  1. I've never been interested in that true crime stuff but I have found the recent DNA catches interesting. The Golden State Killer had Bills Country connections(Bath NY). My oldest daughter had a test done..........confirmed what I was told about where everyone came from. Didn't go into potential family matches. My grandfather was married 3 times back when one divorce was scandalous so I wouldn't be surprised in the least if I had a bunch of relatives we weren't aware of.
  2. He'll be fine with the concussion.........they just gotta' get him sharp for one 3 hour game and drugs can do that. The turf toe will be the bigger issue. Limiting his mobility a bit or him being tentative stepping into a throw could make a difference on a few plays. Funny that they basically tried to keep Mahomes in bubble wrap for a month and he got a season worth of injuries(for a modern NFL QB) in one game........that's NFL football for ya'. I don't think people should underrate the toll that going very deep in the playoffs for 3 straight seasons has on a team. The Chiefs have looked tired. Maybe they get amped up now that there is a real trophy on the line.........and not that the Bills have looked mid-season sharp by any means........ but the Chiefs don't look much like the team that was in the playoffs the last two seasons.
  3. This thread is a STRETTTTTTTTTTTCH and a half. Unwanted was a starting QB/WR corps of 7th round Ryan Fitzpatrick, 6th round Stevie Johnson and undrafteds Donald Jones and David Nelson. All the current Bills were very much wanted players.........it's not like Diggs, Brown and Beasley are playing for peanuts that's about $30M in compensation right there. Davis was a second or third round talent that fell to round 4 only because the draft was incredibly deep at WR.
  4. @eball Can family business be resolved before you repent for dropping your 27 year season tickets in frustration in the offseason when McDermott was hired? This thread may need psychoanalysis. Any hot take brought up that has been or seems extinguished in this thread comes down to one thing............ the drafting and maturation of Josh Allen. The Bills don't have the best roster or cap situation in the league........sometimes they are still going to get outcoached at very inconvenient times(see two weeks ago)........players, coaches and personnel people just look A LOT smarter when they have one of the top 3 QB's in the entire league on their side. And that's what Josh Allen is right now. Why not bring up "wrong Josh"........ perhaps because you were a "wrong Josh" guy? Put this team and 2019 Josh Allen up against this schedule and the season would have been over in plenty of time for "loyal" fans to take a few games off before Xmas.🤭 As @Rico implied every time a regime changed were we subjected to someone posting something like this to call Donahoe/Greggo/Jauron/Chan/Buddy/Whaley etc.. apologists out? No. We just mocked you guys individually.😙
  5. When you already wear a gigantic flack jacket and one solid hit causes 18 breaks/fractures in your ribs you probably need to call it quits and start hocking for AARP. The past few years he has been physically gassed by the time they reached the playoffs.........this year he was so whipped it looked like he couldn't open up his body to use his core to make throws and that made him look Peterman-esque on anything over 10 yards tonight.
  6. 1) 2) Murphy was a huge disappointment but Murphy was hobbled in 2018 and their 2019 seasons including playoffs weren't very different at all. Shaq had some more pressures and TFL but Murphy forced fumbles and collected an INT and 2 fumbles. Turnovers are gold. Couting playoffs Murphy had 7 sacks and Shaq 6.5. Would you have been happy paying Shaq $11M to put up 16 tackles and 4 sacks this year? I think not. Just because one player wasn't productive at a bloated salary doesn't lower the bar of expectation.
  7. 1. Lawson wasn't a one year cap hit decision like Murphy. Shaq returned to his pre-contract run play level this year and now Miami is stuck with him for next season. 2. Not picking up his option is the only reason they got one good season out of Lawson in 2019. He was not bought in......he was basically flying to South Carolina the night after every home game to go play Wooderson on campus on his day off. The contract run got him focused. Don't know how much more clear that 3 poor seasons before he got paid and 1 immediately after he got paid can make that.
  8. The wind was hardly noticeable in the stands. It felt almost calm. The flags they show above the stadium on tv blow like crazy because they are up very high but the field itself SHOULD have been calm like the stands.......but it is just a wind vortex. It's just an oddity but the stadium has always been like that. It has to be correctable or at least be able to be minimized thru engineering. It's not good for business, ultimately.
  9. It looked a lot like the 2019 game early on.........deep balls badly over thrown. Except this time it was mostly the wind.........last year Josh couldn't hit a deep ball regardless. The conditions REALLY played into the Ravens hands but oddly enough it was not being able to snap the ball in the wind that really killed them. Mekari was losing his mind out there. He tried to adjust but nothing worked.
  10. Zimmer has been a big upgrade to Star Lotulelei.
  11. You are welcome, @Beerball. Yes I was there again @eball. Just getting up after a long night of celebrating......we got to sit in the seats directly behind our seasons and I didn't take a down off again.........the seats took a pounding. The crowd was much drunker and louder than the Indy game(not surprisingly). I'd say we were at about 80% capacity for noise per fan which is just incredible because we generally don't get close to 50% with a full crowd in a big game.........every one was into it and if you weren't making noise you would have stuck out like a sore thumb. It was a great experience and we had 6 of our group at this one so we got to celebrate a bit in the lot while we waited to leave too.......quite a scene. Weirdest thing was being the first time driving to a Bills game in the dark.........felt like we were driving the wrong direction.
  12. Gate time isn't checked you just roll in and get parked Disney style.........neither was the time of covid testing.....you could roll up whenever. You can sit in your car for as long as you'd like before the game they weren't checking that. You can get out and move around drink a bit around the vehicle if you act like you are getting ready. If you didn't get your covid test result back yet you can go to bioreference.com/get-results and set up an account and view them and use that as your proof for entry. If NYS sends you a questionaire and you fill it out it will show on the ticket takers device that you have passed your test when they scan your NYS drivers license.
  13. That you, William?
  14. I thought it was a lock that he and GM Tom Telesco would end up together. Went to HS together at St. Francis......interned together with Polian. But when Dean Spanos got involved all bets off. He might not trust Telesco. Not many organizations wouldn't trust the GM after they drafted a QB that had the best statistical season by a rookie QB ever.........but an organization that has had Brees, Rivers and now Herbert in succession might take for granted the QB position just a bit. I'd rather they kept Daboll for another season at least but if he goes maybe they fix the running game and become even better.
  15. Fichtner a very fireable name.
  16. Honest Urb's health issues only flare up when he hears the word "investigation". Pete Carroll had an aversion to that word too........in the NFL as a HC you aren't liable for what your players or coaches do so Urb shouldn't be passing out on the sideline in Jacksonville. Unless, of course, he starts losing and needs an excuse to get out and still get all of his money.
  17. You must be worried sick about Urban's health. 😨
  18. I don't know about that but the inconsistency is concerning.
  19. Trey Hendrickson is probably the better guy if you are shopping in the price category that Judon and Dupree are going to be in. I really dislike Judon. He's dirty.......he abused Allen in his first game in 2018 and I hold a grudge and hopefully Allen does too. He's also going to be 30 and never been a great finishing pass rusher. Hendrickson has the tools to be a Bryce Paup-type pass rusher. He's younger and less proven but he's got that kind of ceiling.
  20. They haven't ever been a good tackling team under McDermott........which has been one of the great oddities because they have been an efficient defense. It's possible that having an arm tackler like Edmunds as your defensive leader might set the tone but it's almost like they are taught to slow down the ball carrier and wait for help. It's frustrating to watch........but being a great solo tackling team takes a physical toll. When Xavier Rhodes took Knox down with that great solo tackle on 3rd down the other day he hurt himself.
  21. Yeah he has the physical talent but not sure he has the makeup to be great.
  22. Yes there wasn't any concern about getting too drunk or injured to watch and remember the actual game. Table jumpers be making business decisions now.
  23. Meh. If you thought he got sacked a lot this year you should have watched him the prior two seasons. He won 12 games and threw 40 TD passes with a weak supporting cast and had to play balls out every week like Josh Allen had to play against the Colts. It wasn't a sustainable formula. Other than having DK Metcalf gift wrapped for them they have drafted very, very poorly the past 5 drafts.
  24. Seemed to @YoloinOhio that Haskins was a much better QB prospect than Allen in 2018. We will see about Fields. He's clearly exceeded the Tyrod Taylor comp that he was given at Elite 11 but consistency is what separates the greats in the NFL and Fields was prone to bouts of inconsistent play. What happens when he isn't playing as the clear front runner in a watered-down conference and has to be the leader of a team that's maybe 25th best in the NFL instead of in prime time games? Does he have 3-4 games like Northwestern one in an NFL season?
  25. Harrison is part of metropolitan NYC. It's regional to Buffalo in the same very broad sense that the equidistant Manhattan is regional to Buffalo but that isn't how you were trying to spin it as a reason. I hope Pepsi is the sponsor though. And yeah I see signs all over in store windows with Pepsi using the "Billieve" slogan.
