  1. I understand the betting smarts behind adding something like a Henry TD into a parlay for last Sundays game but man I always feel dirty needing certain opponents to do well. I hit a good one on the Vikings comeback game a couple years ago with one of the legs being a Dalvin Cook TD. When he broke off that 80+ yarder I was pumped as the game seemed well in hand for the Bills at the time. In retrospect though, after the epic collapse, I always hated myself for that moment of joy when Cook broke away for that score so I just can't do it anymore.
  2. Sure, but coming from someone outside of WNY mid tier wings are still much better than most places in the rest of the country. Even as close as I am to Buffalo in Syracuse I would love for some places around here to have wings that were "mid-tier". 😉
  3. Surprised no one has mentioned Pearl Street Brewery as far as downtown places to go for good food/wings. Definitely walkable from the Curtis if the weather is nice, maybe .5 mile. https://pearlstreetgrill.com/ Lucky Day is a great call too. Basically right across the street from Curtis.
  4. Did anyone see if the fan was actually removed from the game by security afterwards?
  5. I enjoyed the season. Like some others have said I was also happy for the level of boring stuff as that meant no drama. A little bit of an inside look at the way the team operates and a good amount of player personality fluff, basically a much better produced version of Embedded.
  6. You will only get the Bills games that are on Sundays in the 1 or 4 time slots. Sunday night football, monday night football, thursday night football, and any of the exclusive games the NFL sells to other streaming apps aren't included with the sunday ticket package.
  7. I know for me personally if the Sunday ticket actually did give me access to every game then it would be well worth the top end price point just for the ease of access and having everything in one spot for one price. And I do currently subscribe, albeit using my wife's educator discount, but even at the lower price I question if it is worth it when I only get the 1 and 4 Sunday games excluding the locally broadcast. The NFL is making it a PITA to view their product so I understand why even fans who can afford it, like Lebron certainly can, still go to these sites. There really is something to be said for the ease of access argument.
  8. This old oatmeal comic nails the piracy issue for a lot of people's experiences with content in the digital world. https://theoatmeal.com/comics/game_of_thrones
  9. The mistake many make in these piracy debates is counting the pirated content as lost revenue. If piracy ceased to exist 100% of those who pirated would not instantly start paying for the content.
  10. Really enjoyed the Billy Joel doc on HBO Max. Lots of ups and downs in his life that I really didn't know anything about.
  11. Can't have a great drummer thread without including Danny Carey. His ability with odd time signatures and polyrhythms is masterful.
  12. Never. Grandma took me to a Bills game as a kid in the mid 80s and I don't think I have missed watching a game since. Like someone mentioned before up thread, Sundays being reserved for the Bills was always something that was brought up early in any of my relationships and something my wife has now embraced. Sabres on the other hand.... 🤢
  13. My initial thought was Bryce Paup but looks like he played 3 years. Guess I just remember the one dominant season he had. So instead I'll say Reggie Bush. Have to give some love to a guy with negative rushing yards for his Buffalo Bills career. 😄
  14. This is a longer watch but is a really good report on all the different angles/players involved in the modern ticketing model. It covers a lot of the stuff being discussed in this thread from varying points of view.
  15. This is accurate. Ever since TM added their variable based pricing model the second a show goes on sale the price is immediately determined based on the customer traffic load on their site. The idea that a certain section of a certain arena will always be around the same face value cost for any given concert is forever gone as long as TM is the main player.
  16. Read an article a few weeks ago about the rising ticket prices which said based on their research and data that a high percentage of people are using payment plans for single event tickets. IIRC it was over 60% for Coachella. That makes me think that an even bigger chunk of people are probably just running up credit cards to cover these prices. I blame this trend of high ticket prices on social media. It is causing way too much FOMO which is driving up the prices because more and more people just can't imagine missing out and need to go at any cost. Long gone are the days where anyone could just say that were at the big show/game to not feel left out. Now if you don't have a selfie of yourself at the event you are relegated to a lower social class.
  17. My family has had seats on the visitor side around the 35 yard line row 30 for decades. Being a section closer to center field would be a little nicer but I think the distance from the field is perfect. Has a nice above angle on the field to be able to see everything unfold perfectly. Also it is nice to not have too far of a walk up the aisle to the concourse. I had row 5 for the opener last year and man my old a55 legs were feeling it the next day after a few trips up and down on those stairs.
  18. This was a memorable one for me too but for a little different reason. I was watching the game at a bar in Depew and remember that when that snow rolled into the stadium late into that game it wasn't doing anything up north where I was. However by the time I left the place, 20 minutes or so after the game had ended, the system had moved to my location and it was a rough ride home.
  19. Every time a thread like this comes up this is the first game I think of. Th results of that season notwithstanding, the feeling in the crowd for that opener was one of the best I remember being a part of.
  20. I heard the shuttles after the convert was a 💩 show. Sorry for the people who had to deal with that. I was lucky enough to be able to have the wife drop me off early and then come pick me up about an hour after the show ended so I didn't have to deal with any of the post show traffic nightmares. Agree about ST. Their sound was terrible. Not a massive fan but I know a handful of their songs. I might have been kind of tuned out by then but I didn't even realize they played Subliminal until I saw the setlist the next day. Not sure why the sound was so jacked up for them but then ok for Pantera and very good for Metallica.
  21. I thought it ended up going a lot more smoothly than I predicted, at least in the area around where I was sitting, 117. Definitely got crowded at times but concessions and bathrooms seemed to be pretty manageable all night. How was anyone else's experience?
  22. I'll be there. For anyone not familiar with the Dome it is woefully unequipped for a crowd of this size, so be prepared for concourses even worse than the Ralph during halftime as far as crowd density.
  23. Played a ton of Euchre in high school and college when I lived in the Buffalo area. Then when I moved to the Syracuse area no one had ever heard of it. It is all Pitch around here. Used to play on yahoo a lot when they still had live games and it seemed like most of the people I would meet on there were from WNY, Ohio, or Canada so if definitely seems somewhat regional.
