  1. Right, but Harbaugh and Carroll were at major programs trying to compete for national championships. Coaching staff orange was at, well, Syracuse -- competing for the upstate NY championship against Colgate, Army, UB, and Cornell. Not many NFL'ers where competing against Syracuse--at least not nearly as many as USC and Stanford were seeing.
  2. we need a TE, sign him (for a fair price--make it incentive laden)
  3. A good review, might be well worth a shot in the 3rd or 4th round.
  4. he looked awful in real - well, sort of real - game conditions at the Sr. Bowl. I'm just not seeing it in him.
  5. Brian Urlacher and the Bears have parted ways (is nothing sacred anymore?); regardless, I say get it done today Buddy!!! http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2013/03/full_release_bears_part_ways_w.html
  6. If it can be done, trade down in the 1st round to take him; that is, if he is really the guy you want. HOWEVER, you better have a back-up plan, and option 1A if he does get picked before your turn. But at this point, if he is really the guy the BIlls want at QB, I favor the trade down and try to get him later, and add a pick or two in the trade = that would be a great draft!
  7. Said it before, will say it again: Fitz was not the problem in Buffalo, it was the DEFENSE! Was he the answer, no, but he certainly was not the problem for this team. Ahhhh? How's the old saying go, "be careful what you wish for," and look, what do we have at QB now? NOTHING! And what's our prospects, a 2nd or 3rd round draftee in a year of bad QBs to draft. Great plan! Paying him 3 mil. will look like a bargain come October. Oh well, time to move on, let me just finish this >>> :wallbash: :wallbash:
  8. Don't we need a QB? I say sign that Fitzpatrick guy, we have lot's of cap room.
  9. If Smith falls this far, no brainer. The only other one I'd consider is Johnson from OK.
  10. lets hope! yuuuup! Buddy is still on the phone doing his background & character check with Manti's girlfriend . . . she just keeps calling
  11. All this reminds me of the Brady Quinn discussion a few years ago: Ryan Nassib = Brady Quinn, yes, I said it.
  12. ahhhh ???? . . . there is nothing ugly about winning, as matter of fact, in the NFL, it's the only thing. Who cares what it looks like or what others think about how you accomplished it? If the new Pope can play QB, get'er done Buddy!
  13. No one has posted on Ryan Nassib in the last 6 hours, figured it was time, just in case the world was going to blow up or something http://youtu.be/T13QyYeMVP0
  14. No, I think its just that there are not any top tier players.
  15. "His wish is to get back at the patriots a little bit due to the fact that he felt mistreated within the organization." Yes, I'm sure coming to Buffalo would just kill the Patriots (someone there will get fired). However, if he can be had for the right (cheap) price, take a flyer on him. Compared to what we have now (nothing), he's an all pro.
  16. Who's Jeff Tuel? And where was this rumor? link? Found him on Google, from Gil Brandts site, link Jeff Tuel , QB (6-3, 218) — Tuel ran the 40 in 4.60 and 4.65 seconds. He had a 4.12-second short shuttle and a 6.90-second three-cone drill. He had a 32-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-3 broad jump. Tuel had a great pro day, and I suspect that he will have a strong showing when he has a workout with the New England Patriots on March 22. Tuel will be joined by receiver Marquess Wilson — who was at the combine — at that workout, which will be held at the University of Idaho. Tuel also has a two-day visit with the Buffalo Bills set up for April 8-9.
  17. evil intent? i doubt it. sometimes people just make mistakes--some mistakes are harmless, and some cost you a lot of money. probably time to get a new agent.
  18. I totally agree, especially on the Defensive side .... it really can't get any worse, can it?
  19. There has been a lot of angst about letting Levitre go--I get that, I do think he has been the most consistent lineman the Bills have had the past few years. Not spectacular, but good. I would have preferred they keep him. However, having said that, I think the Bills starting group this season will not suffer. My prediction is that Wood will be playing guard, and Snow or Brown will be at center. Or, Wood staying at center and Brown becomes the starter at LG. I think that is still a pretty decent line. Either way, I don't see us using the #8 pick to select an o-lineman, and the guys there now will do a credible job. In the end, I don't see a drop-off coming. Your thoughts . . .
