  1. Yeah I really can't stand him either. He is pretentious and a douche. Also the show is horrible as it is filled with repetitive topics as well as a snails pace talking to elongate the section ever more. His interviews usually are good though but his filler is horrible.
  2. I want Whitney Mercilus in a trade down. While our signings have certainly beefed up our line I would love to add this guy. I think some players that other teams will be interested in are Tannehill, Richardson, Coples, maybe even Decastro. Other teams draft boards may necessitate them jumping up in front of teams that are picking in front of them to get the player/position they want.
  3. Yep I've actually come around to this as well. There isn't a position I would be mad that they drafted. I certainly have preferences but if an elite prospect is staring you in the face you almost have to take him regardless... And save the Decastro pleas. OGs are not top prospects imo
  4. This. The idea of whether or not to take a qb late has more to do with other positions success rate in the nfl not the qb position alone. Is it less likely a qb from round 6 will be a hof yes but the same can be said for a multitude of positions if not every one. Oh yeah eff Tom Brady and the Pats for getting Lucky!
  5. What in his game reminds you of White? White was a horrible passer and a runner first second and third. I see no comparison of the 2 at all. The McCoy comparison maybe but def not Pat White. As for Moore the prospect he does have a chance to be good/great in this league. I understand the knock on his height but not in his game. He is lethally accurate to the tune of 74%. He has a long history of production and through watching his games I keep seeing an NFL player. Then again I thought McCoy would be a star (he still may be good but has no weapons) and to this point I have been wrong about him. For the other argument that is going on... Late round qbs are brought in to be developed. You see something you like in a qb but some things you don't like. Bring them in try to work on them. If it's a success you get Matt Hasselback, Matt Cassell, Brad Johnson, Trent Green, Rich Gannon, and maybe just maybe a Tom Brady. If it's not it is another late round pick that didn't make the roster. I don't understand why it is acceptable to take other positions have it not work and cut the player, but if it is a qb it is a waste of a pick. Late round qbs SHOULD be taken with teams that have an entrenched starter that will give the pick time to develop. I remember the Ron Wolf (former packer gm) saying he would take one every year and hope to find a good one or at least one he could use as a trade able asset.
  6. Although I do like Moore and think he has a chance to be a great (yes great) qb in this league I really would like his LT. Nate Potter to me has everything you want in a LT. I'm hoping he is picked with our first 4th rounder and is the multiple tackle Buddy is talking about. If they took Moore with the 2nd 4th rounder I wouldn't be upset either. 3rd to me is to early as I have the top 3 picks slated for OT, CB, LB, WR. Yes I know there are 4 positions there but I feel the top 3 picks will be out of these positions. I like the idea of drafting a qb every year with a late pick and see if you can't get lucky, but if the player is a 2nd or 3rd rounder they should be a day 1 contributor and starter down the road.
  7. I'm not a Tannehill supporter so this article scares for a couple of reasons. Cosell has some concerns about Tannehill... a tendency to lock his front leg as he delivers the ball This screams a knee injury waiting to happen Cosell says Tannehill compares favorably to last year’s 12th overall pick, Christian Ponder who the Bills loved At this point, he would be best in a quick-rhythm, short-to-intermediate passing game which we run If the Bills take him I will root like hell that he turns out great but I just don't see it. If Barkley had come out this year Tannehill would not be rated this high and there wouldn't be this lovefest for him imo. He doesn't seem to have the "it" factor to me. I will be hoping he is off the clock before the Bills pick for 2 reasons. 1. I don't think he's very good and 2. It will push someone better down to our pick.
  8. This. He's looking to get paid not to take a bargain deal and join a contender. He already plays for one. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats part with picks for a great player just don't see why the bears would do this
  9. Ryan broyles.... Maybe the injury is why he is rated so low but wow does this kid produce!
  10. first 50 on me implies that the number of attendees wont be limited just the amount of people he will pay for. I would assume others can join but pay their own way. All just my assumption though...
  11. How about this list of 3 guys I want in the draft... Whitney Mercilus - amazing production albeit for only 1 year. Ideal size/speed combo. Fumble forcing machine! DeQuan Menzie - Cb from alabama played opposite of Kirkpatrick and saw the lions share of throws his way. He held up quite nicely. He is rated anywhere from third to fifth round and would be a steal that late imo. Nate Potter - LT from Boise. No confusion about whether he will play left or right. His athleticism lends itself to the left side. He has a ton of experience in a pass first offense. Some knocks on strength/level of competition but to me looks like the real deal. Since we've pretty much panned the OP's picks (save for Quick who I also like and he IS on people's radar) what do you guys think of these 3? btw as an add on please save the maybin/mercilus comment they really couldn't be more different players....
  12. Is anyone else convinced that Jimmy Spags is just crayonz trying a different ruse? It was funny for a while but now its boring.....
  13. A draft for that 1st round - Floyd wr notre dame 2nd - best lb available (lavonte david, bruce irvin, etc...) 3rd - dequan menzie cb alabama 4th - nate potter ot boise st or if you prefer 1st - martin ot stanford 2nd - same set of lbs 3rd - dequan menzie cb alabama 4th - slew of wrs (tommy streeter, jordan white, nick toon, etc)
  14. yes I apologize i mix those two up all the time. Datko has the minor injury history. Sanders has a pretty good track record and does well in pass pro and run blocking. His only area of struggle is with the Bull rush and possibly awareness. Don't know how many of you remember this but it's worth a laugh http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=cV448r5f2qI
  15. Zebrie Sanders FSU - some injury history but very highly rated before injuries Brandon Mosley Auburn - some struggles with bull rushes but a legitimate prospect. Played mostly rt. Mitchell Schwartz Cal - better run blocker than pass blocker and projects to rt. 4 years of production though Matt McCants UAB - tall (6'7") and skinny 295 with some strength concerns. Nate Potter Boise - won't pretend to be impartial. This is the guy I would like the Bills to get. He's got good size, plenty of experience/production, and played in a pass heavy offense. There are concerns for him handling speed rushers as well as if he can generate good push on short yardage situations. Bobbie Massie Ole Miss - played rt in college and projects there in the pros. Excellent run blocker but doesn't project to lt due to some pass blocking concerns. These are prospects that fall anywhere from 2nd-4th round. I see one of these guys being taken somewhere in this time frame by the Bills if Moose Martin isn't the pick (right now it seems that is what it will be).
  16. Yeah I wouldn't be so excited about this move from a Bills fan perspective. Garrrard is a more than capable starter with career numbers of 89 tds to 54 ints 16,003 passing yards, 17 rushing tds, and a 61.6 completion percentage. He is by far and away the best of what was left out there. All in all its an excellent pickup for the dolphins imo.
  17. Least surprising signing of the offseason.
  18. Sitting at my desk with the shoutbox up the Mario Williams thread open and tabs of pft and ESPN all while streaming wgr. I already had permission to leave at 2 for the Syracuse game but as soon as the news came across and was confirmed I put my coat and walked straight out. It was earlier than 2 but i didn't care. I then proceeded to drink too much tanqueray in celebration. Went to work hungover and blamed it on a stomach ache from pizza!
  19. Other teams fans before the signing: Mario Williams is a beast! He's the best defensive player out there! If (fill in the blank) signs him they'll win the super Bowl! Other teams fans after the signing: Mario Williams sucks. He's injury prone and only plays at half speed anyway. The Texans were better without him! He's just another greedy player. Hell before the signing: hot and humid Hell after the signing: cool and breezy!
  20. how does it make it to page 3 and no one has pointed out the irony of the thread title?! Im sure Ill get call stupid for this but Id sign Evans and Maybin back Anyone see anything wrong with that sentence? Besides it containing an idea to bring back Maybin and Lee I mean lol
  21. as an idea.. I would offer our 1st for their second and Allen. I think it would work out for both sides. The Bills wouldn't surrender much (dropping 23 spots in the draft but still getting a pick in return. The vikings would have the 4th and 10th pick which would help them rebuild (obviously what they are doing if they trade Allen). The only loser in the deal would be the WNY deer population! It would be a monster line!
  22. When players are traded the new team is not responsible for their signing bonus. Therefore it will not be amortized over the length of the deal as usual. His cap hit would be the salary by itself. It also allows the team that trades for the player to cut said player without any cap penalty. They touch on it here... http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-03-13/sports/chi-dollars-and-sense-brandon-marshalls-contract-20120313_1_brandon-marshall-workout-bonus-base-salary
  23. gotta give kb props too he also confirmed this early but well done you 2
  24. John ditulio discussing Mario to have dinner in buffalo now. Of you made it up Metz this is legendary lol
  25. great deal for the Bears as it reunites Cutler and Marshall who did serious damage for the Broncos. What is the Dolphins move now? This is puzzling to say the least... If they do make a play for Flynn this hurts him tremendously.
