12/22/24 GAMEDAY Week 15 Bills vs Patriots* Post GameThread
OldNMBillsFan replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills offence only scored 17 points against the New England Patriots Defense, that has giving up 24 points a game on average. Without the D touchdown, the interception and the other fumble recovery, this would have been a loss because the offence could not score against a very weak NE Defense. -

What are you talking about, he has been play well against other teams too. He had average stats against the Bills D today. Go look at his game logs on ESPN. Today was only close because Josh sucked today, it happens. Cook had a great game averaging over 9 yards a touch. I do not know why they didn't give it to him more. Go Bills!!! -

You should be banned from posting for 2 days for such an obtuse post. Where do these people come from? -
Can we give JOE Brady his kudos?

This post shows that you never even watched that game. The D was not a mess and falling apart at that time. They lost that game to Denver 22-24 even with Buffalo committing 4 turnovers that resulted in 9 of the points. After that game the Bills D was averaging giving up only 18.4 points a game, even after the offense had turned the ball over 14 times in only 10 games. Doresy was let go because the Bills running game couldn't be stopped in the game against Denver, and he refused to take advantage of that. They had 26 rushes for 192 yards averaging 7.4 yards per carry, while the passing game was 15 of 26 for 177 yards with 2 INT's while only averaging 6.8 yards per attempt. What Offensive coordinator only runs the ball 26 times while averaging 7.4 yards a carry? A coordinator who deserved to get fired. The Bronco's couldn't stop the run game, only incompletions and interceptions, caused the drives to end. He should've run the ball until Cook and Murry were puking or finally stopped. Josh Allen was not having a good day, he is human. He was 15/26, 177 yards 1 TD and 2 INTS. That to me doesn't sound like it was the Defenses fault. Turnovers and lack of taking advantage of a weak run defense was why that game was lost and ultimately leading to Dorsey's demise. -

I totally disagree. Any team that will be looking for a new head coach in the upcoming off season would love to have McDermott. He is a great coach that knows how to maximize his players abilities. Please tell me of one player that left Buffalo and was better with their new team. Do I think he could he be batter at some areas of being a head coach? absolutely. And I think he would agree. IMO he will only get better with more experience. I honestly don't know of any coach that is or will be available in the off season that would be better. Tell me, who do you think should be the Bills head Coach. -
If you try an onside kick going straight forward, rather than a diagonal kick, the ball speed must be significantly slower, making it easier for the receiving team to handle.

You think we have a fantastic roster? How many Bills will make the pro bowl this year? 2 again, maybe 3? The roster is why the Bills were selected by so many experts to finish 3rd in the division and some not even having the Bills making the playoffs. I think they are having an amazing year for what they have. And if they can win it all with this roster, I say we REVERSE THE CURSE, and they can win 4 in a row. GO BILLS!!! -

I believe Colin Cowherd is wrong. Just like he was wrong when there was a rumor that Cleavland was going to take JA over Mayfield in the 2018 draft. Cowherd stated up and down that bad teams stay bad because of bad drafting and Cleveland would stay bad if they drafted Allen. He thought Mayfield was and would be significantly better than Josh. He said that Josh played in a small school and his completion percentage was terrible, even against other small schools. He stated over and over again that Josh would not improve his completion percentage in the NFL. He and many other so-called experts thought Josh would have a low ceiling in the NFL. But Beane and McDermott believed they were wrong, and went against the grain and selected Josh. To use Cowherd as any source of intelligence about the extent of someone's abilities is crazy, especially given his track record of sucking at it. GO BILLS!!! -

Why? Most close games are determined by turnovers. Overall: Teams with a positive turnover margin win about 70% of the time Turnover margin of two: Teams win 83.9% of the time Turnover margin of three or more: Teams win 90.7% of the time -

I like our chances because the Bills are leading the league in takeaways with 19 (11 Int and 8 FR) while only having 6 giveaways (4 Int and 2 FL) for a +13. The Chiefs are near the bottom of the league with only 8 takeaways (5 Int and 3 FR) while turning the ball over 12 times (9 Int and 3 FL) for a -4. Go Bills!! -

From their website it doesn't specify home or visitor side. This site has the image of the side view, I am assuming both sideline sections will be like this because it doesn't specify. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/updates-on-bills-2024-season-ticket-member-renewals-and-opening-of-bills-stadium-experience -

I agree! This board absolutely sucks now. It was better during the drought years. Now, many so-called Bills fans piss and moan like children. I no longer live in the area and this site was the best place to go to get good Bills info, been here for over 14 years. Now it is infected with so called Bills fans that have over 20,000 posts and only joined 2 years ago crying like little girls who weren't invited to the prom. Give me a break. Go Bills!!!! Time for another beer. -

I am amazed by the number of haters of this pick and self-proclaimed brilliance in the evaluation of NFL talent. I will admit, it is out of my scope to evaluate talent in the NFL. So, I leave it to those who get paid to do it. Mel Kiper had Keon as the 2nd day best receiver available and the third best available overall. I look at the haters of this pick and I laugh at superiority complex. What makes them think they are a better evaluation of talent than Bean and Kipler? You look like fools to me, or on Kraft's payroll trolling here. Drink your beer and keep your mouth shut. It's better to keep your mouth shut and thought of as a fool than open it and remove all doubt. I trust the process. Go Bills!!! -

Statistically he had an amazing year for his limited targets. He led the league in yards per target with 13.6. The 10th best in the league was only 10 yards per target. That's a 3.6 yards difference between the #1 and #10. He led the league in W/R catch rate with a 86.7% The 10th best W/R catch rate was 73.4%, again a significant difference. 3rd longest reception in the NFL for 81 yards. He Led the NFL in Receiving Success Rate with 73.3% (a successful catch as one which gains at least 40% of the yards required on first down, 60% of the yards required on second down, and converts third and fourth downs.) 12th in yards per catch with 15.7 Was 136th in the NFL with 45 targets, however he was 66th in the league with 611 yards for the season. They need to try to feed him the ball more, hopefully he can produce similar results with more targets. Go Bills!! Next Year!!!! https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2023/receiving.htm

With the turnovers and location, along with the pick six in the first Quarter, any below average QB would have had the game over by the first quarter.

JA did everything possible to loose this game. McD's Defense won this game.
