The Jets backed off when they knew they were going to be hit with tampering. Of course then the story changed----Poor little Dougie couldn't get a long with mean Mr. Whaley & all of a sudden the Bills were labeled as dysfunctional cuz of this jack ass. I can't wait to see how things unfold with Coughlin. Doug better get out of the gate fast & win some games to gain some leverage with management because this won't be the Bills or Syracuse. Coughlin well put him through the meat grinder.

I think the new coaching staff uses more of a zone coverage scheme so I wouldn't spend too much money on him. It would be nice to get a trade offer but probably won't happen.

I used to worry about losing our stars. However, after the 17+ years we've been through. I'm more interested in getting a stable coaching regime in place. Bring in team players with a few stars & win ball games. I'm speculating that Sammy is frustrated with his time in Buffalo; I have no problem with trading him if we can get decent valuable.

Actually, that's your option & we all know the old saying about options, Wood played guard his rookie season & graded out well. He was pretty good at pulling out on running plays. Whether or not he's getting long in the tooth, I don't know. He is a lineman & they take a lot of punishment down in the pits.

Restructure Wood & keep him as a back up center & guard. He played guard his 1st yr with the Bills. If he doesn't want to restructure cut him loose & let him test the market.
