  1. I played both FanDuel and DraftKings for $20 each... DraftKings lost but my FanDuel account has $45 so I'm $5 up on the year. I really enjoy picking a line up and playing new teams each week. My NFL.com Fantasy leagues are great, but playing a few bucks with a chance to win 20k or 50k is exciting. I love it and see this as a skill game and challenge. I think the states are just jealous that so much revenue is being made without them getting their cut, so they are trying to shut it down and figure out a way to cash in. All harmless fun and a great way to enjoy a football weekend.
  2. Sorry but what part of FRED is better than BOOBIE are you not understanding. I never said take Fred over Karlos. I said it would have been better not to cut him. I think Fred as a #3 would have had fresh legs when Karlos AND Shady went down and we would not have had Boobie wreck the Giants game. I think a fresh Freddie runs for 80-100 yds and picks up a TD or 2. I also think Fred is a great locker room presence and helps keep the young guys focused. Boobie was a drive killer and EJ could not sustain either. I think a cooler level headed offense with Fred filling in and Cassel playing conservative would have yielded at least 1 more win WITHOUT sacrificing the future or messing with the cap. I think it was a bad front office decision and I stand by it. We are 5-4 but could be in a much better playoff position, maybe even close enough to take the AFC East with a strong late run and the Pats hurting. Now it's wild card time but as long as we stay healthy, we may be able to make a run. Just saying.
  3. Simply put.. Freddie is better than Boobie. Cassel while sucking horribly is still better than EJ. They salvage at least one of the losses. We could have used Percy or Thompson. And when Karlos and Shady went down, Fred would have stepped up. And keeping EJ off the field is always a good idea.
  4. I can't help but think that if we kept Freddy and Matt, we'd be sitting at 7-2 right now, at worst 6-3. EJ and Boobie lost those games. With Freddie in the mix, he is fresh against the Giants and Jags and carries us through plus Matty doesn't make those bonehead EJ mistakes. For all the good Whaley has done, this one is on him. Should never have cut Fred and traded Cassel. For all the flamers, consider this: Before Cassel was traded, it was widely reported how he was a great influence in the quarterback room. How he helped the young guys learn quicker and knew the playbook well. Even if EJ did start, could Cassel have helped him settle down and get him ready to play? Could Cassel have spotted EJ in relief or played game manager to get us through those awful 0-2 games where EJ started. Also Fred is a great locker room guy. He could have played behind Karlos and Shady in spot relief and been rested for when he was really needed. To me Freddie runs for 80+ against the Giants and has another 20-30 receiving yards and a TD or 2. He also contributes heavily against the Jags with Boobie or Wood as a change of pace. Lest we forget how good Fred is at picking up the blitz and catching the ball out of the backfield. Perhaps EJ isn't as rattled with Fred picking up the blitz and acting as a safety valve. And even though Cassel looked bad for the Cowboys, remember he had NO TIME to learn the playbook and he has no support in Dallas. Cassel knew our offense and was suited for some spot relief to be a game manager for a game or 2 while EJ was still a development guy and should be 3rd. That's my 2 cents from a die hard Bills fan for 40 years! And no I am not on coke, just pepsi.
  5. I do miss the Dick LeBeau, Wade Phillips and Shwartz Defenses. They all made the most of who we had and not what they thought we should do? I believe LeBeau was our best Defensive Coordinator. I'm in shock at how quickly Rex made this D regress. Hopefully they can pull it together in time for a big run.
  6. I hear you on that one. Someone has to stop Tommy Boy and knock him on his ass. If it ain't the Bills, then at least the Broncs will do.
  7. Dear REX and Dennis, Do you notice how Denver is lining up wider and letting the front four loose. We did this VERY successfully last year and had the same kind of result against Green Bay. The last safety was a sad, sad reminder of how we should be playing Defense. Please learn from this and let's the boys loose. We have half a season and a wide open AFC Wild Card spot up for grabs. The only reason we are not 5-2 is because of some very questionable coaching and letting EJ become the #2. It's time to turn this around and take what's ours. GO BILLS!
  8. WTF are you smoking... EJ? These last two games should tell you something.
  9. I'm sick of NFL officiating. The fix is on and it's not stopping. Games are in control of the refs and not the players. It's truly disgusting.
  10. the boy is maddeningly inconsistent and is not a pro starter or backup. He may be a #3. EJ consistently misses short throws that any NFL QB should make. Yeah he makes a few plays here and there, but not enough to overcome his blatant deficiencies. Don't get me wrong, he is a great kid and hard worker, but so is Tebow and neither of them are NFL starters.
  11. I say yes. Today's phantom call could have killed the season.
  12. We honestly look like the worst team in the AFC East. Everyone else in the division is improving. We are declining. If we ever get healthy Tyrod can keep us competitive but REX has this team going backwards.
  13. I think it's time we pull out Johnson, send EJ packing and sign a vet as insurance. Damn I'd take arts and crafty Tony Romo or high voice Peyton before I let fish hands Manual step back on that field. This should be the last time we see EJ in a Bills uni.
  14. Cassel love isn't love, but you can tell in the first drive, he made the throw to the flat that EJ missed at least 5-6 times today. EJ was maddening to watch.
  15. the f'k you didn't.... you cost us EJ. you cost us dearly. one throw from Cassel and he makes a throw that EJ missed at least 5 times today.... damn it... you cost us the season EJ
  16. I fell off this ledge years ago and have been hanging over the falls waiting for the Bills to rescue me. That's not happening. AFC East Cellar Dwellers again. 6-10 will be lucky.
  17. pretty much sucked. I have very high speed internet and watched with my computer playing out to the big screen. lots of freezes, re-loads and bad picture quality at times. kind of like how the Bills played. Moments of success streamed between a horrid mess.
  18. They showed me a lot of gut-wrenching football
  19. 10. Pegula bought flash over substance. Rex said all the right things, but there was a reason he was run out of New York. It's pretty evident with the Jets turnaround and Bills demise. 9. Whaley stubbornly stuck to EJ. Flash over substance again, but this flash is so small that the negatives outweigh the positives. TT will make a great backup and maybe a good QB but he is not going to save this franchise. 8. Losing in the trenches. It's obvious at this point that the Bills are not the bully Rex said he'd build. The curtain came off OZ and the Wizard is just a munchkin with a Bills logo tattooed to his ass. 7. Somebody needs to take one for the team and make love to the refs. Why they continually give the opposing team phantom calls to shift momentum is puzzling on governmental levels. 6. Training! The amount of injuries the Bill have had to overcome is mind-blowing. Something is going on with the way things are run that we have this much bad luck every year. Either it's a curse, we just don't get our players ready for contact, or we keep investing in players made of glass. 5. Play-calling. Both sides of the ball have been maddening in their play calling decisions. For so called geniuses why can't we make the necessary adjustments to other teams taking control in the 3rd quarter. 4. EJ sucks. Kind of like #9 but with the finger pointing solely at the man who is just not an NFL QB. No matter how likable and hard working the kid is, he does not belong on the field. 3. EJ really really really really sucks. 0-2. If Tyrod can not play after the bye, we need to get Johnson ready and find someone else. He can safely be cut with no hard feelings. Maybe when Romo is better with can get Cassel back for a 1st. That's how bad our braintrust is. 2. The inmates are getting ready to run the asylum. Rex has lost control of this team and they are too far gone. I'm not sure there is a way to recover and save this season. Maybe Tyrod and Sammy will help but we are so far from elite, that it is heart-breaking. I'm not the type to lose control but my smart TV is suing me for verbal abuse after today. 1. It's the Buffalo Bills. We may actually be cursed. No fan should endure a history of football like we've witnessed in Buffalo. Although it's been years since I moved away, football is the heart of this city and it deserves a champion. So close, but so far to go. Add the the list.. There's probably at least 100 reasons we suck.
  20. Buffalo's offense is just so hard to watch with EJ at the helm. He has nothing to give.
  21. If Rex didn't tinker and F'k this defense up, we would be 4-2 or 5-1 and feeling like contenders. I'd rather have Tyrod than Fitz. Sammy will shine if he takes off his glass slippers and if we can get Shady and Karlos healthy our run game can be stout.
