  1. Yep and I don't have any cousins named Kate Upton lol. If I have to follow the rules of this pole it's Wilson in the 4th. I'm not enamored with any of them tbh though at the rounds they are projected, if you pushed every player down a round I have an easier time picking. Tannehill in the 2nd and I'd be okay, Osweiller in the 3rd I wouldn't mind, Cousins I don't care much for in any round, and Wilson in the 4th is I guess about right.
  2. The post below is very close to what happens imo. I don't think its a nefarious screw the Bills plan, I think it is a give the Pats* a break plan. Coming off of a bye is about a 50% chance to get a win. Sometimes your team is prepared and sometimes it is still taking a vacation. If you are given a cupcake (sorry that is what the Bills have been) then your chances of winning and getting ready for the next part of your season are increased (chalking up a division win doesn't hurt either). It isn't because the Bills have been good it's because they have been bad. Here is a link.. http://nflfilms.nfl.com/2011/10/30/numbers-game-bye-week-blues/ I don't trust Robert Kraft one bit and think he does have some say-so with the league. I also don't trust anything cheatriots. I will however say that it is done imo more to hook up the pats* than screw the Bills. I think the scenarios laid out of them getting other teams (when it isn't Buffalo) isn't far off either of giving them a better shot against tough competition. That's the part that stands out to me - no matter who the opponent is it seems to benfit the Pats* in some way. I checked the Bills 2008 schedule against the 2012 and literally the only game that was the same is week 10 against the Pats* on the road. It wasn't however after the Pats* bye. The only other game the Pats* have that is the same is week 8 against the Rams (this year is the london game) and week 10 against the Bills.
  3. Good luck to you! I'm getting married this August 4th and chose that date to make absolutely sure that my anniversary doesn't conflict with any major sporting events
  4. You guys are right. I was thinking about what they tried to do but the NFL balked at it. Here is the link I found... http://www.timewarnercable.com/northeast/site.faqs/DigitalCab/Programmin/Sports/NFL/Does-Time-Warner-Cable-carry-a
  5. My "realistic" dream 1) Blackmon - It's a stretch but if some team gets enamored enough with Floyd that they think he rates better than Blackmon he could be there at 10. Think Heyward Bay/Crabtree a couple of years ago. 2) Mercilus - projections on him vary greatly and I've seen rankings that have him available near the Bills pick. They are crazy imo as I don't see him making it out of the top 20 but hey it is what it is. 3) Lavonte David - due to the lack of 4-3 teams and size concerns on david maybe he falls into the 3rd round. Last year there were several lbers that were projected to go in the 2nd/3rd and went full rounds later. Maybe it will happen again. Let me finish by saying in no way do I think any of these players will be there at the picks i've put them at. However I think I've put out realistic scenarios of how they could be. Also I would like to admit I know I passed on LT but Potter in the 4th and another one soon after and I would be fine. I really think Potter is a player.
  6. You can get nfl network on time Warner but it is an additional charge. I believe it's part of their sports package and cost about 5.95 a month. Im not sure what other channels you get in the package but I am sure that it is available if you want to pay for it.
  7. The bolded is the exact opposite of what I saw. Also I was watching entire games and not just highlights. That said we are seeing two different things and its no biggie. I do wonder though where do you see him as a fit in this d? He would more than likely be asked to play olb and more than likely slb. What have you seen in his tape that you like at this position? Or do you expect him to be a de? I also don't see desire and hunger in his game. I was close to the wvu sidelines for su-wvu and he couldn't have seemed less interested. In looking up his stats he did nothing in the game and I mean not one single stat. Maybe this game and up close viewing of him is skewing my other looks at him but I'm not a fan.I don't think this kid pans out and for where he is projected I would prefer Lavonte David to him.
  8. My mind has already been changed. This kid is a player. In the article they compare him to Zach Thomas who had a ton of success under wanny. Also mentions that he played wlb so he is not only a mlb. I think a stud lb would finish the d rebuild with depth needed only. Like this kid he has the dreaded high motor moniker but he also has talent which is a great combo. He also seems like a kid that will react well to getting money instead of getting lazy. I don't disagree at all that David seems like he will be solid but don't discount Kuechly's coverage ability. He's a tackling machine and can cover! "Kuechly has an incredible nose for the ball and is one of the most fundamentally-sound tacklers in the business. His instincts are second to none and those make him a solid pass defender" http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/profile_display.cfm?prospect_id=2898 1. Luke Kuechly (6-3, 242 pounds), Boston College. Kuechly is the best coverage linebacker to come into the NFL in many years. http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2012-04-04/nfl-draft-2012-best-linebackers-luke-kuechly-donta-hightower#ixzz1rqR8vi8l
  9. Yeah like I said I used the eye test more than anything. I also won't discount his sack production but that was all it seemed he did got to the qb or got blown out of the play. Just what I saw in watching not the most expert of analysis but he failed my eye test.
  10. I have never been impressed with Irvin. Being a SU fan I watch a lot of big east football (yeah I don't know why either) and he just doesn't do it for me. He disappears for long stretches in games and is non existent in others. Just to confirm it wasn't only my eyes I looked up his stats... He had 44 career tackles in 2 years!
  11. I think G is the one position we are set at including depth. Rhinehart performed well in spot duty and I have zero complaints about Urbik or Levitre. Urbik also did well sliding over to C when wood went down. Secondly, can we stop this 10 year and were set garbage please? How many players in this league make it 10 years? How many busts are there each year in the draft? It is getting ridiculous that a RG in some people's mind already has made the Hall of Fame. BEFORE PLAYING A SINGLE SNAP! No one not Andrew Luck not RG3 is a guaranteed hall of famer let alone pro bowler. The hyperbole is incredible at times and discounts arguments. If you want to tell me DeCastro is technically sound (as some have) fine. If you want to tell me he is the safest bet I will argue that point as no one ever knows who the safest bet is. Aaron Curry a couple of years ago was the safest pick as was Robert Gallery and they were both busts. If you want to tell me he is a guaranteed anything I will disagree. There are no guarantees in the NFL Draft. /rant... and i'm sorry for yelling
  12. there are certain avatars that you immediately know who they are without seeing the name and yours fits that description! 10!
  13. wish we could pick multiples here but i voted for (or is it against?) Reiff. I hate Iowa Lineman. I don't know why they always get so much hype but it seems they never pan out quite as well as projected.
  14. Has there ever been a draft where the top 7 players on the board all turn out to be perrenial pro bowlers/franchise players? It is very likely that at least 2 of these guys will be busts 2 more will be middling talents and then 3 pro bowlers. I also am in the camp that thinks DeCastro will not be on their board or their pick due to the whole try tackles and if they fail make them guards theory. I'm not sure if your serious or not but just in case you are... Kuechly had almost as many tackles this year (191) as Herzlich had in his career (218). Listen to these numbers from Kuechly: Kuechly led the nation with an astounding 191 tackles Kuechly compiled his stats in the 12-game regular season, as the team finished with a 4-8 record and was ineligible for post-season play. He still almost broke the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) single-season tackle record (193, set by Lawrence Flugence in a 14-game season) and did break the single season tackles-per-game record with 15.9 (previously held by Rick Sherrod with a 15.6 average over a 10-game season).[12] Kuechly broke the BC and ACC career tackle records with 532 tackles, eclipsing the previous record of 524 held by Stephen Boyd and only 13 tackles short of the NCAA FBS record held by Tim McGarigle (and Kuechly did it in only 3 years) Herzlich may be a better "story" with the coming back from cancer but they are not anywhere on the same level as a player.
  15. Not that I totally disagree the pats* are better I dont think they are light years better. They were one missed catch away from a ring yes but they were also one missed catch away from not even making the super bowl. Thy beat one team with a winning record last year. They also have shown the formula to be beat namely a pass rush which the bills finally have. Add to that the fact the bills beat them once and were up 21-0 in the second game. The bills also were a Fitz pick away from beating the giants in new (york) jersey. In football anything can happen and the bills have positioned themselves nicely to make a solid playoff push this year. Every team has holes. New England lacks a d and a deep passing game, the jets and dolphins lack a qb, it's April man cheer up!
  16. I gotta make a correction here. Julio Jones was taken with the 6th pick in a trade by the Browns. The 7th pick was Aldon Smith by the niners who was by all accounts at the time a reach. what they said about him before the draft: http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/profile_display.cfm?prospect_id=2823 St. Louis will be eyeing him with the 14th overall pick, but if they pass on him, Smith could slide down to the later part of the first round. what he did: 31 tackles, 14 sacks, and 2 ff So it still confirms your "crapshoot theory" but I wanted to clear this up.
  17. Last year everyone knew they were out of it and attendance reflected that. Also as I mentioned earlier you can't compare the early nineties because fans were spoiled then. I feel that playoff starved fans will show if there is hope of a playoff spot. Also after the winter we just had what's to say the weather will be that bad? Home field advantage is just that an advantage. Even if attendance is bad the other team has to travel and not the bills.
  18. ouch we play the niners on a short week on the west coast and they play us coming off of their bye and at home if this schedule is true.
  19. I agree they prob wish it was reversed and promo will prob disagree with me but... If the team is competitive I would rather finish with 3 of 4 at home as they make a *gasp* playoff push. I know in the early 90's the games didn't sell out but after the fans have been this playoff starved I don't know as if this will be an issue (we were spoiled in the late 80s early 90s). I would certainly be more inclined to attend if the games meant something instead of freezing my butt off for no reason.
  20. I just posted that in the shoutbox. Would be a nice change!
  21. I've harped on them several times but they are later round projections so I'll put them here too. 1. DeQuan Menzie - CB alabama - played opposite of Kirkpatrick, tested often and held up well. 2. Nate Potter - LT Boise - some strength concerns but agile and projected to be able to handle the left side.
  22. I also like Potter a lot. Not sure about DeCastro early but Potter would be a steal in the 4th. He has plenty of experience and no questions about where he will play in the NFL. Also it fits in the range of where Buddy likes to take ol. Something else maybe people can help me out with... I remember a Buddy interview where he talked about Rieff and Martin, and while he had some knocks on Rieff all he said about Martin was good player... good player. Does anyone else remember this? I can't find the link anywhere and seem to remember it around the combine.
  23. I disagree wholeheartedly with the bolded statement. Robert Gallery was the surest thing in the draft the year he came out and went #2 overall to the raiders. He couldn't play lt so they tried rt when he couldn't play there they bumped him to guard. He wasn't resigned moved on to the seahawks who cut him to save salary this year. Not exactly a sure thing. Bryan Bulaga has fared much better on the right side. He was blocked from lt by chad clifton and has yet to play lt. He was drafted 23 overall and has performed well in his role. Eric Steinbach was drafted in the second round and has been excellent at guard for his career. However he sat out all of last year with a back injury. So the 3 player I listed were all big ten offensive lineman of the year players. The value of Bulaga and Steinbach is because the were much later than the 10th pick. If either were taken there it would have been a stretch. However the Bills are looking for a LT! Which Iowa guys have yet to prove being capable of playing, and are certainly not the best value or a sure thing as you state.

  25. Cam Newton and Ben Roethlisberger at 6'5" were conveniently left off this list. Although I won't rave about Osweiller's skillset I will say he looks to be pretty mobile and agile for his size, not the statue that most people that size tend to be.
