference on that.
  18. Imo, I think our defense was elite relative to the teams we played last year... I think we just played alot of bad QBs/offenses last year. And in a lot of those games our offense didn't put up a lot of points so there wasn't as much urgency to score against us like there is this year. I feel like had we played tougher competition last year, our defense would have ranked more in the 10-15 range. I think we have potentially a solid defense that will get better this year... I feel like our ceiling is probably in the 12-14 range overall. And our floor is probably about 18-20 overall when it's all over with. As I reflect I think (at least for me) that was altering my perception of what this defense really was. I do think we were better than this year game for game just with a little bit younger talent that was a little more twitched up. But I still think had we played a schedule like this year we would have been more of a top 10ish team than a top 2 team.
  19. I feel like we got some decent pressure last night at times... after rewatching the game we were close several times. Tannehill just got rid of the ball quick alot... Alot of these timely penalties and third and shorts killed us. Tannehill was in favorable positions all night not having to compensate with third and long and that killed us too. Hes just a very fast processing quarterback and I give him credit. I think Edmonds is getting exposed with not having guys like Star and Phillips... Edmund's can plug those gaps when he has room and a split second to diag. the play. He doesn't have that luxury this year and is basically just taking himself out of the play. He never played MLB so he doesn't have elite MLB instincts... and this plus the penalties got us into alot of third and shorts last night. To fix this problem... this upcoming draft we need to draft two beast DTs early to fix Edmund's. I believe McBeane sees this and they will make it a priority this off season. We just have to deal with it this year, and lean on offense to carry us.
  20. Good thread and Like a Mofo... I agree. I wrote this and was looking for a good thread to post it: "I will be honest. I'm not worried about us. We beat ourselves last night. The Titans were the beneficiary of that. We just need to not beat ourselves. It sucks it happened in embarrassing fashion on primetime TV, but better to happen now then in a more crucial time." We very well could lose to the Chiefs this week too. If we do we're still 4 and 2 with alot of football left. We have a tough schedule this year and we just need to get into the playoffs. I was hoping we were that lights out invincible team and JA was the MVP. Last night showed that we aren't that yet and he isn't that yet. That doesn't mean down the road we won't be and he won't be. We're still progressing toward that and are still a darn good team. Josh was 62% and threw for 263 and 2 tds (yeah 2 ints too but for a bad night I'd say)... that is growth right there. He and this team have grown. Just have to not beat ourselves and I think Josh will further craft his game on figuring out what do to in this type of game situation and it will bode well for us in the future.
